Documentation for Online Store or any other Apex application?

Hi!
I'm trying to understand Apex "Online Store" sample Packaged Application
dowloaded from

After having spent several days trying to "decode" this Application,
with some moderate success,
I decided to ask if there is some documentation/explanation of this Application,
or alternatively if you could point me
to some other well documented and explained Apex Application,
preferably with "online store" features.
I'm a newcomer to Apex, PL/SQL, and the rest of Oracle culture.
I've studied manuals and tutorials such as

Yes, I did (turning off and then on again is a way of life for any windows user!). Actually, through a process of trial and error I have fixed the problem although I'm not very comfortable with the fix. For some reason, the OS X firewall is to blame. By relaxing the firewall settings to their most lenient, the iTunes store is now fully accessible via iTunes, and so is the whole of the apple website. Another added side effect has been that general web browsing is now lightning fast.
I'm therefore left with the (temporary) conclusion that my iMac's internal firewall is only capable of blocking access to the web resources of the people who created it, and slowing my web browser to a crawl.

Selecting pictures for Online Photo Processing Centers other than Kodak

How can I select photos for printing in Elements for online photo processing sites other than Kodak? Is there a simple way to do this in the Organizer? The online photo sites usually give me only a thumbnail view of the picture and I can't tell which is best.
The way I've been doing it is tagging photos in Elements as favorites, and then tabbing back and forth between Elements (to view the pictures) and online site (to find the name). There has to be a better way to do this!

Choose your photos in the organizer and export them to a folder on your desktop, then upload from there.

Why not? If you are under warranty and/or have AppleCare, call them. Let Apple deal w/hardware problems. If you mess up, your warranty will be voided!

I red about a Silverlight 5 version that should run also on ipad/iphone, annouced last year for 2011, but I can't find any recent update. On apple store you can find a silverlight 3 version at 5.99$, but it does not seem to be the same thing, just same name.
I'm not sure that this closure is a good policy from apple side. If I knew in advance I would never buy an ipad.

I Live in a weird area with no hardwired internet connection.
My only internet connection is my iPad Air's UNLIMITED DATA plan from AT&T... It's LTE and it works great for my usual work.

If you intend to use your iPads data plan then that will require use of the tethering/hot spot feature. As I said, you will not be able to use airplay, that needs a wifi LAN (home network). This may change with IOS 8, but won't know for sure until the release.

Photo editing for online store products

I believe that the degree of control that you'd need necessitates an application on your Mac, rather than a $3 app on the iPad. You might consider Photoshop Elements - 90% of the power of the full PS at 10% of the price. Shop around. With rebates, you can probably get it for $60 to $70 and it's well worth that price.

CM7/8.5 - Is MAC address for a device stored any other place other than device name?

We are interested in obtaining the MAC of a soft phone through a query to the RIS port. Everything is working fine as long as the MAC address that is written to the device name field by default is not changed by a user to read something else like machine name. Is there a field other than device name that we should be querying for a device to always be sure to get the MAC address of a device?
Currently the XML returned by the RIS port is parsed to get the CmDevices.Name. The returned MAC address is formed by returning this name minus any occurrence of the string "SEP".

Therefore please try to create your CNNAM record in the same zone and try again.

Apple Online store ship to other country than selected.

Hey everyone, I know the title is confusing. Basically, I study in the UK, and Apple has an agreement with my Uni, so I can get a student discount when I buy a new Mac. I am currently not in the UK however, but would like to purchase a Mac Pro in a couple of months (with student discount) and have it ship to my current location. Is this possible?

My camera will not work with Photo booth or any other camera application.

I have an iMac Intel 21.5".
Camera has always worked just fine.
Suddenly it has stopped.
The green light right next to the camera is on, but nothing is displayed on the screen (photo booth).
No error message is displayed either.
I have already tried the reset function (turn off, remove all cables and power cable for 10 sec, and turn it back on) but it hasn't worked.
Any thoughts?

Built-in iSight cameras
These steps are for iSight cameras that are built into a computer, such as the iMac G5 (iSight) or later, the MacBook, or MacBook Pro.
1. See if the issue is application-specific.
Try another application (iSight works with applications like iChat, PhotoBooth, and iMovie HD 6) to see if the iSight camera exhibits the same behavior in all applications. If it only happens in one application, try reinstalling that application.
2. See if the issue is user-specific.
Test your iSight camera in another user account. If the issue only occurs in one user, the issue would be isolated to user settings.
3. Find out if the computer recognizes the iSight
Check System Profiler (in the Utilities folder, inside the Applications folder). Under the USB header, check to see if the iSight camera is detected.
4. Reset SMC or PMU

Firefox 7 installed, can`t get online help in any Office 2007 application.

When I press F1 in Word, Excel etc, a window displays asking run, save or cancel Transition.htm a firefox document.

So am I screwed here guys or what? I found a temporary solution by hardwiring into the modem, but my landlord needs to use the Airport Express, which doesn't have an ethernet port for plugging into.
Should I buy an Airport Card to put in the Mac Pro? Or an Airport Extreme base with hard wire ports to plug into?

<li> If you meant an application page, then they are anot stored as html file anywhere as the page that you see is generated at the run time only, however you can can save that run time page , but its of not much use.
<li> If your intention is to save/backup an apex page, go to the page and export it . This generates a SQL file which you can import into any other apex application and recreate that apex page.
<li> You can also export the entire application as a single file too.

Do you know of any examples or documentation for exporting several regions on an APEX page to either a word doc or a pdf? I have tried using the report print functionality but it's not quite robust enough and I can only do one report.
Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure if I've understood your requirement but I'll guess that you have multiple reports or other items on a page and you want to generate 1 report with values from all regions...
If that's the case the approach I would take:
1) Configure either BI Publisher or Apache FOP printing.
2) Define a Report Query and Layout under shared components that pulls in all the data you require.
3) Call the new report from a button on the page.
You can find docs for all of this on apex.oracle.com, look for "Configure PDF Printing".

How to use online store? Always tries to use program

Like a lot of people, I can't access the iTunes store through iTunes. A lot of posts I've read say to use the online store, but whenever I try to do that, it tries to use the iTunes program. I can search for artists and songs online, but as soon as I go to listen to them, it brings up iTunes and I get that annoying error notification. Not to mention that I want to connect to check out the top 100 downloads and there doesn't appear to be any way to do that from the online store.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Alright, I guess I misunderstood.
On a thread about not being able to connect to the iTunes store, a few people mentioned using the iTunes online store; I thought it was an alternative, but I guess I was wrong.
So the error notification doesn't matter anymore either. Thanks.
