Document preset migration

Hi everyone,
I just installed Photoshop CC 2014 and have discovered the "migrate preset" feature. Apparently, however, that doesn't cover the two most important presets i used in Photoshop CC: document presets and save for web presets. Does anyone have a suggestion for how to migrate these? Seems strange that adobe wouldn't include these in migration. Are the preset files located somewhere?
Example photos below.
Thanks,
Quin

Hey JJ,
Thanks for your help. I was able to move the document presets relatively easy. I actually only have one Save for Web preset, so it's not a big deal to recreate it in CC 2014, but I thought I would follow what you said and see if i could find my preset in one of those folders (using the OS X version of the software). Here's some screenshots of my preset, along with those folders you mentioned. I still couldn't find it.
There's also the "edit output settings" menu that can be pulled up right next to the preset selection in the save for web dialog box, but that seems more about encoding the images with html or something.
Any thoughts?

  • InDesign CS5: How do I delete or remove an unwanted document preset?

I've been porting over my workflow from CS4 to CS5, and yesterday I was adding a custom document preset. When saving it, my fingers tripped while typing its name and accidentally hit the Return key (instead of Delete, after making another mistake!), so I've now got a preset with an incomplete name clogging up the list. Is there any way to get rid of this? (Naturally I saved the preset again with the correct name -- that's not the problem.) I can't see anything about this in the documentation or on the forum.

File > Document Presets > Define...
Select whatever you want to remove and hit the delete button.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems. A few APIs
did change from B3 to final, but you should be getting compile
errors for those. I can assure you that all of the areas you
mentioned were tested and are working for many folks so if you can
supply examples of what isnt working we can try to get you back up
    and running.

  • Import Saved Document Presets from older PS to PS CC 2014

Is there a way to import saved document presets from older versions of Photoshop into Photoshop CC 2014? I have a fair amount of document presets I use almost daily and it'd be a pain to have to enter all of them again to save them.

If you create an action set with just the one action and save the set upload the uploade it to the web and post a link to the .atn file we can download the action and test that on our machines.  You will get feedback from both Mac and PC users. It sound odd that it would work once then fail the second  time. Was Photoshop CC 2014 up before you used bridge menu tools>photoshop>batch the first time or was Photoshop started because you used tools>photoshop>batch.  If is was not up did you try closing PS down before the second batch?

  • Copy New Document Presets from CS4 to CS5.5

I had a number of document presets saved in InDesign CS4 and just realized that I don't know how to copy them from CS4 to CS5.5 so I don't have to recreate them again (which is what I've done in previous upgrades). I haven't found anythng that helps with the name or location of the presets. Can someone please point me in the right direction?
    Thanks!

I am constantly losing my CS4 Indesign page presets. I did the define and stored the files. Today, I lost them again, so went to load my saved files, but only one preset saved. Not sure if it was the first preset saved or the last. Do you have to save for every document preset you make? I would think this would all be on one file. I am going to try again, just incase I forgot to save it correctly.

  • How to delete a document preset

I created many document presets whilst opening a new document, but I can't figure out how to delete them, nor can I find the folder in the preset folder.
I know it's something simple but just can't get it done.
    I'm on a windows 7 64 bit if it makes a diff.
    Thanks in advance.

There are two different set of presets. Since you mentioned the presets that you made yourself when opening new documents, please follow the instructions below:
    Go to File > New
This opens the new document dialog box. Click on the Preset tab, as shown below.
Within the new document presets, I select a preset I had made earlier, but now I do not need.
Now with that custom preset selected, I can now press "Delete Preset", as shown below.
Selecting "Yes" allows for the deletion.
Now, there are also Presets that Photoshop itself has, and you can also delete those.
Go to Edit > Presets > Preset Manager
This opens up the preset manager and you can select the preset type to find the preset you want to delete.
By pressing "Delete" you can delete presets.
I hope this helped to answer your question. Please post back with any further questions.

  • IDCS3 - load document presets

Just installed IDCS3 and want to load my IDCS2 document presets. It better be possible because I have dozens of document presets from IDCS2. Does anyone know how this can be done?
    Thanks. JETNZ

HI, they will be saved, otherwise they wouldn't be showing in my preset list in IDCS2. But when I try to load them in IDCS3, it asks me to locate them and there is little documentation about what that preset file name is and where it might be located. I've hunted about but not located it yet. Thanks for your help.

  • Lost InDesign Document Presets

    Hi,
I am using InDesign CS4 and all of a sudden my Document Presets have disappeared - I don't recall anything strange happening, I just booted it up this morning and they have gone.
Has this happened to anyone before? is there a way of getting them back? had around 20+ Presets so a bit of a bummer them disappearing.
    Thanks

Unless you backed them up, they're probably gone. Document presets are stored inside the InDesign Defaults file as part of your preferences, but you can save them to an external file from File > Document Presets > Define... so that they can be reloaded if you need to do things like reset the prefs. There was a long time during which time zone changes for daylight savings time would also wipe the prefs, (and as far as I know it still kills the InDesign SavedData file), but I don't recall if CS4 is affected this way. I think not.

  • Location of "New Document" Presets

Hi — can anyone tell me where the "New Document" presets are located on Mac OS X?
    They all disappeared last night…
I've been running a system to sync my office ID prefs with my home ID prefs and I have a feeling that has something to do with it…
    d

Yes, if you were making them but not saving them as .dcst files in any specific folder, then when you reset or replaced preferences you did lose them.

  • Document preset sync, creative cloud?

Hey, I'm curious if it's possible for document presets to be synced across an application in the Adobe CC suite? For instance, i have two computers running photoshop and i've created a custom document size for Photoshop on one of them, and it would be nice if that could be available on the other via sync.
    Thanks,
    Quin

Quin, Thanks for your suggestions. As of now, you cannot sync document size using Sync Settings.
For more details, you can check http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/sync-settings.html

    After BO acquisition :
