Documents to go was not downloaded to my phone with 4.5 system update ? Therefore i cannot upgrade to enble me to edit word documents as promised in the download blurb. My phone is blackberry 8310 software v4.5.0.55 (just downloaded)

Then in the upgrade process, you failed to check the advanced settings to make sure DocumentsToGo was checked to load.
Reconnect your BB to the USB > Open Desktop Manager > Application Loader and click the update settings > Advanced and look for DocumentsToGo in the list and check them, and proceed with the prompts to upgrade. It will take a minute and may appear nothing is happening.

If the installation didn't finish, maybe OS X 10.8.3 was installed partially, and it doesn't show up because the updater already updated the OS X version to 10.8.3, although it doesn't mean that everything was installed and updated. Just to make sure that everything is updated to the version included in 10.8.3, reinstall it with the Combo installer > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1640

Most scanners default to Pictures folder or the Desktop.
If you select All My Files and Arrange by Date Added you should be able to find the file.
If you turn on Show Path bar and Show Status bar for your Finder Window under View in the Menu bar, when you select the file you will see the path of the file in the bottom of the Finder window.

you'll need to edit the security settings to install programs 'Mac App Store and identified developers'
Open the Systems Preference and go to Security & Privacy. There will be a section in the 'General' tab for 'Allow apps downloaded from:" The default selection is 'Mac App Store'. Change this setting to 'Mac App Store and identified developers".
This screenshot is taken on OS X 10.10 (Yosemite), so it may look slightly different if you're on a different OS X version.

I think you should use the new version for free turbotax. I have used turbo tax 2014 recently.

I noticed that you said you uninstalled the printer, but you didn't mention resetting the print system. Resetting the print system will reset the drivers the Mac has installed and make them work like they should. Give this a try and see if it gets the printer working like it should. The document below will expalin more about doing this.

If that doesn't help, see if you are using the AirPrint driver, or the printers driver. By default 10.8 uses the AirPrint driver if the printer supports it, so I'm betting that's the driver you're using. If it is, try using the driver for the printer itself. First, create a separate login on your computer for your friend. Do this BEFORE you do anything else. Next, make sure iTunes is up to date. Then:
1. Disable auto sync when an iPod/iPhone is connected under Preferences>Devices in iTunes.
2. Make sure you have one contact & one event in the supported applications(Address Book, iCal) on your computer. These entries can be fake, doesn't matter, the important point is that these programs not be empty.
3. Connect her phone, iTunes running, do not sync at this point.
4. Store>Authorize this computer.
5. File>Transfer Purchases(To make sure all purchased content on her phone will be in her itunes library).
6. Right click in the device pane & select reset warnings.
7. Right click again and select backup.
8. Right click again & select restore from backup, select the backup you just made. When prompted to create another backup, decline.
9. This MUST be followed by a sync to restore her itunes content, which you select from the various tabs, You'll get a popup regarding her contacts & calendars asking to merge or replace, select merge.
You should be good to go.

Try syncing the iPhone to iTunes. If it doesn't appear, then log in to your account and check Purchased.

When installing my new HP printer I received the following error message when I inserted the software install disk: "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer" with 2 radio buttons "Ignore" or "reject" I was able to eject the disk but the message remains. Now every time I start up the printer this error message pops up on my computer. I have since used the disk drive successfully for music CD's etc. How can I get rid of this message?

Zap the PRAM
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
