Document replication... is it possible?

Dear KM friends,
Is it possible to make Document replication??
Eg. When ever new file uploaded, deleted or modified in a folder A should reflect on folder B.
plz any body reply me.
thanx in advance
Lakshmikantha

Hi Lakshmikantha,
for this you could implement a Repository Service, eacting on file creation, deletion and modification.
Search for "Repository Service" within SDN for further details.
Alternatively, if you just want "another place / folder / repository" to reflect the thing happening in folder F of repository R, maybe it would be enough just to create a link to that place?!
Hope it helps

  • Adding attachment to SharePoint Document Library- Is it possible?

I would like to know if it possible to attach a file to a document library items like one would to a List item.
I have read some postings on this very issue but most are a couple years old.  Would like to know if updated technology has possibly solved
this issue.  I am using SharePoint 2013 Enterprise edition.
    I am new to SharePoint
    Thank you

No its not.  The real difference between a list item and a library item is that a library item is required to have one and only one file attachment and that attachment is the focus of the library.  Lists can have multiple file attachments on each
list item and the focus is the metadata not the attachment.
Depending on what you are trying to do take a look at Document Sets.  Its a collection of documents that can share metadata.

  • Document history - is it possible to erase certain files?

is it possible to remove items listed under 'documents' in the finder window by date modified?
i'm freelancing in an agency, and as such sign in as a different user while they are on leave. i won't to remove the history of the documents i've been looking at, mainly invoices, financial information about my rates - just in case any of these files still remain on the machine when i move on.
    thanks

are you talking about "All Documents" smart search in the sidebar? That one can't be cleared. it's a saved finder search with preset parameters. Its rersults are not saved anywhere so there is nothing to clear. Rather the search is executed every time you click on it. so unless you actually change the modified dates of documents in question they will be present in the output.

  • 3 step process in posting parked documents. Is this possible?

    Good day to everyone,
Our client requires a 3 step process when posting documents. The step should be as follows:
    1. Creating a Parked Document. (can be a balanced or one-legged document)
    2. Completing a Parked Document.
    3. Posting a complete document.
Currently in our setting, the users can bypass step # 2 and immediately proceed to step # 3 which is to post a parked document. There would be no problem for a one-legged or unbalanced document since posting would not be possible for documents which are not balanced. But for a complete and balanced document, the user can right away post it using FBV0.
Is there a way we can implement a 3 step process wherein we will assign a new document status (Complete) before it gets posted in FBV0? Thanks and any help or comment would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. The suggestion you posted is brilliant, however, it would make things a bit more complicated for our client. I am looking towards a simpler solution, probably a validation of some sort.
I was thinking of utilizing the Parked-Complete-Posted document status in F-65. If somebody knows how I can restrict direct posting of "Parked" document status without going thru the "Complete" status via FBV0, then I would greatly appreciate the help.

  • • Print several document .AI at once, possible?

    Hello -
I would like to do some "contact sheet" of several .AI documents
    Is it possible?
If not, is it possible to print several .AI documents at once (almost with one mouse clic)?
    Thank you,
    - Dimitri

easiest way to do this if you have CS 3 or later is the Bridge Upper right of the Bridge Select output and select PDF in the content window of the bridge control click on the files you want to include in your composite then in the output panel choose the number of columns and rows that determines how many will be on one page. So say you have 24 items and you want 6 on a page select all 24 put in 2 rows 3 columns or vice verse nd the bridge will generate a 3 page pdf document with 6 documents on one of each of the pages.
Open in Acrobat and print all of them at one time or open one page at a time in AI if you have AI CS4 there is a script that will open all the pages as artboards and you can print them from AI.
    Very cool integration.

  • [CS3][JS] Uniquely identifying documents with common names - possible?

    Hi!
Is there no way to refer directly to a document in app.documents when there are several documents with the same name open at the same time (located in different folders)?
I have tried to assign unique labels to the documents when opening them, but have not succeeded in referring to documents by their labels, only by name - and the name not being unique, I get just one document reference (the first).
I also tried using the documents.itemByRange function, supposedly returning an array of all documents in the range defined by the parameters sent to the function. However, sending in the same name in the "from" and "to" parameters, returned only one document:
    app.documents.itemByRange('test.indd', 'test.indd').getElements().length
    Result: 1
//(I would have expected to get both of them)
// Referring directly by the name:
    app.documents.item('test.indd').getElements().length
    Result: 1
// Checking the name of the documents by their indexes:
    app.documents.item(0).name
    Result: test.indd
    app.documents.item(1).name
    Result: test.indd
Do you really have to loop through all open documents and check their fullName to be able to uniquely identify a document if the names are not unique?
    Kind regards,
    Andreas Jansson

