Documentation on DataSource 3EC_CS_1A ?

I am looking for documentation on DataSource 3EC_CS_1A.
I have reviewed OSS note 381626 and it mentions: "Refer to the onLine documentation for the Business Content and to the extractors for EC-CS for more detailed information on the new extractor."
When I look at the latest BI content documentation I don't find any documentation on the 3EC_CS_1A DataSource. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

"No Fiscal Year Variant assinged to consolidation unit" error for 3EC_CS_1A

Hi,
I'm getting following extraction error using RSA3 for datasource 3EC_CS_1A in R3 (4.7) system. Could someone shed some ideas on how to fix it.
No fiscal year variant assigned to consolidation unit 0000000000000000XX.
same error is coming for all consolidation units.
I checked ECMCT table and it has records in it.
I went to "Consolidation unit change" using CX1N and found out that above consolidation unit has our customer defined "standard fiscal year variant assigned" for the corresponding ledger listed in ECMCT.
What else might be missing & how to fix it. same error in both DEV & QAS. Appreciate any inputs

I checked T009 and see that fiscal year variants are maintained. K4 as well as "customer defined standard fiscal year variant". what else might be missing.

I have been working on this 3ES_CS_1A datasource for a while, still can't get it going even with the fiscal period input as instructed from your method below, I am wondering if I have missed anything else that are required as input. After entering the specific fiscal format then the "Errors occurred during the extraction
" error screen is prompted.
We are implementing BW 7.0, currently on SP09 with BI 7.0 content installed, I have generated all the datasources 3EC_CS_1, 3EC_CS_1A and R via T-Code "FCIWCU00 - Generate DataSources ".
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Data Reconciliation Scenarios
In general there are four possible data reconciliation scenarios that can be applied in a
system in order to reconcile the data between SAP source systems and SAP BI. In
addition, depending on the application area (CO, FI, SD, MM etc), some special
reconciliation scenarios are available.
1 Reconciliation DataSource
The reconciliation DataSource is a DataSource which SAP delivers as standard business
content for data reconciliation purposes. In the documentation on DataSources, a
reconciliation DataSource is mentioned that can be used for reconciliation with the
original DataSource. Alternatively the documentation describes how to design a data
reconciliation scenario for the relevant DataSource.
2 Generic DataSource with Database View or InfoSet
If no reconciliation DataSource is available in the standard business content it is
sometimes possible to create a customer-specific reconciliation DataSource from a
database view, table or InfoSet in transaction RSO2.
Since the extraction of the data reconciliation DataSource is performed remotely, it is
necessary to keep the volume of data transferred as low as possible. This process is
thus not suitable
1. If the volume of data to be extracted and transferred cannot be reduced effectively
2. If the data that the original DataSource provides is not saved in a database table
(e.g. calculated key figures).
3 Generic DataSource with Function Module
With this scenario it is possible to reproduce complex extraction logic so that the data
attained is suitable for the data reconciliation. You can also restrict the volume of data to
be transferred using data aggregation.
If the extraction logic of the original DataSource is highly complex, there is a danger that
errors can creep into the extraction logic, leading to incorrect results in the reconciliation
DataSource. Thus this scenario is only recommended for experienced developers. It is
not appropriate if no suitable data can be prepared for the data reconciliation due to
complex extraction logic in the original DataSource.
4 Direct Access to the DataSource
If none of the scenarios mentioned above are applicable, data reconciliation can be
performed using direct access to the DataSource. Dependent on the design, not all
DataSources allow direct access. This property is stored in the virtcube field in table
roosource. If 'D' is entered in this field direct access cannot be performed. Otherwise
direct access is possible, but the runtime depends on the volume of data that must be
read and transferred from the database.
In order for direct access to function properly, the technical design of the system
(processor, memory) must enable the user to make a meaningful selection.
Since the original DataSource is applied as the reconciliation DataSource in this
scenario, any inconsistencies in the administration of the delta queue can be identified.
On the other hand, there is also the danger that some system errors may not be
identified, so this scenario should only be applied for data reconciliation purposes on a
limited basis.

