Hi,
All my Pages and Numbers documents on iCloud.com have suddenly become impossible to open. On iCloud.com (from IE10 or Google Chrome 40/Win 8) their file names appear scrambled (encrypted?) and if I try to open them I get this error message: "You have signed in to an iCloud account that doesn't have permission to open this documents". I can still open the files with Pages (2.5.2) and Numbers (2.5.2) on my iPad 2 (iOS 8.2). I haven't tried to access from my Macs.
I have tried to disconnect Pages on my iPad from iCloud, delete all files from Pages on iCloud.com, and reactivate the iCloud sync on my iPad. The files are uploaded but I still have the same problem.
I should say that I also cannot access my iCloud Drive ("Can't load iCloud Drive. There was a problem loading the application") or Photos (same error message).
The problem seems to be fairly recent as I have worked on my documents on iCloud.com for weeks without any problem (last successful access two days ago).
Since my last successful access I have updated my iPad to iOS 8.2 and modified a few Pages files from it.
Does anyone now what the problem might be?

I'm using Acrobat Reader version 7.0. It refused to open pdf files on my computer. The error message that was returned is There was an error opening this document. Permission denied. I own the files, with read (and write) permissions, and acroread is running with my user id.
I have tried deleting and re-installing the program, with no luck.

I am new to the sharepoint. I would like to create a public facing sharepoint 2013 site .
Main requirement is Administrator must login to site and create a documents in library. Those documents must visible to everyone. So that site must be public facing.
Please let me know step by step how to resolve it as I am new to this.

From your description, my understanding is that you want to let all users have permission to access a document.
The first method you could create a public facing site with method below:

Add your document into the home page: Click gear icon -> edit page -> INSERT tab in the Ribbon -> Web Part -> select your document -> Save.
The second method you could accomplish your requirement via manage your document permission:
1.
Enter your document library.
2.
Click Library Setting in the Ribbon.
3.
Click
Permissions for this document library under Permissions And Management section.
4.
Click Stop Inheriting Permissions in the Ribbon.
5.
Click Grant Permissions in the Ribbon.
6.
Enter everyone and choose view only as the screenshot below.
7.
Then users can access this document library via its URL(in my case it is:
http://sp/sites/sharepoint2013/Shared%20Documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx).

How to set permission to export PDF?

We developed plugin based on Acrobat XI SDK to save PDF as TIFF using example of AVConversionEnumFromPDFConverters
How can I set PDPermReqObjDoc document permission PDPermReqOprExport to "yes" to always allow conversion?

Our plugin converts PDF to TIFF automatically. How can we set option not to show pop-up dialog boxes, i.e. not to interact with user?
So far, we set kAVConversionNoFlags and for AVConversionConvertFromPDFWithHandler setting use:

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

By Document permission and library permission with stop inherent permission .
All user having site access with contribute permission .
Important
Site admin cannot do this all user have manage permission and upload file and assign permission .

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to assign different permission to the users when different user uploads documents to SharePoint.
I recommend to delete the permissions that you don’t need in the library permission, and then
create a workflow in SharePoint Designer to assign the different permission to the users with Impersonation Step.
Here are the detailed steps:
Open SharePoint Site in SharePoint Designer with the site collection administrator account, create a workflow associated with the library and set the workflow to start when an item is created.
Insert an Impersonation Step to the workflow.
Select If current item field equals value from Condition, then change the settings to be: If CurrentItem:Created By equals user1.
Select Add List Item Permissions to assign Read permission to user2, user3 and user4, and assign Full control to user5.
Repeat step3 and step to set the other conditions.

However we are receiving an error when attempting to enter data in the field which we have this edit. Error property: line through cannot be set because doing so would violate the document permission setting. any idea how we can get around this issue?

You can control which fields are locked down after signing by setting up a collection. Then those that are not locked can be changed after signing. If this is not possible, then the line outs must occur prior to signing.

Problem with Webi

I have been searching the forums, and while I have seen this issue posted before, I have yet to see a definitive resolution. I am hoping someone can help with this.
I have a user that is attempting to export a report from Webi to Excel, and receiving the following error:
Automation exception BusinessObjects server process raised an automation exception. (Error: BOMGR 0060) (myserver.mydomain.com) (returned by function Get Excel element) )
I saw a couple of suggestions regarding permissions, ensuring that the user has Save Documents permission in the full client, but this does not seem to have resolved the issue. I would be most appreciative of any assistance.

