Hi, I would like to ask 3 questions about the certification requirement of 11g DB OCP.
Please advice me what do I have to do to prepare the OCP exam, thanks a lot in advance.
Q1:
Does 1Z0-001 fit the requirement of 11g DB OCP requirement (pass 1Z0-001 = pass 1Z0-051)?
AFAIK, 11g DB OCP requires passing 3 exams: 1Z0-051 (SQL), 1Z0-052 (AW1), 1Z0-053 (AW2) and finishing a hand-on course at least.
I have passed the 1Z0-001 (Introduction to SQL ans PL/SQL) many years ago.
After searching the discussion in the community, I've found 2 relative:

A1 -- Yes, if you passed 1Z0-001, you do not need to take 1Z0-051. When courses are retired, it simply means they are no longer given to *new* students. Anyone who passed them still retains credit for having done so.
A2 -- Self Study CDs do not count for the hands-in requirement. On the approved courses page of OU, it specifically states: "Self Study CD-Rom and Knowledge Center courses are excellent study and reference tools but DO NOT meet the Hands-on Requirement for certification."
A3 -- Only one course is required for the 11G OCP. That one is on the approved list and so will be acceptable if the vendor is authorized by OU.

Well, the problems you are having might be that you have new applications(higher requirements) that your iMac can't handle. Try upgrading your memory. you can get the OS in itunes or apple store through purchase history.

Talk to the vendor selling the case. We would have no way of knowing. Maybe they have different actual cases depending on the device you are purchasing it for? Contact them to see what they can tell you.

Does Audit Trail degrade the performance on 11g ?

Oracle 11g DB actually turns on standard audit trail function via DBCA.
Could anybody know how the negative impact for this function is ?
Is there any reference (Almost 5% perfermance impact )?

Watami, reading your post reminded me that 11g comes with a set of default privileges automatically set up for auditing. Since the privileges are pretty much DDL and you should not be performing very much DDL on a production database I would think the overhead would be almost too low to measure.
For those unware of this feature change or who have forgotten like me here are the default audit privileges:

The method of taking 9i OCP exams

If you want to take 9i OCP, I have something to share with you. You must note the things that I will tell you in the next article.
The first, if you want to take 9i OCP which contains 1z0-032 and 1z0-033, you must pass 9i OCA first. 9i OCA contains 1z0-007 and 1z0-031.
The second, original training and certification examinations did not order the provisions. You can do either of them first. But most of the people took the four examinations, and then took part in an original training.
The third, the original trainings include three days training, five days training, and seven days training. Here, I suggest you to take part in a three days training. It is cheaper, and you also can get the certificate that you want.
The last, what I want to say is that you must take part in the original training.

IPhone 3G case fits the 2G?

Hey guys.
I recently dropped my iPhone 2G, and got it scratched. In order to prevent this, I decided I wanted to buy a new iPhone case. But I realized that all the good cases are pretty much only for the 3G. So I went looking and found this theme I really really really like called the SGP Vintage Brown edition (http://www.sgpstore.com/productinfo.php/productsid/796). It's a really awesome case, except its for the iPhone 3G. Does this case fit the 2G? I was just wondering if anyone has had this case and knows if its a really tight fit, or if anyone else had already used it with the 2G. There are also other colors so if you had it in another color could you tell me too? I really want this case, so if anyone knows if it fits please tell me. Thanks in advance guys!

I highly doubt it will since it looks like a hardcase with the material coating it. Your only bet to finding a case that will work is finding a soft gel case, but I can't even guarantee that it will fit your 2g if it wasn't specifically made for it.

Query A takes the first 10 records from the table, gives the results.
Query D takes the results from the marks desc order and choose 10 records from the row source.

I am sending this email because recently I passed in the exam 1Z0-053 Oracle Database 11g: Administration II, which is the last examination necessary to acquire the OCP Certification. However, in the path to the certification I need to prove that I participated in an Oracle Official Training.
Searching for the course on the pearson vue site, I have not found the course name on the list. So I am sending this email with the course information required for certification. I attended to the course in college FIAP (http://www.fiap.com.br/en/conheca-a-fiap/parcerias-estrategicas/), in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, from March/2010 to March/2011. Accessing the link above is possible to verify that the educational institution is an Oracle Partner. The title that I got was "Graduate in Oracle Database Management".
In this email I attached a copy of the FIAP Certified Course (front.jpg certificate, certificate back.jpg). I’m also sending the data from my profile in the pearson vue site (Pearson VUE - My profile.pdf), and my scores in the exams for OCP certification (1Z0-051.pdf, 1Z0-052.pdf, 1Z0-053.pdf ).

