Documentation on creating an Adobe form

Dear Expert,
I am new to the Adobe form. I tried to follow the guideline in help.sap to create a relocation service. However i am getting a lots or error. Do anyone have any documentation on Adobe including tutorial?

How to create several Adobe Forms ??

Hi everybody:
I need to create several Adobe forms in my webdynpro application, for example: take data from a table and create such forms as rows in table. Right now, my app. only is able to create 1 adobe form (with the data of the first row). It is posible or not???

Using SFP to create an Adobe form

Does anyone out there know how to configure a Adobe form that will continue printing the rows of a dynamic table on to the next page?
90% of the time only one page is required to print the table because the number of rows is small..
The solution we would like is to create the second page only if the dynamic table rows grow too large to print on one page.
We have tried reading the SFP help documentation several times but still can not configure it correctly.

1. keep the table in the body page(and not in master page)
2. wrap the table in a subform, and make it page break allowed with flowed layout in the object palette )
work done.

How do i create an adobe form that has auto numbering?

Our purchasing department requires a Purchase Requisition that contains it's own unique number so the requisition can be associated with the Purchase Order. Can this type of form be created using Adobe Acrobat?

I need to create the form below and have the requisition number field auto populate and never generate a duplicate.

Saving information in pdf created in Adobe forms

I am certain there is a simple solution to this issue but I cannot find the answer. I have created some template forms in FormCentral that I use in a therapy clinic. Once I have created the forms I save them as a pdf. I then enter the information relating to the patient then save the pdf. However, when I send this pdf form to other people the form they open in blank. Can someone please let me know how to make save the information I enter into a form that have created in FormCentral and saved as pdf. I don't have any requirements for others to complete the forms I create. Just want to save my info. Thanks!

You need to find out what devices and apps or programs are being used to view the PDFs.
Many mobile apps that can read basic PDF documents cannot process PDF forms and form fields.

Now I have to create the form using this pdfSource. How can we achieve this?

We are trying to implement workflow, without using ESS MSS or Guided procedure. So once one user has filled and submit the form. We have to generate the same form with data for other user.
I know, we can extract the data and save it in a table, and then again set it for another user. But its a bit lengthy procedure
Thats why, we are trying to generate the form using pdfSource.

I am trying to create a form that have 3 fields:

2. ename
3. effective_date
I done all the necessary setup of BADI ,class, interface and form.
I need the step to step guide where you create the adobe form using the Design Time for Processes and Forms. Anyone have any idea?

What do you mean by step by step procedure for a design time & process for forms.
if you are a beginner and looking for basic examples to implement adobe forms there are lot of them in SDN, please search them.

Hi All,
I am new in Adode Interactive Forms ABAP. I am trying to implement a simple scenario using Web Services published by RFC on ABAP side and simple form with one field MATNR to bring a Description MARKT, and button to call the Web Services. I configured ADS on Server, installed Adobe LifeCycle 8 and SAP GUI 7.1. I created the Adobe Form and it was actived.
My issue is, when a run the program to generate a PDF, using the FMu2019s 'FP_JOB_OPEN'
, 'FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME', CALL FUNCTION i_funcname, the Adobe Forms was created with disables fields. I canu2019t fill it and canu2019t press the button to call WS on ECC.
Could you help me?

When you say the example ran successfully is it without any error messages..?
Did you check in spool "SP01" if there something sitting out there.
To my understanding PDF rendring is dependent in 2 aspects.
1) the output device type you select (this should be a PDF enabled printer)
2) Programatically if you say it should go to a printer or spool.
Just try with FP_TEST_00 either in sfp or SE38 and try both print preview and print.
in print priview it should display the PDF on the screen.
In print it should display as success message and in spool it should have the corresponding PDF. if both are working fine then the ADS and output device config are correct and it all depends on how do you handle the PDF output.
Just try the above approach and post the results,

How can i create validation Checks in Online Adobe Form

Hi Gurus
i am trying to create Online Adobe form.how can i do the validation checks while the user enter the values in Adobe form (For Ex: lets take personnel Number if the end user enter the personnel number it must go and check the Data base table , if its right personnel number then processes next value or if its not right personnel number then it must show the error message). please help me.

HI Reddy,
I think you can use either 'Submit' button or web service for the validation. When we use the web service then it will work in offline mode also(user has to be on intranet - either via remote connectivity using VPN or office network) .
if you are going for 'Submit' and If you want to validate the number when the user enter value, then write the code in 'Exit' event .
Write the below code in the event.
ContainerFoundation_JS.SendMessageToContainer(event.target, "submit", "", "", "", "");
This code will trigger the submit event in the web Dynpro component.

Create N adobe interactive forms ????

Hi everybody,
I want to know if there is someone who can tell me if is possible to create x adobe forms depends of a x variable??. My situation is like this: I have a webdynpro app., this app retrieves information from r3 (a table of customers), for all these customers I need to send an email with an adobe form attached (with different information, like the table). Now I can't be able to send several emails with the attached file, because I can't create more than one adobe form in runtime. I only can send one by one (to send the different adobe)....and it is not a good solution
Can anyone help me with any idea....

My problems is because I'm creating the Adobe forms from Webdynpro...and the controller (who is in charge about the creation of the pdf objects) don't let me made many instances of the form or maybe I don't know how to do it. I have a table with a list of data, I need to create differents pdf forms such as rows in the table...now the webdynpro application only creates one pdf, with the data of the first row.... =(

Calling adobe form from webdynpro abap view

Hi,
I need some help. The situation is: I have created a Adobe form interface as well as a form using the SFP transaction. Now, I have a webdynpro screen with a button, which upon pressed must give the output of the PDF form.
I tried the following steps:
1. Call function 'FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME'
2. Call 'FP_JOB_OPEN'
3. Call the generated function module name
4. Call FP_JOB_CLOSE.
The procedure works fine when I use the same code in a report program. It opens a dialog box where there is a option for Print preview and it displays the PDF.
But when I try to replicate the same, it does not work in Webdynpro for ABAP. Any suggestions as to how to go about this problem?

there is documentation on the Web Dynpro for ABAP integration of Interactive Forms in the SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/aa/940ee5331b4b8fa0a6cb6714dc5db4/frameset.htm which should answer most of your questions.
You specify the form to be used during the design of your Web Dynpro application (you are prompted to determine it when you insert the UI element).
You can save the form from the Reader toolbar, the question would be why would you want to do this and not use a proper download screen.
