Document Lifetime hides all

Dear KM friends,
Enbling Lifetime on a folder hides all the documents of that folder, even though the life time of a particular document got valid visible time.
plz help me

Hi Kantha,
After activating time-dependent publishing (or changing some date settings for some document), you should wait for a maximum of 15 minutes to let these changes take effect, see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/d1/5b6635f5e0ef428fb513336881679b/frameset.htm
If you have still documents you expect to show up but which do not for read-only users, as an admin, choose details of this document --> settings --> properties --> lifetime. Good chances are that there is exactly one point in time for "valid from" as well as for "valid until", which leads to no show-up for read-only users ever.

I have a document library and I want to give access to client. I want to hide all documents by default except the few I share with them.
If I upload new document it should not be visible to them by default until I share with them.
I have given read access to client but they can see all documents by default and every time I upload a new document I have to manually control the permissions.

If you want only document creator has view/edit/delete permission on document item created by himself, it has to set the permission on the list time level for each item.
You can try using workflow to break the item permission inheritance and replace the proper permision on the current item per the following article.

For uplaoding document to a library, I tested before, you can check and make sure the user has "View Application pages" permission on library level, then test again.

SHOW ALL / HIDE ALL BUTTONS produce error in chm but not in "View Selected Item"

My SHOW ALL and HIDE ALL buttons work in the View Selected
Item mode. However, the compiled version generates an error tag:

In short, the the compiled chm is located in the SSL. I tried
adding showhide.js and ehlpDhtm.js to the SSL folder, but that
didn't make a difference. What is missing? How do I fix this?

I've tried to follow your instructions to the letter, but I'm
not having any luck.
1) I copied the showhide.js to
a) RoboHelp 6.0 > Project Folder
b) RoboHelp 6.0 > Project Folder > SSL
c) RoboHelp 6.0 > Project Folder > SSL >
MicroSoft_HTML_Help
2) I pasted btnhideall.gif, btnshowall.gif, printerblue.gif
into
a) RoboHelp 6.0 > Project Folder > SSL
b) they are also listed in RoboHelp 6.0 > Project Folder
3)The Project Manager > Baggage File originally displayed
a
a) Project (Name) folder
b) ehelp.xml
c) RoboHHre.Ing
I opened the Baggage File > Project (Name) folder,
selected New Baggage File, and added, respectively:
i. btnhideall.gif
ii. btnshowall.gif
iii. ehlpDhtm.js
iv. printerblue.gif
v. printerred.gif
vi. showhide.js
vii. TCA.fpj
vii. root.fpj
4) I also opened rhbag.apj in Notepad. It shows
a) ehelp.xml and RoboHHRE.Ing accompanied by
<usercreated>false</usercreated> tags
b) the remaining baggage files are accomanied by
<usercreated>true</usercreated> tags
5) Finally, I used Notepad to display two topic files in
which the error message identified a Line: XX. In one case the line
# is 42, in another, 19. In both cases, when I counted lines,
starting with <body>, I ended up on:
onClick="JavaScript:hideEm()"
However, I am none the wiser for my effort and don't know
what (5) might be telling me.
6) The only thing I can think of is that the compiled chm
file is two levels away from the Project Name directory that holds
all the files. The files live in Robohelp 6.0 > Project Name
while the compiled help is found in Robohelp 6.0 > Project Name
> SSL! > MicroSoft_HTML_Help > Project Name.chm.
Should I be adjusting the Relative Path within the topics?

I am creating an xml form and want to use the 'ValidTo' property for document lifetime. I have created the browser and can get the date picker, however the 'ValidTo' requires date and time.
How on the xml for can you user a dateTime Picker or is there another way to do this?

If the time is not required, you can specify a default time. See http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/b4/fd2c407586ea01e10000000a155106/frameset.htm for more details.
Unfortunatelly, a comfortable time picker is not available which means that a user needs to enter the time manually if not the default time should be taken.

I generated layers hide event using listner.
But I need to hide all layers at once. Is it possible without looping ?

Try transaction VA05. In that choose "Open Orders" along with other selection criteria.
If you want the Open sales order qty in output and its not displayed, do the following.
Sales -> System modification -> create new fields ( without condition technique) -> New fields for lists.
You can change V05TZZMO and structure VBMTVZ from there or use SE38 / SE11.
For both you'll need an object registration in OSS.

Click on the 'Keyboard' tab and hit the 'modifier keys...' button. You can see and change the defaults there.

           i wanted to hide all the field which are given on PNP selection screen, with the help of the
report category i have hided all the field including the Person selection period as i require only the
Data selection period. further through coding as below iam able to remove all the radio buttons

How to correctly use Hide All/Show All in RH HTML review?

When using the Hide All or Show All filter options seen in RH HTML's Review Pane it states that all "comments and changes are hidden or seen in Review Pane as well as in Design Editor." I cannot see any change when I look at the inserted or deleted items in the Design View. Am I missing something? I am trying to find a way to show all changes as "final' like Word 2010 does by using "Final" before we accept/reject these changes. It appears that "View Selected Item" of the active topic may work the same way as I am hoping and shows all changes as if they were already accepted. Am I correct?
I haven't heard from anyone in the forum so I wonder if I wasn't clear enough? I am just trying to find out how you can view track changes seen inside a project's topics as if they were accepted, without having actually accepted them yet. I see that when I select the "View Selected Item" button I see everything, whether it inserted or deleted. Is that the only way to get a feel of what the final topic would 'look' like?

Hide all tabs in Personal Number Search Help

Hi Experts,
In Assest Master AS01, there is a personal number field. When user click on search icon from this field, system has to show only newly added elementary search help tab and hide all standard elementary search helps tabs tagged to Collective Search help PREM.
Collective search help tagged to Personal number is PREM. I am able to hide all elementary search helps by adding some code in search help exit "HRMC_PREM_EXIT_A " and can see newly added search help. But with addition to this tab there is one more search help tab is apperaing. Name of the appered search help is "Free Search". I checked PREM but there is no any elementary search help with this name.
The reason behind adding new search tab is user should not see sensitive data and personal details.
Can anybody tell me how to hide this tab? Your suggation(any enhancement point) is highly needed for me.

I have to do all these setting through MDT and want to include that in base image (Core Image). If you know any thing how to do any of the above settings in

What I did was to provide the Notifier stage with an owner. (This is only a solution if your application has a single stage.)
1. In method initGraphics() remove the line: stage.show();
2. Create the following method in Notifier:

3. In method showPopup( Notification ) add the following line before: POPUP.show( stage );

4. When you setup your application's stage call:

How to hide all users in a particular OU in the Global Address List.

We are running DirSync and ADFS in our O365 environment. We want to hide all students in our GAL. We know this can be done one user object at a time in ADSIeditor, but does anyone have a method or PSSscript to hide all user objects that are contained in
a particular OU? Trying to avoid a tedious manual process.

where the option to hide all my profile information to contacts only? i just had someone look up my facebook page somehow and then link a picture of me from there. i'm actually pretty pissed off about this as it can't even get rid of my facebook link in the profile. is there an option that hides everything?

Your profile information cannot be completely hidden as it is used in the Skype directory so that people can actually find you. Similar to a phone directory. Some options are statically public. If you do not want that information to be public it would be best to keep it blank. My profile on all my accounts remain as blank as can be. If people need to find me in the directory I provide them with my Skype name or e-mail address. To view your profile information and edit it just press "Ctrl - I" while in Skype. It is less restrictive than editing your profile on the website.
