  • Itunes won't open Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit

Today I bought an Itouch 8GB. I downloaded iTunes to get the latest greatest version. I ran the program and agreed to everything, took all the defaults. However when I launch it I get nothing. Just an hourglass and then nothing.
I did a system restore to an earlier date and tried again, same result.

    EUREKA!
Reading the bowls of the post just below, It said to make sure shockwave was enabled. It wasn't!! I enabaled it and tried my web sites and things worked fine.
Thanks to those that post helpful answers

  • Quick Time Won't Open in Vista

Quicktime Quicktime Pro won't open in Vista:
I can't open Quicktime by starting the application. After starting Quicktime a button appears in the Vista system toolbar, but no window opens. If I mouse over the Quicktime button in the toolbar, a preview window appears, but I can't open the window. If I right click, I have the option to close, minimize, or move the quicktime window, but the maximize option is dimmed. If I run Task Manager, Quicktime is running. I can not "switch to" the window, but I can force the application to quit.
The same issue occuredfter a new install of Quicktime, before Quicktime Pro was installed and since Pro was installed. To Register Pro I could only find Quicktime in the 32 Bit Control Panel while the system is running 64 bit.
I have followed the guidelines on the apple web page http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1926 uninstall iTunes and Quickitme, re-install and then re-install Quicktime only.

When I click on it, it flashes a message reading, "Please Install Apple Application Support."
Apple Application Support is needed to run QuickTime. There's some information on the relationship between the two programs in the following user tip:
[QuickTime for Windows and Apple Application Support|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2353984]
Is Apple Applications Support currently showing as being installed in your Add or Remove Programs Control panel?

Hi headshot, <br /> Sorry you are having problems.
Are you seeing any error message or notification ? <br />If so what ?
If the page fails to load try clearing Reloading with the Ctrl F5 shortcut to force loading without the old new cached files. If that does not help try cache and clearing cookies for that site.

You can upload files to Dropbox and edit them with Quickoffice Pro HD.

  • Recent update OS10.5 to 10.6 to Lion. Using Pages (4.1) only some documents won't open. At Genius bar loaded new copy Pages; reloaded Lion clean install. Still won't open although will on another computer. What now?

Pages question: recent update OS10.5 to 10.6 to Lion. Using Pages (4.1) only some documents intermittently
won't open. At Genius bar loaded new copy Pages; reloaded Lion clean install. Still won't open although will on another computer. On the other Mac (running Lion), saved a copy of a document with a new name and sent it back to first computer. At first it would open, but now it as well as multiple other Pages documents won't open. What now?

    yes;
I got Pages to work now- there were two versions, one Universal, and one Intel- by moving the Universal to trash ( although I can't delete it) and moving Intel version to iWorks folder in Applications, it is now working. Doesn't explain why it didn't work though- the other MacBook pro 17 inch that could open all the Pages documents also has two copies of Pages as I see now....
I still however can't open Numbers documents on the MacBook pro 15 inch.... it is a Universal version of Numbers.

  • HT4942 pages document won't open on ipad or icloud

I have created a document in pages on my ipad.
All of a sudden after switching to another document and then trying to switch back, on my ipad which wasn't connected to the internet at the time, I could no longer open my document in Pages.
I message popped up saying document won't open.  I tried making a copy of it and the copy had the same error message when I tried to open it. I tried emailling and exporting it in the ipad Pages app but it froze up when trying to do it and didn't work.
I logged onto icloud and I see the document there but it won't open. I get a message that says "Document Can't be downloaded, please try again"
Is there any way to recover this document?  It is so frustrating because I can see what I wrote is still there in the thumbnail - but I just can't get the actual document.

It isn't complicated if you don't use it. Like Apple.

    Hello stok60,
    Welcome the HP Forums!
I understand you're unable to print from Google Chrome using the Officejet 4630. I will do my best to assist you! I would recommend following this document on Printing Problems With Google Chorme.
If this document doesn't resolve your issue, then please try uninstalling Google Chrome by following this document here. Now, install the latest version of Google Chrome here.
Have you tried a different Web Browser to see if you're receiving the same problem?
Another option you can try is using Google Cloud Print since your printer has ePrint as an added feature. I will provide two documents to help you. This document tells you information on What is Google Cloud Print? This document tells you how to set up this feature here.
Please post your results, as I will be looking forward to hearing from you. Have a great night!

  • Hp windows 7 64-bit documents won't open

I have gotten a new computer and my documents are all their but when I try to open them they won't open. How do I go about getting them open

    Hi,
Most likely the files are not associated to the default programs. What type of files you are trying to open?..If they are microsoft word or MS excel then you'll need microsoft office installed in the computer.
To fix the problem for other files you can try few things..
    i. First make sure all windows updates are up to date. If there are any updates pending then install them.
ii. Then open HP Support Assitant and check if there are any pending updates from HP.
    Using HP Support Assistant
iii. If after running all the updates the problem still persists then can follow the steps from the link below or directly run the file listed there..
Set File Associations Through Default Programs
    Note:
If you have HP Support Assistant installed on the computer(The Blue Question Mark) then open it ==> Complete all pending Updates & Tuneups==> Restart and Check. It may solve your problem
Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.

  • How do I get Reader to open hyperlinks with Google Chrome

I'm using Adobe Reader X Version 10.1.3 on Windows 7 to open a PDF I've downloaded to my hard drive.  The document opens fine and it has hyperlinks to sites on the internet.  When I click one of these links, it opens Microsoft Internet Explorer to navigate to the page rather than my default browser, Google Chrome.  My system Internet Settings window confirms that IE is not the default browser and the Chrome settings window says that it is the default.
Does Reader have its own concept of the default browser?  Is there a way to change this or is it going to be stubborn?

Thunderbird uses the browser you have set as default. Have you set Chrome as your default browser?

  • Forms do not open correctly in Google Chrome and Firefox

Does anybody know the reason for the bad performance of the Adobe form, which I have created from scratch using the available tools in Form Central?
It only works in Explorer and Safari...
Also, if saved as a pdf, users experience that the "send it" button is dysfunctional.

    Hi Josh
If by webform you mean the version that is generated in Formcentral for embedding onto a website, your question is simple to answer.
The problems I have described occurs when using this webform, which I have generated for embedding. I have found that it is easier to email the pdf version to the customer, because then they can open it in Adobe Reader.
I have aslo found that the webform works in Safari and Explorer. In Firefox it opens without functioning fields, but firefox opens a line stating that the document is not shown correctly, and they give option to reopen in program of choice. If doing this in Adobe Reader, it works.
In google chrome it just does not work...
Maybe the webform should be rebuilt, or I should just forget about it and arrange a pdf download button instead?

  • QuickTime Player Document won't open

I tried opening it a few times and checked permissions, (I think they're set right) and QuickTime won't open my QuickTime Player Documents. The end part is .ml20.
    Any advice?

"checked permissions, (I think they're set right) "
Do you actually mean you checked your QT MIME settings? Asking because you really don't check permissions to set anything.
    Repairing permissions involes the following:
Save and/or quit your applications & doucuments
    Go to Applications>Utilities Folder
    Click Disk Utility
Click the Volumn (HD) that you want to check.
Click the Repair Disk Permissions button. (Don't worry about verifying)
At the bottom of window when the repairs have finished, you will see the “most important thing”:
    Permission Repairs Complete
The previliges have been repaired or completed on the selected volumn.
    Restart your computer.
