What is a part of customzing tha allow to create attachments in a system EBP.
Thanks for your help.

  • How to transfer historic document attachments while migrating BP masterdata

    Hi,
    Hope one of you might have encountered such a situation. We have host of customer masters in legacy which has customer specific documents attached. While migrating the data from legacy to standalone CRM, is there an easy way to migrate these document attachments automatically into the 'Document' view of the CRM ?
    We are installing standalone CRM 5.0 version
    Your inputs will be highly appreciated.
    Many thanks

  • Can't send document attachments from Mail to iPhone

    ...well I can but not very well.... When using Gmail IMAP to sync everything, document attachments sent from Mac Mail to iPhone mail arrive as a bit of mess.. i.e. not as attachments but as text within the email itself, plus lots of garbled numbers and letters. Strange because if I send the same message from the iPhone back to itself or from webmail-Gmail it works fine. Its also just fine with photos and Pdf's. Help!

    No, sorry. false alarm.
    I just received a message, sent by Apple Mail 2.1.2 from OS 10.4.11, through POP, to an email-forwarding address, to my imap-gmail, and received from there (by IMAP) with Mail 2.1.2, too.
    Details of what got garbled below, just to say that sending the email not to the forwarding address but directly to [email protected] did not help either.
    the email was constructed like so:
    - some text, readable.
    - an attached PDF, space characters in name. this entire pdf was just printed in the email, meaning the postscript code and what have you.
    - some more text, that was still readable
    - an attached image that was probably pasted into the email, the name was "pastedGraphic.png". The image survived.
    - text, readable.
    - another PDF, raw contents printed into email body.
    - a zip file, spaces in name, made with the built-in archive maker of Tiger. Also here, the entire 'source code' of the zip is printed in the body copy.
    - some final bits of text. readable.
    On another computer, this email was not routed through a gmail account and was received by POP. not a single problem there. In fact, not ever.
    This is not very cool

  • Can you save R/3 documents (attachments to sales orders) in KM?

    We have R/3 version 4.6c and KM version 2004.  We would like to have R/3 Sales Order document attachments that are currently stored in the Knowledge Provider - Document Management System to be stored in a NetWeaver 2004 KM Repository.  Has anyone done this? or know how to configure this?

    Tracy, I am not sure if you can store the document attachments in KM but using the KM DMS Connector you can access them from portal KM.

  • FAST JDBC Connector with documents/attachments

    Hi, we are using FAST database connector for crawling/indexing a Oracle database, from the docs we didn't find sample of crawling documents stored in Oracle. We created a Python script to do that but the problem is, only one document can be crawled/indexed
    to FAST, and we are using DATA property to store.
    I'd like to know is how to crawl documents/attachments in JDBC connector by leveraging document processor and how we map to FAST managed properties?
    Thank you.

    Hi JOSHUA,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to use FAST JDBC connector for crawling/indexing documents/attachments stored in an Oracle database.
    You can use the following string to connect to the Oracle database:
    jdbc:oracle:thin:@<YourServerHere>:1521:<YourDataBaseNameHere>
    Where:
     •<YourServerHere> is the Oracle server host name
     •<YourDatabaseNameHere> is the name of the source database that you are connecting to

  • Tables of Document Attachments to BP

    Hi friends,
    Do you have any ideas about the table which stores  the document attachments to BP.
    Early reply would be appreciated .
    Thanks in advance.
    Kumar

    Kumar,
    Instead of trying to read the table use the following ABAP class:
    CL_CRM_DOCUMENTS
    You can search this forum for some coding examples on how to use this function module.
    This thread gives a basic example:
    Activity Mgmt - Attachment
    The business object type should be BUS1006
    The instance id should be the partner number of the business partner.
    Take care,
    Stephen

  • PO -document attachments file size

    All,
    We have extended classic scenario.  One PO is in ordered status and it contains nearly 30 attached documents.
    When we tried to attach one more PDF document (example test.pdf) we get a dump.
    But the same document can be attached to another PO, which has less number of documents.
    Is there any limitation of number of documents can be attached to a PO?
    Is there any limitation of total size of all the attached documents for a given PO?
    Thanks
    srigant

    Per standard, you might upload a maximum of 5MB size for attachments
    If you like to upload the files more than 5MB, you can use CFOLDERs. And do not upload attachments in a normal way which are greater than 5MB.
    Max, 5 MB size is for one attachment and not the sum of attachments
    size. this size limit is only valid when customer's use ITS 620 with SRM 4.0 and not for ITS 640 with SRM 5.0 onwards. for SRM 5.0 with ITS 640 customer can upload upto 75MB attachment.  Secondly for ITS 620 aswell, the size limit can be extended by changing a parameter setting in ITS as a modification by customers. there is no restriction in the total attachment size in one SRM  document. The limit is concerned only for each attachment.
    If these information doesn't help, you can create a SAP ticket to report this dump.

