Hi Imran,
This may sound familiar, but the best place that I keep using and recommending to all is
http://service.sap.com/rkt-solman
You have to supply your S user ID and password.
Once inside, you may select Solution Manager 4.0 and under the relevant headings, you'd find quite a lot of PDF and SAP Tutor files.

  • No users are shown for Service Desk in SOLMAN for satellite systems

    Hello!
I would like to set up the business partners for Service Desk in SAP Solution Manager.
If I choose the solution and execute "Edit --> Create Business partner" for the SAP R/3 4.7 then I get the warning “no users are shown under the system”.
If I log onto the satellite system and make some changes in su01 or pfcg the situation does not change.

  • No users are shown for Service Desk functionality in SOLMAN  4.0

    Hello!
I would like to set up the business partners for Service Desk in SAP Solution Manager.
If I choose the solution and execute "Edit --> Create Business partner" for the SAP R/3 4.7 then I get the warning “no users are shown under the system”.
For the SAP SRM 5.0 I get only one user (SOLMAN<SID><CLNT>), meanwhile I set the data selection to blank.
I also copied the user account of  SOLMAN<SID><CLNT> to the user test with no success.
I have assigned the Object S_RFC_ and S_USER_GRP.
The users have also the profile SAP_ALL.
How can this problem be solved?

    Hi,
    Answering your question!
Ans. 1. Either user should have SAP_ALL + S_RFC.. it is very important to have S_RFC object. SAP excluded S_RFC from SAP_ALL for the security reason.
or , any user should have authority to create and delete users + S_RFC, S_RFCACL & S_T-CODE.. I just did my setup, so I remember after searching for long long....
    Ans. 2. you need the following RFC's for sattelite system;
    >>> SM_<SID>CLNT(CLIENT#)_READ
    >>> SM_<SID>CLNT(CLIENT#)_TRUSTED
    >>> SM_<SID>CLNT(CLIENT#)_TMW
you should see them in solman sm59.... make sure you use proper user with proper OBJECT. other wise, u'll see bunch of dumps every hour.. Let me know if you need any other help!!
    Thanks,
I hope this will fix your problem

  • How to Setup Service Desk and CHARM in Solu Man 4.0

    Hi Gurus
I am New to Solution Manager 4.0 and i want to setup Service Desk and Change Request Management for my client. Any one help me to guide where i can start and after configuring how the functionality of service desk and change request management.
Can anybody send the documents with screen shot how to configure and how it lokks after Configuration.
My client requirement is he wants to make Service desk as a ticketing tool and Charm as Change management tool
    Please help me
    Piont rewarded for solution
    Rajesh

    Hello
I have configured Ibase for Charm, i followed spro config info as follows:
Manually Create and Assign the Component Systems asiBase
In this IMG activity, you define the Installed Base (iBase) manually, that is for refreshing existing iBases after solutions have been changed.
An iBase component has to be created for each satellite system from which Service Desk messages will be sent to the SAP Solution Manager system.
For the Value Added Reseller (VAR), it is not absolutely necessary to manually define the iBase at this point. We recommend, however, that you carry out this step so that you have a functioning test scenario.
    Activities
    1. In transaction Change Installed Base (IB52), choose iBase No. 1 (SOL_MAN_DATA_REP).
    2. Create under the IBase Header (SOL_MAN_DATA_REP) an IBase component, for example the SAP component system (SAP WEB AS) or use an existing one.
    3. To assign the systems as iBase components, go to the Text item tab.
Three components are included in the standard package.
    4. Add all the satellite systems as text items to the table:
Column Short text: Description of the system
Column Identification: System ID, installation number, client
    5. Save.
After changes have been made to a solution, repeat these steps to update system landscape data for iBase.
    Note:
Every system is only listed once in the iBases. That means a system is not listed in an iBase if it has been listed in another iBase before.
If the identification is not entered correctly, the system cannot correctly identify the component from the incoming Service Desk message.
Its really good and I have set up the config in that way only.
    If useful reward the points.
    Thanks
    Regards
    Sharmishtha

  • Integration between IBM's 'eESM' help Desk and SolMan...??

