  • Documentary payment in MM - Foreign Trade

    Hi all,
I have a question regarding documentary payment in MM, Foreign trade. In SD module, foreign trade there is a nice transaction regarding documentary payment and letter of credit but in MM module is not set up. When I want to enter vendor code there is no field but only customer. So, my question is, is it possible that transaction in menu for MM - foreign trade have transaction to enter documentary payment like letter of credit without vendor field? or there is some settings to be previously done or some field selection to change to be able to enter vendor and not only customer or is not possible at all in MM to use documentary payments but only in SD?
    Thanks,
    BR

it is only available in SD.
I dont really see a need for this in pruchasing.
This L/C is a guarantee, it guarantees that you as selling company get your money. You need this Documentary payment  in foreign trade to avoid that you sell and ship more than the guaranteed payment, as you may never see any money for the overdelivered quantity.
From a MM point of view, you are just requested to pay when the goods are on the way or have arrived at your site. your bank will not give the money to your vendor if you have not received the goods.,
What would be the benefit of maintaining the same from MM point of view? to avoid that you create orders for more than your bank guarantees the payment? To remind you to open a L/C when the PO is created? (isn't the PO with proper payment terms not already enough )
If you really want to monitor it from MM point of view, then you can create a contract and reference it when creating a PO.

  • Documentary Payment Guarantee Data Source (AKKP table)

Hi sap gurus, I couldn't find a data source based on AKKP table. I need Documentary Payment Guarantee information. I can create documants with vx11n. this transaction creates data at AKKP table for a specific customer. is there any specific data source based on AKKP table?

There is no standard content for this table. Therefore, you're going to have to create a generic DataSource for this table.

    Hi,

    eg.
1: the financial document value : USD 1000
    2. Sales order value : USD 300
    3. Credit limit check at delivery lever.
    4. Create delivery note base on the sales document. and  assigned the financial document at delivery header. the system subtracts the sales order value from the financial document, leaving a balance of USD 700
    5. Create Billing document base on the delivery. after this transaction, the remaining amount of this financial document has change to 1000 USD.
Anybody can tell me why this remaining amount of the financial document has change to 1000 USD?

  • Advance payment can not be used against credit limit and another sales ord

    Hi,
I have advance payment scenario where customer want advance payment cannot be used against another sales order and against any credit limit.
    Let me put one example.
Customer X is having credit limit of 1000 USD, if my client is received customized product order then he will take advance for this special order but customer X is already enjoying credit limit of 1000 USD. In this scenario my client wants advance payment received cannot use against any sales order and against any credit limit.
If I will post advance payment in F-29 then customer credit exposure will decrease against credit limit in FD32 which will affect normal sales order credit limit. Here customer does not want to utilize advance payment against credit limit of customer which is use for normal sales order.
    Please suggest

    Hi,
    You can use the SAP standard documentary payment management functionality together with credit management for this purpose. You need to configure Documentary payments in SAP first. For that see below link;
    [Documentary payments|http://www.learnsaptips.com/2011/09/how-to-handle-letter-of-credit-in-sap.html]
Then the advance payment has to be created as a financial document in SAP. This is just a SD only document and no impact to FI. During sales order creation you can assign this document number in to your sales document. It is possible to add it to sales order header as well as to individual line items.
If the attached financial document is sufficient to cover the value of the total sales order (If you attached to header) or value of the line item (If you attach it to a line item), system will NOT take that value for credit exposure calculation.
As far as I understood from your question, this is exactly what you're looking for.
    Best regards,
    Anupa

  • Howto use the Payment guarantee/ Financial document for domestic customer

    Hi Experts,
    Seasons Greeting.
    My Requirement is that
The Customer is the domestic. Customer will provide the Bank Guarantee.  The Bank Guarantee will have start date and end date. The customer can submit the Bank Guarantee to one and only one institute/organization. It means the Bank Guarantee document will be in physical possession of that institute/organization. Using Bank Guarantee the financial institute gives the assurance of the payment agreed into the Bank Guarantee. This Means that bank will honor the payment if customer fails to pay and the company/organization decides to revoke this financial document within the validity period
I am wondering whether I can achieve this using the SAP Documentary payment. But per sap documentation provided on help.sap.com its used for Export scenarios
    Appreciate your views on this.
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi ,
    Inputs will be rewarded

  • Letter of credit check status not correct in VL01N

    Hi, Gurus,
I activate both credit management and documentary payment. When I try to create delivery-VL01N with reference to a sales order, i assign an financial document with 100% depreciation. Suppse deliver amount exceeds this financial document, system should issue message and block this delivery. However, there were no such message and credit status is "A" when saving delivery.
In Vl02N, not changing any data, system issue the message showing that
the financial document value is exceeded, and delivery is blocked when I save the delivery.
I checked my configuration, and cannot think of anything related to this.
After debug, I found out that the reason is that SAP get delivery value from table S131, field  OLIKW and compare it with financial document open value. However, S131-LOIKW is 0 when I create the delivery. After delivery is created, S131-OLIKW value is corect. Therefore, when i change delivery and try to save before exit, system will issue the message.
Does anyone know anything might be related to this weird issue?
    Thanks,
    Cicely

    Hi Gopala,
The accounting document has already been released &accounting doc has been created. But the value of Financial Doc i.e Letter of Credit remains same.