  • Word document attachments garbled

    When I try to send a Word document to users outside of my ISP they come through as "noname" This does not happen with TextEdit files or with pdf files. It also doe snot happen when sending attachments to other users in my ISP (Road Runner). The folks at Road Runner insist that I have a virus. I ran a virus scan with the most recent virus defs and nothing showed up. I repaired permissions and repaired the hard drive -- no problems found.I have tried using the extension, not using the extension, clicking to open, opening from within the application and it's always the same result. This is what appears at the top of the "noname" file (titled "test file" when sent):
    --Apple-Mail-2-863040009
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
    Content-Type: application/applefile;
    name=test file
    Content-Disposition: attachment;
    filename="test file"
    A string of letters, mostly A's
    --Apple-Mail-2-863040009
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
    Content-Id: <[email protected]>
    Content-Type: application/octet-stream;
    x-mac-type=5738424E;
    x-unix-mode=0644;
    x-mac-creator=4D535744;
    name=test file
    Content-Disposition: attachment;
    filename="test file"
    More computer gibberish.
    I can receive with no problem. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

    "It's a virus" can sometimes be loosely translated as "I don't know."
    It could easily be that the Word documents are getting stripped by intervening SMTP servers or firewalls, or by anti-spyware or anti-virus tools. Word documents are common mechanisms for transmitting malware and thus a common target for filtering; the whole family is a particularly hazardous form of file as it can easily contain executable code.
    What you're showing are the MIME section headers of Base64 MIME-encoded mail. With the intervening text that comprises that part of the MIME message.
    The "gibberish" is the message text or the attachment, encoded using Base64. (Base64 is a way to get binary or arbitrary data converted into printable data for transmission, since most mail systems only deal properly with printable characters.)
    When you are sending the message (with Mail.app, I assume?), did you select the "Windows Friendly" option? You can set this Windows Friendly option on a per-message basis, or you can always select it via the (IIRC) Edit menu; to default it. It's generally safe to default it.
    I'd also suggest having the receiver extract the text of the mail message for a look. (If that wasn't the headers from the receiver that you were showing.)
    The MIME headers look to be missing the filename information, which could be the sending mail client, some filter or firewall, or something in the receiving software. A more typical header is:
    --Apple-Mail-2--31415926535
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
    Content-Type: application/applefile;
    name="whatever.doc"
    Content-Disposition: attachment;
    filename="whatever.doc"
    Have you tried sending the mail messages with another mail client? With Thunderbird, for instance.
    And as a test, when you receive the message with the noname file, extract it as you would normally, and name the created file noname.doc, and try opening it using catdoc, NeoOffice, OOo, or whatever you're using to read that file format. (There seem to be a few tools around that will open .doc files.)

  • How to cancell material document in decentralized scenario

    Dear All,
    How to cancel material document in a decentralized WM (WMS)??? I know that in a centralized scenario I should use MBST or VL09. Is there any solution?
    I would be grateful if you help me.
    Piotrek

    Dear Piotr ,
    If you want to cancel/reverse material document posted , you will enter into MBST and reverse it only.
    For goods issues with delivery use VL09 as you have mentioned.
    Other solution is enter material without referente , but you can have problem with traceability if you control receipts in your enterprise, because you have done one receipt without purchase documents.
    And to finish you can adjust your stock doing an inventory document and adjust stock.
    Best regards,
    Carlos Moçatto

  • Problems with document attachments

    I generally look at email as web mail. When senders send me Word documents they often don't show up as separate attachments. A strange detail is that the total size of the message, e.g., 120 KB, shows that the document is there somewhere, but is not visible.
    By contrast, .rtf files always work: they show up clearly.
    I would appreciate any thoughts, thank you in advance.

    Hi Karri,
    Believe what you are looking  at is a direct translation of Open XML Documents (.DOCX) to HTML, enabling access to the information in the Open XML format from any platform with a Web browser i.e, Document viewer in this case.A plug-in for Firefox, IE7 and IE8 is available  that allows users to view Open XML documents (.DOCX) within the browser on Windows and Linux platforms.
    Trust the below link will aid you resolve this:

  • Error in "Reading the Accounting document Attachments"

    Hi all,
    I have a requirement to read the attachments from the accounting document. I am using below Function Modules.
    BDS_BUSINESSDOCUMENT_GET_URL
    , to get the link of the attachments  based on the object key.
    DP_GET_STREAM_FROM_URL
    , To get the content based on the link. This is throwing a dumb.
    Here, i have tried with another set of Function Modules. But None is working.
    ARCHIV_CONNECTINFO_GET_META
    , To fetch details about attachments
    SCMS_AO_TABLE_GET
    , to get binary content.
    Propose any Function Modules if used in this regard.

    Hi Rajesh,
    please check here [ALE/IDoc Interface: Application Scenarios|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/af/7e844367c24d4a950df3205052769d/frameset.htm]
    and here [Electronic Data Interchange / IDoc Interface (SD-EDI)|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/af/1210377eff2e7ae10000009b38f889/frameset.htm] for a more technical look at the topic.
    Depending on the industry you work in you might also want to take a look at the scenario documentation in the best practices section of the respectiv industry that also include information on the exchange of documents: [SAP Best Practices|http://help.sap.com/]
    -> industry package
    -> industry xx
