The following predefined user roles are available for customizing and administration:

For the sending of alerts via external communication methods (e-mail, sms, fax) and for inbound processing, an RFC user has to be created on the central alert server with the role SAP_BC_ALM_ALERT_USER. The authorization objects contained in this role are S_OC_SEND and S_RFC.
Accessing alert inbox the userid has to have the role SAP_XI_MONITOR.

Initially I had downloaded Document 2 (Free) application to view my doc, ppt and xls files. I was not able to edit the files so there was an option for upgrade the Document-2 free to paid version. I have upgraded the Document 2 application. But on my iPad now there are to application present Docemnt-2 (Free) and Document-2. I am not able to open any existing document using the upgraded version of application. How do I connect all the existing txt,PPT,XLS doccument to the new upgraded Document-2 application and then to edit it on my iPad.

As suggested I had deleted the free application and did a hard restart the iPad. I have again copied the document using iTunes. But I am not able to edit any document using this app. Document 2 (paid version) supports editing features of the txt/ xls /ppt files. Is there any problem while loading the Document 2 app. If I reload then do I need to purchase again?

Documentation for PI ABAP roles

Hi all,
is there a general documentation for the PI ABAP roles? I assume something like that:
- User should access J2EE Adapter Engines / SOAP Adapter (used for sending a Webservice to PI from a 3rd Party Application) --> necessary role abc
- User should be able to process Alerts in Alert Inbox --> necessary role def
- User should be able to create repository objects --> necessary role ghi
- User should be able to create scenario objects in intergration directory --> necessary role jkl
What I still don't know which ABAP role is used for which purpose. We'd like to assign minimal roles to the users.

Test plan for upgrading the support packs

Dear friends,
We are going to upgrade the BI system with SP18.
Please let me know the impact system will be facing with this upgrade and the test plan to take care after the upgrade.

Upgradation steps:
1) Convert Data Classes of InfoCubes. Set up a new data class as described in SAP OSS Note 46272.
2) Pay attention to the naming convention. Execute the RSDG_DATCLS_ASSIGN report.
3) Run the report RSUPGRCHECK to activate objects.
4) Upgrading ABAP and JAVA in parallel may cause issues. If there is no custom development on J2EE instance, it is recommended to drop the J2EE instance and re-install the latest J2EE instance after the upgrade.
5) Apply SAP OSS Note 917999 if you include the Support Patch 6 with the upgrade or you will get the error at PARCONV_UPG phase. When you upgrade to a product containing Basis 700, the phase PARCONV_UPG terminates. You included Basis Support Packages up to package level 6 (SAPKB70006) in the upgrade. The job RDDGENBB_n terminates with the error RAISE_EXCEPTION. In addition to this, the syslog contains the short dump TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED. The program SDB2FORA terminates in the statement "LOOP AT stmt_tab". An endless loop occurs when the system creates the database table QCM8TATOPGA.
6) Apply the OSS note 917999 if you get the following error during PARCONV_UPG phase: PARCONV_UPG terminates with TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOG_FAILED

3. Install the J2EE instance as Add-in to ABAP for BI 7.0 and apply the Support Patch that equivalent to ABAP Support Patch.
4. Run SGEN to recompile programs.
5. Install the Kernel Patch.
6. Missing Variants - (also part of test script) look at the RSRVARIANT table in SE16. If it is empty, then you will definitely need to run RSR_VARIANT_XPRA program - RSR_VARINT_XPRA OSS -953346 and 960206 1003481
7. Trouble Shootauthorizations 820183 - New authorization concept in BI

I'd suggest that amongst many others, you need a network map, indicating how your landscape is put together. It's also worth having a patching diagram in each rack / cabinet for that location.You need to have full details on each server; especially all physical servers. It's worth detailing what services, applications, roles each server (including VMs) are hosting; along with information on any specific configuration requirements. Think of what you would need if you had to rebuild that server completely from scratch.I used to have a number of work check lists; things that would be required when performing certain tasks. These would detail the steps involved, what would be required to perform a check, and highlight any specific requirements or warnings (e.g. don't re-boot unless serviceY has been stopped first as otherwise it might take...

I have a macbook white with osx 10.6.8 and the software update wont work anymore for upgrading the software ,what should i do?

some of the apps that i just downloaded are not compatible with my software and when I tried to upgrade to mavericks from the app store, in my download list it wont download. Before ive tried download it, it worked, but i paused it, so when i tried again, nothings changed
Please help, should i download mac os x 10.7? and where?

Software Update won't take you beyond 10.6.8 which is the highest incremental update for Snow Leopard. The fact that it won't let you upgrade to Mavericks suggests that your Mac is not compatible.
You should start by checking that your Mac can handle Lion, for which the requirements are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available space
The original early 2006 MacBooks have only a Core Duo processor and so are not compatible, but the models from late 2006 on have a Core 2 Duo and so should be.
Lion is available in the Online Apple Store ($19.99). You will get a code which you can use to download it from the Mac App Store.

First read the release notes of ECC 6.0 with respect to ur version (4.7c).
Observe changes in ECC 6.0 and make further changes in Blue print new release.
u can find the release notes at sap help and also at the screen.

What is the recommended procedure for upgrading the OS?

