Documentation for Workbench Error Messages

Where is the documentation for all workbench error messages. The workbench help says to look in "Oracle 9iAS TopLink: Troubleshooting Guide". Does this documentation exist? If so, where is it?

Need a BADI for raising error messages for equi update (IE02)

Hi,
we are trying to raise few error messages while creating equipments through BADI's (Processing through IE02 and BAPI's).
No BADI's are supporting for raising error messages.
SAP doesnt support processing of userexits through BAPI's (refer note 564467).
we actually need to implement these checks and should available for all the below processes:
Through IE02
while doing through BAPI's
While Executing MASS CHANGE functionality (IE05)
Please suggest any other solution to achieve all the three at one go instead of creating some enhancements for every thing.

Try and search for a BADI....for transaction I102...take the package name and go to SE18 and see if BADI's are available...
Alternatively search for key CL_EXITHANDLER or get BADI in the main program of IE02..
if you are using SAP ECC6.0 then implicit or explicit enhancements will be available... Utilize them to meet your requirement...

How to select a locale for parser error messages

Does anybody know how I can select a locale for parser error messages? I found org.xml.sax.Parser.setLocale, but that's for SAX1 and deprecated.
I have a textarea in the user interface where a user can edit XML and, of course, I'd like the parsing error messages to appear in the selected locale...
Any help appreciated.

Yes, but doing this you changed the locale for the JVM! I know that. My intention was to see whether the parsers even had error messages in languages other than English. If they didn't then there would be no point in proceeding. But they do, so maybe there is some point.
However you don't get to specify the locale for exceptions thrown by other Java classes, so I wouldn't be surprised to find you don't get to specify the locale for exceptions thrown by XML parsers. I'm not saying there is no way to do that, only that I would not be surprised if there were no way.

Why do I always have "Insufficent Content for Edit" error message ?

Hi all FCE experts,
May I ask why do I always have "Insufficent Content for Edit" error message when I tried to overwrite or replace a clip ?
Ok,this is what happen:
I have a clip A (4 secs) followed by clip B (4 secs). Then in between I add a video transition.
After a while, I reckon I want to change clip B with another clip (say clip C). So, I went to brower & search for clip C which is 2 mins long clip. To make sure there are enough handles, I went to the centre mark an In point then 4 sec later mark an Out point. So I drag this clips C of 4 secs from the Viewer (I marked the In & Out point in the viewer) to the Overlay canvas & do an Overwrite but it says "Insufficent Content for Edit".
I then tried Replace also got the "Insufficent Content for Edit" error message.
I then tried to delete the video transition and repeat the above for overwrite and replace, both times I got the same error.
Any ideas ?

I have In Point & Out Point marked on the Timeline. I used it when I did FILE > EXPORT and left it there. But once I cleared it, I am able to replace it with another clip.
But I am still puzzled as to why I cannot do any overwrite or replace when there is I/O points marked on the Timeline ? Especially when the section of clips I wanted to overwrite or replaced are located outside of the I/O points ?

No Matching Connection for ICMP Error Message

I am running into a little bit of an issue with my Clean Access Deployment. We are using a pair of 5520s in conjunction with Clean Access deployed in L3 gateway mode. My active ASA is constantly displaying the message "No Matching Connection for ICMP Error Message source Clean Access Manager destination some client on our VPN subnet." I understand during discovery the Clean Access Agent will ping the Manager, however what I can't understand is why the CAM continues to send ICMP unreachable messages to some clients. It may send hundreds of these messages over a period of two or three minutes. Any ideas?

ORA-01401 and ORA-12899 : "too large for column" error messages

For the past 8hours, I have been googling about
the related ORA-01401 and ORA-12899 error
messages.
I noticed that ORA-01401 had been removed from the list
of error messages in Oracle 10g documentation.

Even if installed Oracle is 10g, when he tried to "insert a 100 into a number(2).",
he supposedly got ORA-01401. So, is ORA-01401 still part of 10g or not?
I have yet to confirm this myself.
Sorry for being meticulous. Our customer just wants to know the
information for the 2nd question. It's hard to convince them without
showing official documents.

Such details are seldom published. One guess is what they changed altered the reason behind the message so using the same code would be a bad idea.

If you are referring to the occurrence of ora-1401 from a select on a XE db, that may be a bug.

SAVE_TEXT for long error Message not working.