    Hi All
Hopefully someone can help we with a answer..:-))
We are currently using IBM as external vendor to run our Service Desk.
They are using a system called 'Manange Now' (eESM) which we think
is about the worst help desk tool we have ever seen....!!! My question
is does anybody have experience with interfacing eESM and SolMan..??
IBM have just told me that currently it's not possible to interface the
2 systems and to my knowledge that's just not true...!!!
    Please advice..:-))
    Best regards
    Peter

    Dear Peter,
If you want to connect a third party product like a Remedy Call Tracking
System (Peregrine ServiceCenter) to the Service Desk, use the SAP
Business Connector. This is an infrastructure offer from SAP to export
messages to another call tracking systems. The SAP Business Connector
handles data structure mapping and output into the requested format
    (SMTP, HTTP).
The transfer of messages can be triggered by a scheduled background job
or initiated manually. The data structure for the export interface is
    determined by the SES/SIS standard.
Requirements for implementation at the customer site
    - SAP Solution Manager up and running
    - Background job scheduled in SAP Solution Manager for export data
    - SAP Business Connector (SAP BC) up and running
    - Import of a transport into SAP BC
    - Modification / adjustment of your call tracking system to enable case
creation based on data from SAP BC (third party consulting may be
    necessary)
For further details see SAP Note 529754 and follow this link :
    http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager -> "Functions in Detail" ->
"Support Area" -> "Message Handling Process"
Check the section "Interface between Service Desk and a Third Party Call
    Tracking System "
    Hope this information helps.

  • Delivery Document for Services

    Hello Experts,
I have a scenario which I am looking for an SAP solution. My client provides consultancy services and bills customers for it. At the beginning of the contract, customer gives a letter of intent (LOI) which authorised commencement of work. After work is completed, the customers signs a job completion form/service entry sheet, which is the basis on which the client can invoice the customer for the hours/days spent. Thinking along OTC, it looks to me that the  LOI could represent a sales order, but I am looking for a document to represent the job completion form/service entry sheet. Can we have a delivery document for services? Is there any other document that can perform the same function as delivery in this scenario? I think there has to be another document after the sales order that will represent the actual hours/days spent on the job which the invoice can reference in billing the client.
    Thanks for your prompt help.
    Luqman

Its part of Customer Service. And widely know as After Market.
Is very much integrated with SD as well as PS.
DP90 csan be used by PS & SD both.
Whereas, if your refer DP90, its purely based on Sales Document.
Refer following SAP Help link for reference/understanding:
    - [ Resource-Related Billing |http://help.sap.com/saphelp_dimp50/helpdata/en/59/54fc37004d0a1ee10000009b38f8cf/content.htm|also CS billing process]
Also refer, SAP Note 301117 - Enhanced documentation for dynamic item processor (DIP).
As DIP profile(TCode ODP1) is the critical part of RRB configuration.

  • Integration SAP Sol Man Service Desk and HP OV Service Desk

    Hi!
We have installed SAP SM 4.0 and we also use HP OV Service Desk 4.5.And now we want to integrate both this solution.
As I understand, the interaction is realised wia web interface
In pdf file "Incident Exchange Service between HP OpenView Service Desk 4.5 and SAP Solution Manager 4.0 Service Desk" I have read what needed interface (or service) is integrated to the HP OV SD. But our administrator of HP OpenView Service
Desk sad that where no this srvice.
Are anybody know how to integrate SAP Sol Man Service Desk and HP OV Service Desk?

Hello - the document is located at http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager - media library - technical papers - Service Desk WebServices API.
However, HP is CERTIFIED by SAP to connect to this SOAP interface - the only vendor so far (Remedy and Peregrine are in process.)  HP has tested this interface at SAP and recieved certification several months ago.
I would have your HP person escalate this issue higher in HP.

  • Proceeding document for service order

In the case of recall/upgrade for service industry, product service letter can be created as a proceeding document for service order. I used to 0CRM_SRV_PROCESS_H for the service order. The BI content ODS for service order header is 0CRM_PROH. It contains an infoObject for proceeding document 0CRM_PREDOC. But it is not mapped in the transformation.
    I have 2 questions:
    1. which source field should 0CRM_PREDOC be mapped to?
    2. is it possible to include produce service letter in regular service order? The object type for produce service letter is BUS2000210. I noticed only BUS2000116 (service order) is being extracted via 0CRM_SRV_PROCESS_H.
    Thanks,
    Jennifer

    Madhu,
I am sure you can create a follow-up transaction from a Service ticket to Service Order, All you have to make sure is the setting in IMG for Follow-up are active and right.
    Thanks

    Hi
transaction type can be any one it is upto you
if you are using transaction type SLFN then goto the action profile of that transaction type normally is slfn_advanced but it is again upto requirement
you get upto that by spro scenario sp settinsgs- service desk - define action profile - assign action profile to business transactoin type
here you can choose or double click slfn to see which action profile is assign to it now
in the same actioon profile create one action to trigger mail
you can check below sap stnd guide
