Docus about  3rd-party defined integration scenario: SAP Web AS u2013 SAP NW

Hi all,
we have an SAP integration solution which we want to get certified. We are interested in the third-party defined integration scenario: u201ESAP Web AS u2013 SAP Netweaver Application Serveru201C as similar products have this certification. Where can we find technical details/documents about this certification. Is there any sample scenario for this certification that we can use as a template.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Cheers
Jack

  • 3rd party adapter integration into XI

    Dear Experts
I wanted to know how 3rd party adapters are integrated into XI?

    Hi Dheer,
There many third party adapters available in market.
    One example is seeburger:
U need to follow the below steps for integration into XI:
For the same requirement you need to follow the below steps:
    1) First deploye the Std seeburger mapping provided by see burger on XI
    2) If you are using the AS2 adapter then you have to install the AS2 server on XI server.
    3) Once you install the std seeburger on SAP XI server you will see the AS2,X400,OFTPS,VAN adapter on XI ID.
    5) You need to call the std mapping in the adapter module which does the conversion from EDI to XML and XML to EDI.
if u need process then let me know I will send u the configuration threads which is required for integration.

    Brief about seeburger:
Seeburger adapters like OFTPS,AS2,X400 are used for B2B scenario where the file is coming through WAn network or mailbox. As XI dont have capability to convert the EDIFACT format file to XML the same work will be done by seeburger adapters.
The SEEBURGER Business Integration Converter (BIC) is an any-to-any format converter, used to translate EDI data and legacy data formats into XML and vice versa. It can also be used for complex, high performance XML-to-XML mappings or to interface to existing JDBC data sources.
    Supported EDI formats include:
    • ANSI
    • EDIFACT
    • INHOUSE
    • IDOC
    • XML Schema
    • XML DTD
    • CSV
    • Delimited Data
    • positional data
    • SWIFT
    • EANCOM
    and many more.
See for converting the EDI XML to EDI and XML-EDI you need to have a seeburger mapping program at the adapter module which does the conversion. For this module you need a BIC tool of seeburger which provides the different module program for EDI to XML and XML-EDI. This program needs to be deployed on XI and through adapter it has to be called for conversion.

  • 3rd party payment integration with ADF application

    Hi ADF experts,
We have a requirement to integrate our ADF application with 3rd party payment gateway.
For this we have created 2 servlets(one to post data, and one for relay response) which will talk to payment gateway.
Since we are using servelts, we wont have access to bindings or any of ADF features. We manage the handshake between servlets and ADF app by passing data through session variables.
I am not happy with this solution, even though it works in our test environment. I would prefer a complete ADF soultion rather than using servelts/jsps.
Is there a standard way(either inbuilt in ADF or extensions) to integrate 3rd party gateway with ADF application which is safe and secure?
    Jdev used: 11.1.1.1.5
    Payment gateway used: authorize.net
    thanks
    -Venkat

You can access adf application module from a servlet. All you have to do its to setup a pagedef for the servlet.Check out my blog http://tompeez.wordpress.com/2011/12/16/jdev11-1-2-1-0-handling-imagesfiles-in-adf-part-3/ Which shows how to do this.
I'm not aware of standard integration to a payment service.

  • Question about 3rd party Plug-ins....

Is it just me or does Logic have some SERIOUS issues with 3rd party AU? For example, I can run Logic with all its own plugins and instruments just fine but the second I go to use my FM7, Novation Bass Station, or impOSCar I start experiencing bugs, crashes, etc... I have the latest drivers for these items, but they just don't seem to want to work well with Logic. Anyone else have this problem or know of a better way to use 3rd party plugins like this more safely in logic? Like maybe installing them as VST's instead of AU and putting them in a VST wrapper for Logic? It's honestly almost impossible to work with any of these devices in Logic for me without causing continual crashes!!

why to pay for software then you can have a real thing?
i pay only for hardware cos software is never good it not worth more than a few bucks. I have imposcar and vstation and they work just fine i use vstation alot never had a crash. are you sure that there are these au's for tiger?

  • Third party POS Integration with SAP IS-Retail

    Hi,
I want to Integrate SAP ERP (Retail) system with a third-party POS system Using PI.
Could you please describe me what are the inbound and Outbound IDOC is used to integrate POS system.
Please Give me the IDOC name with functional details.
    Thanks
    Laxmi Bhushan

Outbound will depend on the POS system requirements and the master data maintained in ERP.
I have seen as the primary outbound (article and price) either of these:
IDoc WBBDLD03 = The Assortment List Material Data IDoc
    and more commonly
    IDoc WP_PLU03
For Best Practices, including process flows and the list of IDocs to consider (slide 12 outbound, slide 14 inbound), please review:

  • What about 3rd party cloud storage file access via bridge?

