Documents created on my iPhone or iPad go into iCloud with no problem. Why can't I get the documents created on my MacBook Pro to go into iCloud?
Documents created on my iPhone or iPad go into iCloud with no problem and I can then access those documents from any of my "toys". However, documents created on my MacBook Pro do not go into iCloud, and as such, they are not accessable from my iPhone or iPad. How can I get the documents created on my MacBook Pro to go into the cloud?
Reset iCloud sync state
On Mac:
Close open applications
Open a Finder window
Choose “Go to Folder…” from the “Go” menu
Enter “~/Library/Application Support/”
Find the folder named “Ubiquity” and move it to the Trash
Restart your computer

I have a lot of Smart Playlists on iTunes and when I sync my devices the playlists names match, but the content doesn't. Each device has different songs inside the playlists. Not even the number of songs match in most of the playlists. What's the problem??
The most likely reason for that error is that your hard drive is corrupt and thus the download is not getting expanded properly. Restart the computer and hold down command-R as soon as you hear the chime, which will cause your computer to boot into recovery mode. Once there, open Disk Utility and repair the hard drive. If it succeeds, restart normally and try updating again. If it can't repair, you can try a utility like DiskWarrior, but if the damage is that bad the system may be damaged, so you should consider erasing the hard drive and reinstalling everything from scratch.

I liked the idea of this app so I went looking for it and have now installed it on my Mac, iPhone and finally my iPad.
This app, although it will run on the iPad is actually an iPhone/iPod app, as suggested above. So the only way to get it on my iPad was to search for it as an iPhone app in the App Store app on my iPad. Then it came up as an app that I could install on the iPad. -

Unless there is a specific Mac OS X version you won't be able to run it on your computer.

Why can't anybody get the photos I send them from my Iphone 4s? I've sent it to blackberries, iPhone 3G, and other phones - nothing has been able to get them!
Do you get a send error message or a red "!" when you send? Do you have a data plan on your account? Check that your carrier has you provisioned for MMS.

This morning I updated to iTunes 10.4. and also updated Pages on my MacBook (SL 10.6.8) to version 4.1. My iDevices are all recognized in iTunes and all is going fine except for this one thing. I created a Pages document on my Mac and I sent it to my iPad using file sharing with iTunes. I edited and finished the document on the iPad and then used the "send to iTunes" feature and prepared to sync back to my Mac. The document appears to transfer over - and I have tried sending it over again and again - but it never appears in the file sharing Pages documents window after I sync. When I try to send it from the iPad again, the device tells me that the document already exists and asks if I want to replace it, so it must be transferring somehow but I don't see it in the window.
This only started after I updated both applications. I've been using Pages and file sharing without any issues at all until now. The really ironic thing is that I can create a Word document on my Mac, send it to the iPad, edit it there and send it back to iTunes and it appears in the window like you would expect - but my Pages documents do not. Word documents work fine but not Pages documents? Documents created on the iPad seem to be going back and forth fine but not Mac created files.
I've tried everything I can think of, restarting disconnecting the iPad reconnecting the iPad, hard reset .... Any ideas? Is there something that I am missing? Anybody else experience this?Just thought I'd add my solution, I decided to go with WebDAV and I think it actually works better than the iTunes way, the steps are pretty much the same but avoiding the iTunes interface just makes things easier and faster.
I followed this guide but it does have a small mistake in the httpd-dav.conf file, on line 2, where it's WebServer/WebDAV">, it should be <Directory "/Library/WebServer/WebDAV">.
The tricky part is setting permissions which if wrong will give you errors when connecting with the iPad, I opted to set all to Read&Write since my home network has a hardware firewall. Another convenience was to add an alias to the webdav share on the Desktop.
I'm still expecting the call from Apple but even if they fix the iTunes I'm sticking with WebDAV, atleast until I see what's new with iOS5 and iCloud this fall which should bring true sync for documents (I'm hoping that they will offer encryption with my own keys, if not, then I'll probably keep using WebDAV). -
Essentially, I am having issues getting photos that I save on my iPhone or iPad to automatically appear on my MacBook's iPhoto app (and vice versa). The iPad and iPhone automatically share all photos between each other. I have iCloud set up and all of the photo sharing options selected on all devices, so that's not the issue. I used a bit of a workaround and created and shared a custom stream, which ultimately works. However, it involves a lot of moving photos around on all three devices, so I'd like to get the Photostream service working the way it's intended by getting the default Photostream connected to my iCloud account automatically syncing among all three devices.

However, depending on when a device joined the iCloud feature and started receiving the MPS it will not see any that were added more than 30 days from the date of joining. So if your MBP signed into iCloud and the MPS feature later than the other 2 devices it will not see photos that they might. Also if you've turned off My Photo Stream on the MPB and then added it back it will only see the last 30 days worth. -
i can't download or update free apps on my ipad or iphone. i can log in to my i-store account on my laptop and download stuff. when i try on the iphone or ipad i keep getting apple ID disabled message. i had to enter in my account and new password to get to this community site so the password is working. but when i enter the updated password on the iphone or ipad i keep getting...apple ID disabled. thanks
When you try to update the app, is the Apple ID that comes up the same as the Apple ID in Settings>iTunes & App Store?
Have you tried any troubleshooting steps? e.g. log in on another device, reset password etc. -

I have an iPhone 5 but just got an iPad air for Christmas. I didn't realize I set my iPad up under another Apple ID until my phone was not syncing with my iPad so I erased all content and reset the device to put them both on the same Apple ID. The problem I'm having now is the apps that are supposed to be free like iPhoto and iMovie are saying I have to pay 4.99 for them how do I fix this problem. Cause I did have them installed when I had it set up under the other Apple ID name :(

A document open in the adobe reader but it is just a blank sceen. but I can print it and see what it says?

Hi. I have a iPhone 4 connected to a Yahoo email account. I used to be able to see the emails sent from the device on the sent mailbox and the emails sent from the MacBook Pro on an automatically created folder called "Sent Messages" that disappeared. I tried deleting the account and creating it again, both on the computer and on the iPhone, but the problem persists. Any idea on how I can solve this problem?
On your Mac
in your Mail App, open the folders on the left hand side, by clicking SHOW on top.
GO down, where your email acount is and unfold.
Select the SENT folder. If you cant find it, it means it's already used as your SENT folder. Skip next step.
In Mail App Menu select MAILBOX -> USE THIS MAILBOX FOR -> SENT
Maybe that does the trick?

Any way to "save" edited photos in iPhotos as you progress?
I am new to the Mac environment and wanted to know how to manually "save" edits as you do them. I want to have the option to "go back" to an already saved photo, in case I mess up while trying to modify or touch up a photo. I have been working on a p
