Document is Blank After opening

I have downloaded the trial version to use until I get a proper license. I switched from FM 10 to FM 11. However, opening a document in FM11 whether it is from a FM11 template or a previous document in FM 10 displays only a blank document. If I click on anything in the interface, I can see the outline of the document, but once I click away, it is blank again. I am opening it unstructured FM which is the only interface I've used.
I have looked at preferences, view, etc. I don't see anything to turn off the WYSIWYG interface and see the document properly. There is no insertion point and the catalogs are set to show everything.

Since the trial version *is* the full version, I was going to suggest that something went wrong in your install. Maybe you didn't have full admin rights to your local machine or some other process was running that interfered with the FM installer?

I don't find your cartoonish expletive language amusing, but I'll help you with your problem.
You need to visit the web page of the maker of your video card and download/install the latest display driver for your hardware / OS.
If you're unwilling or unable to do this, you can deconfigure OpenGL Drawing temporarily in your Edit - Preferences - Performance dialog (remembering to restart Photoshop after). These are the features you'll lose without OpenGL: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/405/kb405745.html

I have a very similar issue after upgrading to iOS6.
I can see a preview (2 lines) of all the messages that existed before the upgrade, in Messages app. However, as soon as I open it, the contents disappear. When I go back to message list the message that I tried to open moves all the way down and preview also disappears.
I am able to see the preview only after manually closing the Messages app from springboard and then reopening the app.
Weird issue. The messages that disappear are the one's adverts and info messages mostly from banks, fund houses, credit cards etc. Some of them are really important. hope Apple takes notice.

Acrobat 7 document goes blank after digital signature

Secretary creates document on network drive. When a manager digitally signs the document it goes blank. Acrobat Pro 7.1.4. After multiple tries the document will work. Can automatic saving be disabled during the signing procedure so that the document does not have to be recreated to be signed again.

Finally I found the solution.
The file size increase is a result of the embedded information used for long-term signature validation.
If you do not need this feature, you can turn it off:
Preferences > Security > Advanced Preferences > Creation tab
disable "Include Signature’s Revocation"

Blank after opening gray screen

I have a MBP 17", and after the recent system update that was offered (and I installed), my display is acting screwy.
When I start up, I get the opening gray screen with Apple above the rotating dial. At the moment that it should pop up with my desktop, the screen goes black. The keys still work, and I think the system is properly completing the bootup, as I hear the "bonk" sound when I hit the escape key, etc. I've hard rebooted, reset the PRAM, all the usual troubleshooting. But I just can't get beyond the gray screen to my desktop. Any ideas?

Aha! I called Apple & got my answer. (I try the boards first.)
He told me that it seems my power management settings may have gotten messed up. Here's how he helped me through.
Disconnect all power (remove laptop batteries, too).
Press and hold the power-on button for 15 seconds.
Reconnect power, and startup the computer while zapping the PRAM. (Hold down "command" & "option" & "P" & "R" all together immediately after hitting startup button and BEFORE the first chime.
Hold the buttons through the second chime, then release.
My MBP chimed once more, then viola! My display was back up.

Either From File menu > Prcess Multiple files or with any actions?
In process multiple file If you will have choosen different source and destination folder location, it will copy the new result on any other location.

Mystery solved.
My .pdf files had been defaulting to Acrobat to open. I just designated Reader as the default for opening .pdf, and am now able to open those files normally.
Apparently, I installed Acrobat but had not yet confirmed my subscription. The installation automatically made Acrobat the default for opening .pdf files, then wouldn't allow documents to be displayed for more than a few seconds before closing itself. I assume that will no longer be the case once the bill is paid.

You select the printer properties and set the appropriate page size (I think there is a place to set it in PDF Maker too, but not sure). In the printer, this is equivalent to putting the proper paper in the printer.

Pages is not saving document correctly. After saving the changes either do not appear or you can not open the file. The error is "not a valid format" I am in Pages '09 4.1 (923). I also use Parallels. Anyone having similar issues?

I'm not sure that Lion AutoSave feature apply to network servers.
I'm just sure that the Versions feature doesn't.

Open the photo. Press ctrl+A (command+A on a mac) to select it, then Ctrl+C (command+C) to copy it. Go to your word processing document and press Ctrl+V (command+V) to paste it in. (Note that for the last step the procedure may vary slightly depending on your word processor.)