    Hi Dave,
Make that three or four... ;)
Kris at Rorohiko created a method to get unique references to two
different documents with the same name. It's usable if you have the free
APID ToolAssistant version 1.0.44 or higher. (it doesn't need to be
    licensed...)
Here's an excerpt from the reference manual:
The get doc GUID function is used as follows:
    guid =
    app.callExtension(0x90B6C,10008,document);
This function returns a GUID (Globally Unique Identifier) for a
document. This is a string of the form
    {nnnnnnnn-nnnn-nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn}
where all 'n' stand for a hexadecimal digit.
These GUID allow you to work with same-name documents that
are concurrently open without getting tangled in the confusion
that occurs when using resolve calls.
As long as a document is not moved from its original location on
disk, it will keep the same GUID. Two documents with the same
name but different paths will have different GUID.
Opening, closing, (re)saving to the same location will NOT
    change the GUID.
Moving a document to another location will change the GUID.
The find open doc by GUID function is used as follows:
    doc = app.callExtension(0x90B6C,10009,guid);
This function retrieves a reference to an already open document
    based on its GUID string.
These GUID strings are unique and persistent and allow
persistent references to same-name documents without resolvelike
issues (but the documents are meant to be 'unmovable' i.e.
they cannot be renamed or moved to another folder). Once the
document is open, it can be retrieved via its GUID.

  • Document Centre - is it possible to set treeview to automatically collapse?

    Hi there,
My question is fairly simple.  I have created a Document Centre and enabled the Treeview option.  By default, it appears that all the folders are expanded.  How can I change that so they are collapsed by default?

SPTreeView does not save and load expand/collapse status across pages. Could you please try this workaround to alwayse expand to current page?

I lost a tracking # for a package.  The # appears on a previously printed document.
Can I retrieve that document from a log?  If so how?

Hi @jgutensohn , welcome to the HP Forums.
I see you're looking to print out a previously printed document.  The only way that it would be accessible would be if you still have the document saved on your computer.  The printer itself doesn't hold a memory of previously printed documents.

  • Document replication in e-sourcing to SRM integration

    Hello,
The company I work for has purchased SRM 7.0(classic deployment), e-Sourcing 5.1(hosted), and ECC 6.0. My company will be hiring consultants to assist in the custom integration. I am trying to find technical documentation that describes the workflow following the rewarding of a supplier to the generation of the PO in SRM or ECC. I cannot seem to find this information on marketplace, notes, or sdn. In general, is it better to replicate the PO in SRM or in ECC?
    Thank you in advance,
    Brian

The integration delivered as a standard consulting service is E-Sourcing/ CLM to ECC.  You can view the scenarios available in the integration documents.  As I understand direct to SRM integration has been done but it is still custom work.
The urls below will take you to the guides for E-Sourcing 5.1 & CLM 2.0 including the integration guides.

  • Document iSync, is it possible?

I know how to iSync calendar, web bookmarks, etc. But if I have a Word document in iDisk, and a same file in a computer, and change content of the computer document, can I have the iDisk document automatically updated? How?

iSync only syncs Contacts and Calendars between a Mac and a supported third-party Mobile Phone or PDA - it does not sync with iDisk or sync documents between computers.
You're referring to features of MobileMe, not iSync.

  • Middleware setting for sales order documents replication crm to ECC

    Hi,
Please help me on the following query:
what kind of middleware settings should done to get transaction documents(sales order(TA) and contracts) tranferred from SAP CRM to SAP ECC. Please provide tcode and navigate for settings.
    Thansk and Regards,
    Venkat

    Hi,
In the below Link you can find building blocks
    http://help.sap.com/bp_crmv12007/CRM_DE/BBLibrary/HTML/BBLibrary.htm
First of all you need to do settings in middleware (For all the settings, you refer to the Building Block guide C71)
Then you need to do a series of settings as follows:
Ensure that both the system are synchronized interms of Transaction types, Item categories, Item cat determinations and proper number ranges.
Go to SMOEAC and subscribe publication BUS_TRANS_MSG to R/3 Site
If you want to activate inter-dependent changes, make an entry in R3AC6 Tcode, with key R3A_SALES, param 1 as INT_CHANGE_ORDER, param 2 as Transaction type and scenario as A.
Similary in ECC system, make an entry in CRMPAROLTP table with key CRM_Scenario, INT_CHANGE_ORDER, Transaction Type and A.
I understand that this doesnot explain you in a detailed way. For more info search on help.sap.com

  • Is it possible to search multiple documents for text?

I have several hundred fake newspaper cuttings that I have generated in Photoshop CS4, in which there are multiple layers of text. I want to search for certain words within all those cuttings, similar to the way I can search for words in InDesign or PDF across multiple documents.
Is that possible, either from within PS or by using third-party software?

I’ve given it some thought and I think Scripting would be the best way after all.
I’ve asked about accessing the texts in a psd without actually opening it in Photoshop in the Scripting Forum, but I’ve been told it might be speedier to actually open the files in psd, so some BrigeTalk might be necessary.
Anyway I wonder if one should upon running the Script create text-files with all the psd-files’ collected texts so that subsequent searches wouldn’t necessitate repeated opening – of course that means risking searching obsolete lists (unless one institutes checks for relative change-dates or some such).
A way that aims much shorter would be to transfer all the textItem.contents to the File Info’s Description with a comparatively simple Script and search the Contents in the Finder.
