Document Title Variable Text for Footer

I am fairly new to InDesign and did as much searching as possible before posting this. I took a three-day class for InDesign, but we never got into variables.
This is for a technical document template I am creating. What I am trying to do is create a text variable that pulls the "Document Title" from the File Info. This variable would put the document title in the footer of every body page in my document.

I took it to mean the data in the indicated field inthe XMP data below:
You get here by choosing File Info from the File menu in ID, or you can acess it through Bridge, I presume. By default this field seems to be blank, and you get to enter anything you like into it, so it might or might not be the same as the filename (I asked earlier if it was because I hadn't done any investigation and wondered if you had).

Changing Document Title in Pages for iPad and VoiceOver

Is there a trick to changing the name of the document in Pages for iPad when voiceover is enabled. I can change the document name when voiceover is turned off but there doesn't seem to be away of getting to the label when voiceover is turned on.

What makes this difficult is that I can export the documents in PDF format, but then I cannot view them in Pages on the iPad as they cannot be uploaded into iCloud and Pages cannot access documents in other cloud storage sites. Pages uses the Word templates best.
I've considered Quickoffice, but don't want to spend the $$ on an app that may not work.
I've even thought about Team Viewer and accessing the documents on my Mac at home, but why remote access another computer just to view native files?

Question on Document Title in SOST

Hi,
Can some one let me know how Document Ttile comes into SOST.
My scenario is;
I am sending delivery note via email. my intention is to get document title as LD00 and Delivery Number (LD00 &LIKP-VBELN&
below settings i tried but no use:
Output type i am using is LD00.
Configured Replacement of text symbols program as SAPMV50A & Form routine as TEXT_SYMBOL_REPLACE (even i tried with MAIL_TEXTS). Also In Mail title & Texts - i set my document title as LD00 &LIKP-VBELN&
Hard coded text and passed to NAST-TDCOVTITLE in driver program but no use.
After completing the process, i checked in SOST and i see different title (Program name, date, time).
I put a break point in TEXT_SYMBOL_REPLACE routine and my cursor is not stopping in the routine. i tried in update debuggging also but not stopped in the routine.
Pls let me know how can we stop in the routine or is there any other way to get custom document title.

Leading text for select-option in Query

Hi,
In sq02 in the DATA codebox, I have added a "select-option for field". However, the title/leading text for the field in the selection screen is useless. How can I program my own text for this selection ?
PS I have tried selection-screen begin of block
select-option ....
selection-screen end of block.
initialization.
fname = 'individual text.
It does not work and it is running on 4.6C FYI.
Any help is appreciated.

goto the properties and u can give ur own name as such in text elements...
in SQ02, menu goto>text elements>selection texts.

Set SOST Document Title

Hello Experts!
For my email function, I am using class CL_BCS to send any emails and attachments from my program. Mr problem is that although the email is being sent, when you look at transaction SOST the Document Title is blank. So, is there a method or another class that sets the Document Title? Points for any helpful answer.

Discoverer Plus - How to include variable text in the Title

Hi,
I need to include a variable text in the report like the user information or another information i woul like to obtain from a query that is not the standars date,time,... oracle discoverer plus improves us.
I tried with calculations associates to a parameters, but is not possible.

This can be done by creating a parameter, then a calculation, then a condition. Then under "Edit Header" or Page Setup, choose "Header" or "Footer"as needed and choose to insert the Parameter.
Step by step Example instruction:
1-Create a parameter as follows:
--Item = NONE
--Name = "Workbook run by" (This will appear in the heading or title when workbook run)
--Prompt = "Please enter UserID in all capital letters"
--Description and Default value left blank
2-Create a Calculation
--In New Calculation choose "Function" then choose the function "USER" from Database. (This is all that the calculation will need.)
--Name Calculation = i.e.: "DB_USERID"
3-Create a condition as follows:
--Name = Request_UserID
--Item = DB_USERID
Condition = IN
Value = Choose parameter: Workbook run by
-Double click on worksheet title, choose Insert, then choose Parameter (This can be done the same way under Page Setup for Header and Footer
-The calculation will create an extra column which I put at the top as a Page Item
-This will force the user to enter the UserID they are logged in to Discoverer with.
-This is case sensative. Therefore, since all Databe IDs are stored on the Database in all-caps, then the user will have to enter in all caps as well.