LO cockpit extraction differnce between 2LIS_11_VAHDR     2LIS_11_VASTH

I have a doubt reg LO cockpit extraction(LBWE)
1. The SD extractors like
   2LIS_11_VAHDR     Sales document header
   2LIS_11_VAITM     Sales document item
   2LIS_11_VASCL    Sales document schedule line
   2LIS_11_V_ITM Allocation of order item/delivery item
   2LIS_11_V_SCL Allocation of order schedule line/     delivery item and so on ...............
But when i check the latest business content I dont find these Data sources under the below linketc.

2. Instead I find 4 data sources as below

Can I assume that these data sources (in 2) are replaced by the datasources(1) If not could you please let me know where can I find the documentation for
datasources in (1)

Error "Non-permitted posting period 013"

Hi expert
When I try to load the data with datasource 3EC_CS_1A, I get the error "Non-permitted posting period 013".
This Datasource request input Fiscal Year/Period before load data, I input Fiscal Year/Period from 2000001 to 2011012 and get above error.
If I input fiscal Year/Period from 2000001 to 2010012, datasource load OK
I checked datasource in ERP (TCODE RSA3) with Fiscal Year/Period from 2000001 to 2011012 is datasource have 90 records (sucessfull)
I don't know why datasource has loaded fail with Fiscal Year/Period from 2011 to now.
I checked in OB29, Fiscal Year Variant config for Period from 001 to 016.
Please help me solve this problem.

Go to Rsa1 in BI -
> Source system -
> select the source system and right click -
> Transfer Global Settings -
> then select Fiscal Year Varients and execute.
now the changes made in your source system will be added to your system.
after that refresh the system and start loading the data. hope your error will be solved.

Error RSM2 704 and RSAU 101 and RSAU 509

Hello, I am loading EC-CS with infosource 0EC_CS_1 and datasource 3EC_CS_1A. While loading the last infopackage with date range 2004005-9999999, I receive an error RSM2 704 -- "data records for package 16 selected - 1 error(s)". It tells me to correct the record in the PSA, but I am not sure what field to fix. Additional error messages include: RSAU 101 - "Record 1: internal error occurred with time split" and RSAU 509 - "Record 1: error occured in time split". The time period is set to 2005000 and there are other records with that same time period which do not produce and error. Any insight into this issue would be appreciated.

In OSS wit keyWord "RSAU 509" I found note 582196 thas has a description that seems suitable: "Error with time split (time distribution); RSAU509". Try to see if it's the solution to your problem.

Data Sources (Tomcat) - mysql

I tried setting up a Data Source in Tomcat to use a mysql driver, but couldn't get it to work (my Servet wasn't able to find it using a context lookup). I got told by someone that Tomcat had a problem with Data Sources.
So I placed the mm.mysql.jar file into Tomcat's /common/lib/ and am now using the drivers directly like this;

LIS (Extract Structure to Datasource) Documentation

Hi
Does anyone have any good documents that explain the relationship with the LIS and the extract structures etc.
I understand that they are predefined Extract structure from (LIS) and if you add more fields then you must do ABAP too to make sure these are filled.
As per my post yesterday I originally thought that as the fields were in the main table in SAP anyway then it would just be a case of just adding them to the extract strucuture in SBIW.
This now seems worng

3EC_CS_1A ECCS Consolidation DataSource does not extract Equity Method

In note 370048/588176 - Difference between database list and group reports.
For Posting level "00" The note says "Not included are Equity method or
Mutual stock method"(Tcode - CXM1).
In the ECC system they have a way to turn this function off to report on this Equity method consolidation units. Is there a work around for the BW extraction as well to extract the equity method consolidation units into BW?
Has anyone created Generic extractors on the ECMCT table?

Unable to use Datasource.cfc in Admin API - The current user is not authorized to invoke this method

Hi Everyone,
I am having some issues accessing the methods in the datasource.cfc in the adminAPI.
I can successfully load the administrator CFC and am told that I have successsfuly logged in;
But when I try to subsequently load the datasource.cfc I get an error that the current user is unable to access the method.

