Document's JE is open to reconcile

Question

Hi Experts,
In B1 2007A SP01 PL08, I can reconcile the G/L account's amount of the marketing document's journal entry.
I said so because I have tried to enter the account code in the G/L internal reconciliation then I search the journal entry, and I find it.
E.g the document is a/r invoice and the credit memo is made based on the a/r invoice. Both documents' journal entries are available to reconcile in the G/L internal reconciliation.
The questions are:
1. is this current system definition of B1 2007A ?
2. will it give impact if I reconcile the g/l account to the other g/l account in a certain journal entry document ? E.g. in the marketing document's journal entry,  the g/l account amount is in the debit side, then I create manual JE using the account code with the amount in the credit side.
Pls give advice.

I have created a credit memo in 01/01/2010 for the 12/30/2009 posted invoice. The JE no. of CM is 431
The journal entry no. of the invoice is 129. The JE of the invoice contains account codes as follows:
1. tax code
2. turnover account code
3. ar account code (BP)
4. cost of sales (COS) account code
One of the account, e.g. COS account code is to use in the G/L internal reconciliation. I want to use it because there is a manual JE need to reconcile with incoming payment. The JE no. is 31. When I search the trans no. to find the JE manual, I see the JE no. 129 there. I see also the JE 431. I really surprise and check the marketing documents. Their status are still closed.
If the marketing documents status still closed, why the documents' account codes available to reconcile in the g/l account internal reconciliation ?
