Document setup bleed lines absent

I'm setting up the bleed on a set of InDesign CS5.5 documents. When I go to File: Document Setup: More Options, and set the bleed to .125 in, I don't see the little red bleed guide line outside my document outline. I've gone to InDesign: Preferences: Guides and Pasteboard, where I found there is an entry for the bleed guide. I can make guides just fine, I just can't get the bleed guide to show up on my pasteboard anymore.

The show/hide guides commands have moved around a bit from versiontoe version, I think, but they shoud still be someplace in the View Menu whatever version you might have. They will not be visible, however, in Preview mode (the pasteboard will also disappear).

Setting Bleed Lines and Crop Marks

I'm trying to lay out a 4x6 postcard on a 4.5x6.5 document. I want my crop marks and bleed lines at 4x6 to tell the printer where to trim off the extra. I'm setting my bleeds up for .25 on each side to give me lines that make a 4x6 finished product but it's not working. The crop marks aren't even close to where I want them. I've set up guides at 4x6 to compare where they are landing and it's way off. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Please Help!

Make your document size 4 X 6 and use the bleed setting to set up the extra bleed (Document Setup > More Options).

Setting up a document to bleed to the edges after designing it?

I already have a document created in CS6, now I want to make the background color bleed to the edges of the document.
1. Can someone please get me started with what I need to do?

Set up bleed in document setup. Then edit the artwork so that it covers the bleed.
Depending on what it actually is, it might be simpler to create the bleed from the beginning.

What is a good ID5 Document Setup for an epub ebook for the iPhone?

I'd welcome some help using ID5 to create an ebook that is optimized for displaying on the iPhone.
In particular, I'm looking for appropriate dimensions of the base page, in pixels, to enter in the Document Setup dialog box.
From what I've read, 320 x 480 pixels should work well for both the iPhone 4 as well as previous versions.
Is that accurate?
The Setup page also includes boxes for Bleed and Slug. Should any values be entered there, or should they remain zero?

This is a great question because it seems like there should be… but the truth is that there isn’t. The reason there isn’t is important: You don’t lay out an EPUB “ebook.”
Since you got off with a bad start, you might want to invest in your background material; either new book in New InDesign-to-eBook Resources should be good for starters.

Change document setup by adding 1/2 inch on the left

Hi,
I am working on a 8 1/2 X 11 document (36 pages) and I would like to add 1/2 inch but only on the left side. Of course, I could just change my document set up for 9 X 11 but then, I have to reposition my elements to the right wich I would like to avoid.
Is there a way to do that?

Yo don't say if this is a facing pages document, but I'd guess not if you only want to add to one side. You should change the document setup, but it would be possible to do this by adjusting the bleed settings at output, which I really don't recommend as it's likely to be forgotten at some point.
If your text frames are snapped to the margin gides this should be relatively painless. Before making any adjustments go to Layout > Layout Adjudtment... and turn it on. With Layout Adjustment active frames that are snapped to guides should resize or reposition to match the new guide positions. You can now change the page size, then go the the master page to adjust the margins to where you want them to restore the text block to the original size.

InDesign Margins & Bleed Lines Disappeared

Hi,
I am using InDesign CC and I had all my margin lines and bleed lines visible when I was inserting images and text onto the pages. I think I accidentally pressed a wrong shortcut that had all the lines disappear and the pasteboard color changed to a lighter gray. It seems like it is some type of presentation mode when I was clicking shift + w. I closed the document and opened it back up again but the same thing is still there. I am not sure how to have all the margin lines and bleed lines reappear. I need help to fix it asap!

How do I center the header in document setup?

I write books and want the title of my book to appear automatically on each page and centered. When I go to Document Setup I don't find an option for centering. I shouldn't have to force with spaces my book title to the center. Where are the setup features with font style, size, center, left, right, etc?

Ok. I figured it out. The problem had to do with the fact that I started the book using an older version of Pages on my Mac Pro and sent it to myself then added it to my iPad. Once there I update, edit, add-to the story then iDisk the update so I have the most current version.
To solve the problem I went into the iPad and called up the story in Pages, copied it into memory then created a new blank document. There I went to the Page Settings and the header/footer were quite visible, including the three cells. In the header I added the title of the book. In the footer I added the Page 1 of X, hit Done and returned to the blank page. I then pasted in the entire book.
Now all are fine. The title header is centered and I have very nice page numbers.

How to get document's Bleed Box

Hi all,
I want to get the current bleed settings of a document, but can't find any class in the SDK making this available.
There is INewDocCmdData which allows to set the bleed box for a new document, so if there is a way to get an INewDocCmdData for an existing document, that would work. But I don't know how to achieve that either.
Another option seems to be via the script interface. There are Javascript classes and methods defined to get a document's bleed box. But can I somehow run a short script snippet from within C++ and extract the result?
Any pointers would be really great.

How to identify Parked and Posted Documents in GL Line Item Report

Is there any way to identify parked and posted documents in GL Line Item Report S_ALR_87012282? If i tick the parked documents in the further selection tab in the selection parameter, report will list all documents (parked and posted).
There is no available field in the layout. Is there any other way?

use tcode: FBV3 - Display
OR
you can go to SE16 and enter table name VBKPF -Document Header for Document Parking
BSTAT = V
V = parked document
and ececute u will get the details of parked document.

If your query was to group items for payment ,in FBZP co code data for payment method there are 2 options 1.group payment for marked items 2.payment per due date.
Also in the Vendor master there is a flag which will ensure that each item is paid individually,if this is what you were looking for ( FK02 change vendor).
In case you want to group items to be paid together Payment Grouping Key can be assigned in Vendor Master .

Script for Document Setup size...

Hello All,
     I have a request for a script, not sure how one would go about it but here we go.
An AI CS4 user selects a shape, they then execute a script that...
Resizes the Document Setup Art Board to one inch larger (length width) than the selected shape.
Then a rectangle is drawn in the document and is sized the same as the art board.
Any help would be great!!!

     I am tweaking this script again and have run into a road block that you may have a simple answer for. When I execute this script when selecting a single object it works perfect, if I execute it while selecting a group of objects the script will not apply the spot color to the selection.