V/30: Include NAME1 in Document Title for Order Confirmation per Email

We have configured a sales order output condition for forwarding order confirmation per email. Within the document title (Mail Title & Texts) there is reference to e.g. &VBAK-VBELN& etc. Is it possible to add NAME1 within the title?

Approval by: &MANAGER& => &DOCUMENTTITLE&
But this does not work, the note is getting displayed as:
Approval by: &MANAGER&, ideally should be "Approval by: Micheal John". Please let me know about this.

Easiest way with Acrobat pro, is save the Word document, then convert the document to PDF with Acrobat, rather than doing a "save as" in Word itself to PDF.
Do you have Acrobat full version or Pro?

Upload item text for FI document using BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST

Hi,
I need to upload FI document posting using BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST. However item text that I received is too long and need to store at item long text. So can we use BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST to upload long text for item text? If this possible, may I know how to do this.

Hi,
You cannot pass item long text using this BAPI, Call the function module SAVE_TEXT after successfull call of BAPI
Call Save_Text with following parameters.
Text_ID : 0001 (Notes)
Text_object : DOC_ITEM (Line Item Text)
Language : EN
Text Name : Company code +Document NO + Fiscal Year + Line item ID

Post long text for document line item via FI-GL Inbound IDoc

I am trying post extension ZFIDCP02 linked basic type FIDCCP02 and message type FIDCC2 IDoc in R/3 (4.6c) via IBM Websphere (Inbound IDoc),
I am use inbound function module IDOC_INPUT_FIDCC2 and activate exit 008 (EXIT_SAPLF050_008) and exit 002 (EXIT_SAPLF050_002),
In the extension ZFIDCP02 and under E1FISEG, I am add my segment ZITEXT include field TDSPRAS, TDID, TDOBJECT, TDLINE.
I am send ZFIDCP02 IDoc via IBM Websphere no error but all field TDSPRAS, TDID, TDOBJECT, TDLINE in my segment ZITEXT not post in FI-GL.
How can I post long text for document line item (ZITEXT) in FI-GL ?.
and I'm mean post ZITEXT to bank statement via IDOC.
Please throw light on this and may be I 'm want solution or example ABAP code for exit 002 (EXIT_SAPLF050_002).

How to set title/text for ALV table column header in WD ABAP

Hello,
I am working in WDA using SALV_WD_Table to display data in table. I need to change the column header text, the obvious way is to get the column header and call the method SET_TEXT to set new text / title. However, this method does NOT work, it does not change the column header text. I also tried the SET_TOOLTIP, this one works, but SET_TEXT does not work. Anyone has idea why this not working and do you find any go-around solution?
My version is NW 7.0

Enabling Key and text for the Variable Selection screen

I need to display key and text for a characteristic when selecting the drop down menu in the variable selection screen of a web report. In the Business Explorer tab within the info-object, I changed the General Settings to display Key and text, but when I open the drop down menu for this characteristic, it is still displaying the key only. Is there some other place where this change needs to happen?

if i under stan your requirement correctly, need to have both text and key values for variables with F4 help.
you need to chnage the properties of that infoobject at infoobjects level or at infoprovider level,
this is at infoprovider level
in RSA1-> go to change mode of infoprovider (Multiprovider/ cube) on which Query is build) then Expand Charecteristc Dimension -> select infoobject -> right -> select provider-specific properties -> select Display '0 Key and Text' . Activate infoprovider and Run Query and check the Selection screen.