I've found a solution to my plight - I don't know if it'll work for you or help you try something that MAY fix it.
I use a common code set which includes the Application.cfc from a CF Mapping - So, in the application.cfc in the actual website I do this:-
<cfinclude template="/UberDirectory/Application.cfc">
Then, in the /UberDirectory/Application.cfc, I was initialising a CFC which checks if the datasource was created for the website. The datasource checking code attempts to log into the Admin API and check & create if necessary the datasource.
This has previously worked without fail for me - But in this instance it failed!! I was doing two things wrong - Firstly, the CFC should only be called in the Application.cfc in the onRequestStart section as the Application had to be initialised first - This is maybe because I've invoked the application.cfc in a "non-standard" manner.
Secondly, once I'd moved the CFC invocation into oNRequestStart I saw the following error:-
The string COOKIE.CFAUTHORIZATION_uber-directory is not a valid ColdFusion variable name.
I had this as the app name .... <cfset this.name = 'uber-directory'>
Changedthe dash to an underscore and I was away and could once again check the datasources

DataSource for FAGLFLEXT and BSEG, or New Table in ECC6?

need to create an extractor to have all the information of FAGLFLEXT, because we need to keep the ledger information and the split of the information. However, we need to add 13 fields contained in BSEG.
Therefore we thought to reads the line items table FAGLFLEXA, and then enhace it throught BSEG table.
However, since we are using ECC6 and BI7. It is not support the creation of DataSources for FAGLFLEXA throught FAGLBW03.
Is it an option to incorporate all fields into FAGLFLEXT.
Can we creat a new table group based on FAGLFLEXT, and then adding the coding block extensions to that table -
how does new g/l and the new table group work in parallel? Which is the procedure to do it?
Documentation says we can create a new table group based on FAGLFLEXT --- its the how does it work in conjuction part...for example...the new g/l handles document splitting and one other thing georg referenced last night...will the split documents go into our new table group?
BSEG does not have the document splitter information that we need (it's incomplete data). It's missing profit centers on many items, it's missing the proper split of transactions.

Client situation: Our client is implementing ECC 6 and is using the "New-GL" features. Because of business requirements, the coding block has been extended (not insignificantly - 18 extra fields at the moment) to accommodate legal, regulatory and management reporting. The reporting solution includes standard ECC reporting (e.g. report writer, report painter reports) as well as feeds to BW (BI 7).
The Challenge: Our understanding is that adding all of the coding block extensions to the New-GL tables (ie. FAGLFLEXA and FAGLFLEXT) may lead to performance degradation in the ECC system. However, we still need to accommodate the requirement to report by the additional dimensions that are not currently included in the New-GL, so our challenge has been to find a solution that minimizes performance issues, while still allowing us to have all the necessary dimensions with which to do the required reporting.
What we would like to know: How have you handled this in similar situations?
Have you added to the New-GL tables? How many fields? Performance issues encountered?
Have you created additional table group(s) based on the New-GL and then modified that structure to have the new fields? How does the additional table group work co-incident with New-GL (e.g. does the additional table group receive document splitting information?)?
Have you created custom extractors for BW? On what basis (we understand that FAGFLEXA cannot be created as a datasource to feed BW)?

Hide fields in datasource....

Hi,
In the datasource 2LIS_02_ITM , I have 2 hided fields.
when I check the Extract Structure , these fields are part of
INCLUDE and not Append Structure.
In order to get the data for these fields do I need to write the
ABAP code.
Or just unhiding them would be enough??
Any suggestion/documentation link would be helpful.

Hi,
here i am giving the steps to enhance the datasource.
1. go to-> RSA6 selece ur datasource & click on the push button enhance extract structure
2. the system will propose a extract structure name which will prifix with ZA accept it
3. in the next screen enter the field name & componant type, make sure that the field name will start with ZZ.
4. save the structure & activate it.
5. now again go to RSA6
6. select the data source & say change. scroll to the bottom thr u will find ur field, by default hide option is selected, remove it flag the appropreate option & save it.
Up to here we added the field successfully.
Now we need to populate the field with data.
this needs the ABAP programme.
Sap provides sap enhancement RSAP0001.
You need to provide following information to ur ABAP colegue.
Datasource name
Extractstructure name
field name
table name
Infosource name.
He will write the functionmodule.