    Hellos Experts,
This is neo, I work for the client were they have export sales so they have the Letter Of Credit during the process. Now the scenario is that.
I know some thing like I did the configuration setting for this In IMG (Foreign trade and customs >> Documentary payments) every thing is 5n. and the process which i fallow is

    vl01n-PGI also
    VF01
    VF02-release to accounting.
when i am doing the sales order in the line item i am entering the LC num:":82" and saved the document. After this when i see the VX12N the 82 number then the lc value is decreased. after the completing of delivery and invoice and release also when im going to check the value of LC 82 is reamins same.
    here my qutions are:
    1) how to do the export sales process with LC
2)the process which i fallow is correct or wrong
    3) what is the use of
         a) VKM3
         b) VKm5
         c) VXA3
    4) if during this process do i need to release the document using any special transaction codes

    Dear indrajit
run VX11N and maintain the L/C details there and once saved, a reference number will be generated.  Go to sale order, select at Header tab Billing and assign this reference in the field Financial doc no
    thanks

  • Letter of credit functionality for imports

    Hi Experts
W.r.t FT, the financial document can be used as LC.
    1) Is it possible to use this LC (Financial doc- Transaction VX11N) for linking the import purchase order?
    2) Is there any standard functionality to monitor the import purchase orders which involve Letter of credit?
    3) Is there any userexit to enhance the existing VX11N to make use for import purchase order?
    warm regards
    marias

    Hello Marias,
I regret to inform you that the functionality you request is not
implemented in the standard system within the Foriegn trade area.
" The documentary payment functionality (Letter of Credit) for vendors
is not available in SAP Standard System.
Documentary payments can only be created on the SD side for customer
      but not for vendors.
At this time, there is no plan to develop this functionality. "
Please note that the Foriegn Trade functionality has been expanded and
is available in the solution product "Global Trade Services" (GTS).
As you are probably already aware information on GTS is available in SAP
    Service Marketplace.
    Regards,
    Alex

  • Letter of credit in Sales Order processing

The Problem is related to LC(Letter Of credit) attached to Sales order.
In some cases, when we raise a sales order and attach LC even if all the fields are matching in LC and sales order the value is not reflected in LC.
One more problem is When the order is attached with LC it should not go into credit check but it goes into credit check and blocks the order.
In Case, we are using revolving LC even if the payment is recieved from the customer the value is not getting update in the LC.
The above kind of problems are also persistant in all sorts of documentary payments i.e Bank gurantees and Lc etc
We are using documentary payments for foreign trade for special business trasactions where customer credit management should not be utilized.
Any suggetions on the issue or insight in foreign trade and documentary payments will be highly appreciating.

    Hi sreedhar,
U just have to do a simple customization as follows,

  • Status of Financial Document

    Hi All,
Can we change the Financial Document Status to "C" (Notification that document has been sent) after the status of that financial document was set to "E" (Change in document has been submitted) ? And how to do that ? Or we must create a new Fin Doc ?
Because one of my user want to change back the status of a fin doc.
    Thank you

    Hi Rudy,
Not sure if following references could help or related to your case, but you could try it out to see how the effects.
Setting the Status of Financial Documents
    Use:
A financial document's status controls whether it is available for use in sales orders. For example:
Status to B 'Document is incomplete' means that you still need additional information for the financial document
Status D 'Document is available and can be used' means that the financial document can be assigned to sales orders
Status E 'Change in document has been submitted' means that the document cannot be assigned to a sales order until you change its status to D
    Prerequisites
The status of a financial document is protected by an authority object. You can configure the authorization object to allow several users to create, change, or display financial documents while allowing only one or a few users to maintain the documents’ statuses. Only users assigned activity 36 (extended maintenance) for this authority object have permission activate a financial document.
You can also configure the SAP System to require two people to activate a financial document. This configuration helps ensure that the financial document data is double-checked before it can be used in the system. Maintain the double-check feature in Customizing for Sales and Distribution. Choose Foreign Trade/Customs ® Documentary Payments ® Basic settings ® Define Indicators for Financial Documents. Select a Financial Document Indicator and then Goto ® Details. Select Double-check on under Extended confirmation control.
    Procedure
Go to the Cockpit for Documentary Payments.
    Choose Maintain financial documents.
On the Status tab, select a status.
If you want to activate the document, choose status D (Document is available and can be used).
    Save the financial document.