Can the problem stem from exceeding the maximum number of rows that an Excel spreadsheet can hold (in versions prior to Office 2007 the limit is 64K rows and 255 columns, however, in Office 2007 the limit is raised to 1M rows and 1,000 columns)?

Copy arch to new disk = screwy user permissons

I copied arch to a new disk today, using an ubuntu 10.04 live cd...
I've gotten my system up and running but it seems i'm having some user permission problems
startx wont start...
[ryan@psychicstate ~]$ startx
mktemp: failed to create file via template `/tmp/serverauth.XXXXXXXXXX': Permission denied
/usr/bin/startx: line 156: cannot create temp file for here-document: Permission denied
and sudo is broken
[ryan@psychicstate ~]$ sudo cp
sudo: must be setuid root
I should also note that I issued a #chown -R ryan /home/ryan/* thinking this would fix some things....

I typically go with a fresh install for this. A couple of tips:
1) Save important files in /etc like rc.conf, any xorg customizations, and anything else you may have tinkered with in there. I, personally, make routine saves to a seperate HD that I mount for backups.
2) Save all of the contents of /home/ryan to an external source and "copy" to the new /home/ryan after you have logged into the new system as ryan. Using copy this way will inherit the ownership of the current user who executes the copy command and avoid most (if not all) potential permissions/ownership issues.
3) You can copy the contents of /var/cache/pacman/pkg (assuming you haven't cleared this) to an external source as well and then copy to the new system. This will save you a bunch of time as the packages won't need to be downloaded when installing.

Unable to alter /tmp directory during Weblogic 10.3.3 install

I am installing on a 64 bit Linux server and each time I run the following command I get the message 'No space left on device'. Doing a df -k on Unix gives me /tmp at 100% full. I tried to change the path for the /tmp but it has not worked.
Any ideas please?

My workaround...
- Convert Vedio to SWF (using Media Encoder + Flash Pro or 3rd party utilities)
- Import the SWF Video to Acrobat
- In the "Edit SWF" -> "SWF" -> Select "Pass context menu click to SWF"
- Assign Document Permission to lock the setting
The playback control will pass to Flash Player, it will disable the "View in Floating Windows" and "Full Scrren MultiMedia"

It just dawned on me today...Another possible reason for not being able to add text markup is that your PDF file is a read-only or temporary file.
With Method 1 ("Using text selection"), if you only see the Copy option (no Highlight, Strikeout, Underline options) in the context menu, try saving a copy of the file.
Bring up the toolbars by swiping up from the bottom edge (Touch) or right-click with a mouse.
Tap/click the Save As button in the bottom toolbar to save a copy of the PDF document.
Bring up the toolbars again.
Check the top toolbar to see if a lock icon is displayed next to the document title.
If the lock icon is no longer visible (meaning that the new file is no longer read-only or temporary), you can now select text and add text markups.
If the lock icon is still visible in the top toolbar after saving a copy, it means that the PDF document permission disallows the document from being modified in any way (including adding text markups). You cannot get around the security restriction by saving a copy.

Adobe Reader 9 security

Ok Ive been working on a document as a freelancer and halfway through working I installed the new Adobe Reader 9. However now the security on the document has changed and I am not allowed to comment or anything any more on the document, which was allowed before. Why has this changed and how can I regain access to the document? This is now causing problems in my work and is delaying me.
Here is a screen shot of the document security. Why is the document security and document restrictions summary different?

A user is able to apply comments on a PDF using a free Adobe Reader because the author of the PDF document "Reader Enabled" the PDF using another Adobe paid service.
Looks like there is an incompatibility in the document permission settings when you switched from a lower Adobe Reader version to Adobe Reader9. [Is the document being used by you created quite some time back? Which reader version were you on before you switched to Adobe Reader9?]. This may happen because of some inherent incompatibility between older-new application. Besides, that might not necessarily be a problem just the result of applications getting more secure as they move forward
Is it possible for you to share this document for a closer look?
Another possible way out is if you could get hold of a more recent version of the PDF document floated by the author who could perhaps "reader enable & secure the PDF" using a more recent Adobe Acrobat version?