Are you just asking because you want to know, or do you have a problem you need to solve? I don't know how to write a program, but I think what your are describing is not an unusual thing for a program to do. The * tells you that changes have been made since the last save, and the program reserves a portion of memory for undo functions. I suppose a coder could tell you how it works, but I don't think it would help an average user to know, but that's just my opinion.

Document becomes progressively blurry after opening it

This is going to be hard to explain but whenever I open a PDF document for editing or creation in Acrobat 9 CS4 (version 9.1.3), the document gets blurry after moving the cursor even just a few pixels anywhere on the screen.
Here are two screenshots of it happening:

As you can see, the document becomes blurry for some odd reason.
Here's another example: (All information entered is fake, so don't fret. I'm filling it out for a tax preparation course I'm taking.)

It's getting on my nerves honestly.
I've gotten this problem SINCE Windows XP SP3. It reappeared again when I did a clean install of Vista x64 SP1 and reinstalled Acrobat 9 CS4. Now, I'm on Windows 7 RTM x64 and again it is a clean installation. Same problem appears. So, it's either one of two things:
- my video card
- or Acrobat 9 itself
I've been using Catalyst 8.5 to 9.3 on XP SP3 before I switched over to Vista x64. Then, Catalyst 9.4 to 9.6 in Vista x64. By Windows 7 RTM x64, Catalyst 9.7 to 9.9, where I am at now.
Only thing that hasn't changed are the hardware specs through all 3 operating systems:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ BE
4 GB DDR2 667 MHz RAM
Sapphire Radeon HD3870 (Catalyst 9.9 currently)
MSI K9A2 CF motherboard (version 1.A bios, most current)
Below are the settings I'm using and have tested/tried for Acrobat 9 CS4:
Page Display - Single Page; Zoom 100%
3D & Multimedia - Switched between Software, DirectX 8 and DirectX 9 (current setting); Unchecking and checking Enable hardware rendering for legacy video cards; Enable double-sided rendering
Settings in Catalyst 9.9 currently:
- Catalyst AI disabled
- AA set to 8X, all filters tried; currently set to Narrow-tent
- Adaptive AA set to Quality
- Anisitropic Filtering set to 8X
- Mip-map set to High Quality
If anyone here can help me fix this, you'll be my hero. I use Acrobat daily for work so I really like this problem fixed.

Firefox closes a document after opened. Hard to read news articles on some sites. Getting very tired of article closing one paragraph into it.

Firefox continues to close documents after opened on some sites. News articles opened will close after opened. Very upsetting to have to switch to another browser just to read an article. It also closes down Amazon.com after opened. It is not just one URL. Cache has been cleared, spy ware cleaned, and no viruses. Very frustrating.

Among the alternatives not mentioned... Using a TiVo DVR, rather than the X1; a Roamio Plus or Pro would solve both the concern over the quality of the DVR, as well as providing the MoCA bridge capability the poster so desperately wanted the X1 DVR to provide. (Although the TiVo's support only MoCA 1.1.) Just get a third-party MoCA adapter for the distant location. Why the hang-up on having a device provided by Comcast? This seems especially ironic given the opinions expressed regarding payments over time to Comcast. If a MoCA 2.0 bridge was the requirement, they don't exist outside providers. So couldn't the poster have simply requested a replacement XB3 from the local office and configured it down to only providing MoCA bridging -- and perhaps as a wireless access point? Comcast would bill him the monthly rate for the extra device, but such is the state of MoCA 2.0. Much of the OP sounds like frustration over devices providing capabilities the poster *thinks* they should have.

My Acrobat 8.1.3 shuts down seconds after opening any document or other activity.

I have a Dell XPS 8100 operating Windows 7 Home Premium. I haven't used the Acrobat for a while so am not sure when the problem began. But today, when I tried opening several documents (all, or one at a time), Acrobat would shut down within seconds. The same happens when I select any tab after opening Acrobat. I went through the repair both with and without the disc, rebooting each time, but the problem is still there. Suggestions?

That is really strange and not an expected behavior. Other than the reinstall, I don't really have other suggestions (wish I did). Sometimes when this kind of thing occurs, there is another product that is causing an issue. If you are runnin your AA8 on a 64-bit machine, that may be the issue. I have only heard of success 2 times for that combination, and I am not sure I believe the report in full.
If you decide to do the Reinstall, then the process is as follows: deactivate, uninstall, remove the Acrobat folder (if any of it is left), run the cleaner http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, reboot, install, activate, update. Typically all of the updates can be done and then reboot, rather than all the extra reboots.