Sorry, I expressed myself badly.
When I access http://www.pearsonvue.com/oracle/course/ and start submission process of the course, in the first step “Select the track for which you have completed a certification requirement” I selected the option “Oracle Database 11g Administrator OCP”, in the second step I selected “ILT = Instructor Led Training”, but when I got on the third step “Which course or requirement did you complete?” I have to choose the course name that I did, the course name that I did does not appears in that list, so I do not know which one to select, even having at the end of the form the option “Other ...(Course or requirement is not shown above. Please enter title below.)” the course name I did is in Portuguese/Brazil, the name is “MBA em gestão de banco de dados oracle” in Portuguese, which in English would look like "Graduate in Oracle Database Management".
I sent an email to [email protected] containing the information that I found necessary to obtain certification.
But if I have to do the process in the pearson vue site, should I put the course name in Portuguese or in English ?
Only the email I sent is not enough ?

Does an evaluation-only install of OBIEE 11g require a database?

I wanted to set up OBIEE 11g on my laptop so that I could start to evaluate it. From numerous blogs, I was led to believe that I first needed to install a database (I installed Oracle 11g), run the RCU utility, and then install OBIEE 11g. I successfully performed these steps, installing everything in one VirtualBox VM. Performance is acceptable but the VM's VDI is 18 GB in size!
After the OBIEE installation, the OBIEE home page automatically launched in a browser. In the Dashboard dropdown there's a Sample Lite QuickStart dashboard. Clicking on that link displays a series of tabs, including a ReadMe tab that states: "You are looking at a OBIEE SampleApp Lite, a simplified version of the OBIEE 11g SampleApp. SampleApp Lite only includes very limited set of basic features examples and sources only from XML static datafiles. SampleApp Lite does not show most of the OBIEE 11g powerful features and capabilities."
IMO, this indicates I didn't necessarily need to install Oracle 11g as a requirement to install OBIEE 11g. Is that the case? If so, what are the steps to install OBIEE 11g without a database? Why do I ask? I need to create another OBIEE 11g VM for a co-worker to evaluate. I'm wondering if I can somehow skip installing the database this time and simply let them evaluate OBIEE 11g by just using the SampleApp Lite dashboard.

Hi,
Installation of OBIEE 11g needs an RCU (and therefor a DB), even, as in your case, you're not using the DB for the SampleApp. Although installation needs an RCU, the RCU doesnt have to be on the same machine, so, while installing your 2nd machine, you can point to the RCU on the first machine. Doing this you don't have to install a seperate DB on the second machine.

PS. I think you can even remove the DB from your first machine afterwards, since I don't think it's being used in your case. But not sure about this, and never done it myself this way..

When i am trying to create an "Individual Account" in UI, I am getting the error "BP Category 1 does not fit the data in category 2".
If i try to create a "group" then it says "BP Category 3 does not fit the data in category 2".
It allows me to create only "Corporate Account" i..e. Category 2.
What should i do to create "Individual Account" and "Group". (Category1 & Category 3).
Individual Account (Category 1) - "BP Category 1 does not fit the data in category 2".
Corporate Account (Category 2) - Able to create only Corporate Account
Group (Category 3) - "BP Category 3 does not fit the data in category 2".

Hope this SAP Note : 1232459, Solves your problem.
You might have created a custom configuration for corporate accounts.
Unfortunately in case of custom configurations exist, they are selected with higher priority.
So in this case the configuration for corporate accounts is also shown for individual accounts,
this causes error.
In order to solve this problem, create a custom configuration for individual account also,
i.e for view BP_HEAD/AccountDetails. Object type BP_ACCOUNT and object subtype INDIVIDUAL.
Please make sure that the custom configuration includes the fields firstname and lastname for
persons instead of name1 and name2 which are only allowed for corporate accounts.

CRM 2007 IC : error "BP category 2 does not fit the data in category 1"

When I am trying to save the data on the Bupacreate page it gives the error as follows.

Hi,
This error usually occrus when you try to set field in without specifing bptype ie person, group etc. In our scenario we were trying to set field in Person which was not present in group. but since do_prepare_output method is same in both, that feild was getting set for group as well. When we placed restriction this error got removed.

Try installing Perian or VLC. Some AVIs require a codec which simply isn't available for Mac OS X.