First of all, lets all agree to get some training to the help chat lines.  Inder was one I was chatting with and as I was typing another challenging question to the just down stupid answer I got being treated as an idiot, he or she cut me off, closed the chat and stated thank you for using Adobe chat support.  I guess the stats on how fast you deal with an issue is far more important than proving a viable service Adobe.  YES I AM F!@#$%G MAD.
So I found out that Bridge went out of their way in development  to stop me from organizing and or just opening files from DropBox. All I wanted to do was conveniently open a JPG in RAW for some preliminary editing before bring the file into Photoshop CC. A feature that Adobe has been ranting and bragging about for a while.  When I tried this GREAT feature in Bridge as it were, I could not even open the shortcut to the folders where I store my photos in the cloud DropBox. When I persisted, Bridge eventually crashed.  I am sure that was some easy code to put in there to teach me a lesson for not buying Adobe cloud storage.
So, after had spending 1000s and 1000s of dollars on Adobe products over the last 20 + years, I get treated as an idiot, an undereducated consumer, no respect and have to adhere to timeline restraints to meet a undereducated / under-trained so called specialist stats she he she won't get reprimanded or loose their job.
So here is my knowledge to the issue at hand.  I can not navigate Internet Based Cloud services without having to download them to my desktop first using Bridge CC.  Thus rendering this app useless when most if not all project files are on the cloud.  (Using the cloud makes so much sense in my case as a collaborator, project lead - manager, teacher in the arts of multimedia and a professional photographer).
Seems like there is no solution from Adobe, so my question to the forum is, what apps are you using to get around this issue.  Adobe doesn't deserve my loyalty anymore and must EARN IT BACK! Third party solutions free or otherwise is welcomed.

  • Question about 3rd party Ram

    Hi there,
In the past, I have used Crucial for adding extra RAM. Apple, however, says the RAM in the Mac Pro has a special heat sink design, and cautions about it. I have found in the past that Crucial does a good job about supplying very compatible memory. Does anyone have experience with the Mac Pro and Crucial and this issue?
    Thanks

About a month ago, I purchased an additional 2GB of RAM from Crucial. When installing it, I noticed that it looked identical to the Apple RAM already in the MacPro, with the exception of the Crucial sticker on the edge of the heatsinks. All of the other stickers and identification appeared to be the same.
After installation (took about 2 minutes total), I have had absolutely zero problems - and my computer runs much better. Photoshop CS2 runs much faster than on my G5 iMac, even with Rosetta (looking forward to CS3!). Since I have only 3GB total, I am tempted to purchase at least an additional 1GB or even 2GB, in the event my daughter-in-law wishes to push me aside and do some video editing.
Bottom line - absolutely NO PROBLEMS with Crucial. Now if their price would just ease down a bit ...

  • Migration Accelerator - Documentation about 3rd party app defaults

The App defaults we need to pick for the CX/CS dependencies:
MySQL and CGYWIN specifically.   What do we need to configure when those wizards pop up?  Both have multiple paths and options and the documentation just says "follow the wizard".     The cgywin specifically has
up to 15GB of downloads if you pick all the libraries to install, but the documentation doesn't say what we actually need to pick to finish that installation? (it wont finish if you don't pick something)
I know you are working on improving the documentation, so please review these items.
Also the interchanging of CS and CX in the documentation can be confusing, you should settle on one naming convention.

    Hi Joe,
As document/wizard indicates please download the required Cygwin setup-x86.exe and other MySQL and rrdtool.  Cygwin won't download 15 GB of data, just follow the wizard and you will be able to download the required software in 5 to 10 min. we will improve
our documentation regarding naming of CX and CS.

  • Link between 3rd party software and SAP

Our company uses a 3rd party software for its payroll processing.  At the end of every 2 weeks, we receive an Excel file that the clerk sorts and uploads into SAP using LSMW.
The Director of Finance thinks that this process can be achieved much quicker/faster/more efficiently, and he wanted to know if we can directly establish a link between the 3rd party payroll software and SAP.
Any thoughts on how this can be established?  Do I have to write a BAPI functional specification for this and work with the ABAP team?
Thanks in advance for all your help.
    Regards,
    Vijay.

    Hi Vijay,
Through BAPI / BDC / Idoc you can achive this requirement.
    Ex:
    1 - Create Landing Table in R/3
2 - Pull Data from Leagacy to SAP Landing Table
3 - From Landing Table you can post to SAP

  • Third party synchronous interface to SAP

    Hi,
I have a scenario where system A (third party app) needs to send a "show me prices" query to SAP and this needs to be synchronous.
Can anyone tell me if there is a walkthrough for this scenario I can look at?
I believe I need an integration process in the mix but need to see how this all hangs together.
3rd party interface -> Integration process [IP]
    IP to sap (sync)
    SAP to IP response (sync)
    IP to 3rd party
    Cheers,
    Ross

    >>  A previous consultant has set this up as a sync message SOAP to PI to SAP but there is no response leg coming from SAP even though the interface is defined as synchronous
Modify the interface from synchronous to Asynchronous and dont need BPM
    Make changes
    a) In SOAP Sender adapter  change Quality of Service from Best effort to Exactly once
    b) outbound service interface and inbound service interface in ESR , make asynchronous
    c) Mapping only for request.
    d) Rest all same.
    e)recreate WSDL.
The previous given link will be helpful to know about SOAP adapter.
    Check this link too.