Hi Experts,
I am Using SAVE_TEXT FM to Dynamically Change Long Text for a message.
1. i am able to run succesfully SAVE_TEXT with SY-SUBRC = 0.
2. I can see the entry in STXH.
3. I have also performed COMMIT_TEXT with all the parameters and COMMIT_WORK.
4. I am able to See the changed Text using READ_TEXT FM.
but if i go to SE91 to the message no. and see long text i am not able to see the changed text.
also when change the long text of it in a program and call the error message we should be able to see the changed long text on click of error message in status bar but it shows the same message as in SE91.
Earlier for this Text Object & Text ID in SE75 Save mode was SPACE so i changed the same to Update still its not working.

Read_TEXT - I want to change Text not read it.
INIT_TEXT- this cannot be used to change texts.
EDIT_TEXT- this function module Opens the Long text screen
                   and we have to manually save it, but i want to save the text automaticaly
                   all this is done using SAVE_TEXT.
Only problem is I am missing something after the call of SAVE_TEXT because text is changed
as i can see that using read_text FM but if i go to SE91 and see long text for the corresponding message no. i cannot see the
changed text done bu SAVE_TEXT.

PSE 8 for Mac - Error Message

I just installed PSE8 for Mac running OSX 10.5.8. When I click on PSE I get an error message "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired". I'm not trying to open any documents, just the program. When I create a new file I continue to get the message. I can open pictures and edit them, but this message keeps on appearing every time I want to create a new document. Any suggestions?

Did you install from an administrative account? Did you disable any antivirus software (if you use it) before installing?

I keep getting this error message over and over when all I have plugged in is an Apple USB keyboard and Apple Mouse. Please help...this is crippling the computer!

Sometimes you have to reset the SMC two or three times for it to work, don't know why. I've seen that error message before and 100% of the time it was fixed with an SMC reset. I suppose it's possible that your keyboard or mouse IS drawing too much power, do you have access to another you could try?

Error message on updates for CS6, error message on updates for CS6

I've been having major issues with CS6 as well as CC - started with both versions of photoshop locking up, then totally refusing to open. Uninstalled both versions, just reinstalled CS6 but it is not opening unless I hit the shift key while initiating, then it refused to open a raw file so I went in to update to accomodate my camera and got these error messages. I have been without a working photoshop program for what seems like a very long time and this is beyond acceptable. Tech support was not helpful.

I've subscribed to the Reuter's Technology News on my Bionic so I can stay in the know on the latest and greatest rumors in the wireless world. Not only is it my job but I enjoy reading the speculation on the latest and upcoming devices. Needless to say I've had an experience that's similar to yours.
When I received a subscription error, I had to do a factory data reset on my new Droid Bionic in order to successfully subscribe to the News Feeds. Although I do recommend that you try this, let's save this step as a last resort. Please try to remove the battery while the device is powered on & re-insert then power the device on. Afterwards, verify that you have a good 3G/4G signal, anything more than 2 bars. If you are still experiencing access issues then the factory data reset would be the next step. Of course you will have to reactivate your device after the factory reset. Prior to completing the reset I recommend verifying that your contacts are backed up on either backup assistant or on your Gmail account. Also, your pictures, videos, and music will be saved on the memory card so this info is not in danger. Help diagnose Crystal Reports for Enterprise error message

When I attempt to open a specific report from our server using CRE, I receive the error message: "Unable to Open Report", "A problem occurred while opening the report from the server." "Please contact your server administrator."
The report runs fine as part of a publication. I have been able to make copies of the report on the server, but CRE will not open the copies either.
Can anyone please point this newish BOE/CRE user in the right direction for finding a solution to this problem? Where can I look for further information about what the error really means.

I am able to open and edit other reports on the server without problem. I believe that they are the same version and pack. Here are my versions:
CR for Enterprise Version 14.1.3.1257, Build 2013 Support Pack 3.
SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.1 Support Pack 3, Version 14.1.3.1257
When CRE displays an error like this, is there further information in a log or recorded anywhere else? How does one go about finding details?

How to exclude "Blocked for Purchase" error message in PO creation for particular Order Type

In Article master some times we used to set Site-Specific Article Status = '01'. (MARC-MMSTA)

My requirement is that when Creating PO in ME21N for a particular Order Type (Purchasing). This check need to be removed.
Now if we try creating the PO we will be getting the below error message.
Status "Blocked for Purchase" of article XXXXXX does not allow external procurement.
Is there any exit or BADI where i can put logic to remove this check.

we need to display the error message that is being displayed at the bottom of the window in the portal through a pop up box.Is there a property that can be changed for an error to appear as a pop up instead of in the status bar.We are in EP6.0 SP2.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