I'm a creative cloud subscriber and am about to perform an upgrade from Win 7 to Win 8. Has this scenario been tested? Should I deactivate and/or uninstall my Adobe products before the upgrade, and then reinstall after? Will this be considered a 'new' computer, and cost me another install?
Let me know if there is any documentation available for 'best-practices' when upgrading an OS with Adobe products installed.

HT1420 many times I tried for upgrading the apps but not functioning

Many times I tried to update the apps but after typing of password onwards window is going into silent mode
since the time of purchase my id is one and the same but previously it is from usa sotre and recently from Indian store

Have you tried logging out of your account on your iPad by tapping on your id at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app and the logging back in and seeing if it then works ? If that doesn't fix it then you could try a soft-reset of your iPad

If you are searching in the Mac Help, it will give you an instruction how to fix your problems (but of course can´t work it out). Very strange!

GRC SPM 5.3: Auth. object GRCFF_0001 in the role /VIRSA/Z_VFAT_FIREFIGHTER

I should assign the default role "/VIRSA/Z_VFAT_FIREFIGHTER" to FF users. (see page 18):
Base user authorizations required to logon as a firefighter. The firefighter role provides authorization for users who have a firefighter ID to run a firefighter transaction. Read SAP Note 1319031 for additional authorizations required after installation of AC5.3 SP07.
The authorization object GRCFF_0001 field ACTVT is * as per default, and as the Sec. Guide says, see page 22.
What is this authorization for?
The documentation of this field (PFCG-> press <F1> on object) states following:
"Authorization Object is used to restrict maintaining and uploading data various tables such as Configuration,Reason Codes, Controllers, Owners and Firefighters"
Iu2019ve removed completely this authorization for the role "/VIRSA/Z_VFAT_FIREFIGHTERu201D and users still can use their FF without problems.
The problem is in the case of a user having the following auth:
GRCFF_0001 ACTV *
S_TABU_DIS ACTV 02 Table group: Z****
This combination allows FF users to change all the configuration tables in tx. /n/virsa/vfat.
What do you think? Is the security guide correct? Why we should give FF users this authorization?. As I said Iu2019ve removed this auth from the role and all works fine anyway.

I've removed the authorization from the users. It means, no user has this authorization. I've checked it using SUIM. I've done a lot of test already.
If you've a look at the sec. guide, you'll understand what I'm saying. Note for example the role /VIRSA/Z_VFAT_ID_OWNER and compare it with /VIRSA/Z_VFAT_FIREFIGHTER.
As per the security guide a owner should have ONLY ACTV 02 and 03, while I should give FF users *. This makes no sense at all. ACTV * should be granted only to admins.
Agian, note what is this authorization for:
"Authorization Object is used to restrict maintaining and uploading data various tables such as Configuration,Reason Codes, Controllers, Owners and Firefighters"
Do u think is correct to give FF users ACTV * taking into account this definition from PFCG???

Help upgrading the ACE 3(0)A1(3)version to any A1 train release

Hello All,
I would like to know where on cisco website i can find the procedure for upgrading the version ACE 3(0)A1(3) to the latest A1 train release i.e A1(6.2 or 6.3) i tried searching it but found this and no aware there is mentioned of upgrading from A1(3) to any other firmware.
Also this software is no longer avaialable.

I used the procedure to upgrade from A1(4a) without problems.

Send to a Particular Person in the Role

Hi,
I would like to implement sending the task to a particular person in the role. Currently, GP will send the request to all the personal in the Role.
How do I control in such a way that there is only a task send to a particular person of concern of that Role.
For example,
The Role - ApprovingOfficer consisting User : user A, user B and user C
If I am from dept A I should send my request to user A, rather than also sending to user B and user C (which is what the current GP is )
how to I do that? can advise?

As there are a few users can be of the same role. But depend on who I select the users dynamically from the WD UI, the task will be route to the particular user for action. (instead of all user of that Role now).

Is it possible to upgrade the graphics card in HP DV7-2043CL?

Hi guys,
I would like to upgrade my old laptop specs in order to improve a little bit its overall performance.
The main use is for lite-mid gaming purposes and the first thing that I wish to upgrade is the graphics card of course (currently got HD4650 in it)
The gpu is integrated with the CPU, or can I pull it out and put a new one instead?
The second thing that I'm going to add is a new SSD (129.99 bucks for the Crucial SSD - 240GB)
I don't have a large budget, so I cannot afford right now to buy a new laptop that will fit my requirements.
As for upgrading the ram from 4BG to 8GB - I saw a post here from some of the experts (Paul)
claiming that the performance difference isnt worth 200$
What do you guys think?

Basically you can, with a cost and I believe this cost may be more expensive than buying a new computer because you have to take into account:
New card price, and WHERE you can buy it because laptop cards are not the same as desktop cards. You can't buy from any normal shop,
Need new system board (may be),
Need new cooling system because generally speaking more powerfull card pumps out more heat (you want more powerfull card don't you?).
May need new PSU because your current PSU may not suitbale to the card. (I ordered a machine with Nvidia card and I needed to order a 90W charger at the same time, not the normal 65W charger. They simply rejected my order).
Labor cost.
Many, many packets of Asprin.
For SSD, I can't see any problem with this. I actually upgraded 4 of my machines. I bought a Crucial 960Gb for the 5th machine and probably will do sometimes next week.
