Document Sequencing in Directory Browse Help

I need to resequence the order of the documents (cards) view when in browse mode in the Documents Directory. I need to reorder them by the card name instead of ordering by the cards ObjectID, in which is by default its sequencing them now. What do I need to do in BrowseDocViewHelper.CS or the DirBrowseDP.CS objects?? Am I looking at the right direction here? Please point me to the right class objects to modify to get these results... Much obliged in advance for help...

Hmmm... That is strange then, this could be a bug. This is the first thing we did. Went in the Folder Editor, there is a section there for "Sorting", an option of "Order this way when browsing" we had set to the "Name" property. We did the same thing for the "Order this way when Editing" option. And yet as soon as I set the Browse Mode again, it orders the documents in reverse, like if it orders by ObjectID. I will report this to Tech Support.

I am in very strange situation and not able to find out the solution for below problem.
when i am trying to create clause number from Contracts Terms --> Contract Terms Library : Clauses , i found below error.
" Document sequence was not found for generating clause number. Check the document sequence setup."
where i have setup the document sequence setup? Please help me how to resolve this issue.

Hi,
I have the same error when trying to create clause number from Contracts Terms --> Contract Terms Library : " Document sequence was not found for generating clause number. Check the document sequence setup."

Adobe Reader DC, doesn't disable "Display PDF Document in the web browser" when option is unchecked.

The option under Accessibility>Setup Assistanct to uncheck the "Display PDF Document in the web browser" doesn't correctly disable Display PDF in browser when unchecked, it still defaults to opening in Internet Explorer even after restarting the browser. Confirmed this tested agianst with IE 8, 9, 10 and 11 with the same behavior. Moving back to Reader 11.0.10 and using this same setting works flawlessly. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

How to create a sequence in Object Browser!!

Hi All,
I just wonder that while working on "Sequence" in Obejct Browser.
Say for example i have a created a new sequence using object browser then i have redirected to Data tab->Query under this we can select the
default values. I have tried to give the like '%s' under column conditon which is thrrowing error like query is not valid .
Can anybody help me out how to implemnt the column condtion in Sequnece.

Go to Data tab. Select insert row
In the value field, I enter some data (not in Id as it's populated from the sequence). Click create. This returns me to view of existing data (in my case, only the new row I inserted)
As far as your query being invalid, without knowing what is in your table, and what you inserting in your query, and what the exact error, its a bit difficult to know.

Display PDF document from Servlets to browser - how 2 change the title

Hi, need help of changing the html title when Display PDF document from Servlets to browser. By default the browser's title shows the obsolute URL where the rdf comes from (i.e. http://www.google.com/sample.pdf), because servlet responds a binary data (PDF), there seems to be no other way to change the browser's title to fit my own choice.

Problem with the browse sequence back and browse sequence next widget placed in the screen layout

Hi,
Some basics: We are using Robohelp 10 to generate multiscreen html5 output. We used the pharmaceutical screen layout downloaded from: http://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/robohelp-screen-profiles-layouts.html but modified it to match our GUI.
We are having a problem with the browse sequence back and browse sequence next buttons placed in the screen layout from the widgets tool bar. We are in no way experts at this part of Robohelp...and the css portion of all this is a bit of mystery but we have managed to get mostly what we need. Now we just need these buttons to work. In the past we used Airhelp and things worked great. Can anyone help us understand why the sequence buttons are not showing up in the output even though it does in the topic preview?

Yes, the steps are the same.On the first step, when defining the sequence, make sure you define it as Gapless.

Document Sequencing

Hi All
I want to attach automatic document sequence on monthly basis in the following format in GL(Vouchers) as well as Payables (invoices)
"Sequence Number-MMM-YYYY" e.g. 11-jan-2001 ,
12-jan-2001,......
(Sequence number 11 for month of Jan and year of 2001)
I want the sequence to restart from 1 every month. The combination of number, month and year would uniqely identify each document.
Do I have to take help of descriptive flexfield for this. Because all I can see in Sequence window is automatic or manual numbering and no additional fields
to capture information such as month in the sequence.
Do I have to use descriptive flexfield for this thing. In case I have to define
descriptive flexfield, where do I attach that? Can anybody pls.explain.
I would really appreciate an urgent reply.

when you choose automatic seq num, you will get date as your num, why you want day in the first place. or ask you tech consultant to change the date format as dd/mm/yy and choose auto seq num.

Error saying "There was an error opening this document, the filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is correct"

At my work we uses Macs to prepare PDF’s and the create folders to archive and print them. Other areas of work use PC’s to review these PDF. When they go to review these folders there is a small black dot which appears under random characters in the folder name and when they try and open the file an error message saying “There was an error opening this document, the filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is correct”. On the PC they can delete the name and rename the folder and the error disappears. If anyone can shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated. If I was to have a guess I think its most likely an error with character recognition between the MAC and PC. Any help would be great , thank you

Cant't open a PDF document from a web browser

When I am trying to open a PDF documents from a web browser a message pop out:
Windows is checking for a solution to the problem
And then :
Internet explorer has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available

How can I submit assignments online using my ipad, I have an app where I can store as well as create Microsoft office documents but when I browse to submit an assignment it only gives me the option to look in my camera roll.

I have an ipad 2 I am a new apple user except for my iPod. I purchased the ipad for school but I am a little confused. I have downloaded an app that allows me to create and store Microsoft office documents. I am enrolled in an online college and when I submit documents it makes me browse for them, the only problem with this is that when I try to submit a document from my ipad on my ipad it only brings up the option in the browse as the camera roll.

Your best bet is to contact the app developer or give another browser a try. Safari can be limited in what it'll allow you to do while other browsers have more functionality. I'd check with the tech support for your online school and then with the app developer. They can give you more specific help than we can with what limited info you've given us.

Under Tomcat v4.0.3, in the <Tomcat_Home>/conf/web.xml file is a set of default servlets with parameters. One of these is :
<init-param>
<param-name>listings</param-name>
<param-value>true</param-value>
</init-param>
changing it to false does prevent directory browsing on my system. It's not a pretty access denied screen, but it does stop browsers seeing your contents, also any sub-directories. Hope that helps.
