Does 2.1 Amp charger harm iphone 4S battery ?

I'm willing to buy a third party 2.1 Amp charger as my original Apple 1 Amp charger is too slow, but i was wondering if the excess amperes will harm by battery or decrease its life. Thanks in Advance :)

I would recommend that you do not do this. I have known some Apple batteries to be damaged by using 3rd party chargers. if you find that the Apple iPhone charger is too slow, you could try using the Apple iPad charger which is double the rating. That works safely.

My iPhone 4 battery drains overnight and I was wondering if the alarm clock has something to do with it. If this is not the case, is there a way to not have the battery drain overnight?

Leaving it overnight without charging will use small amount of battery. Reason is that it is still connected to a 3G network which draws some power to maintain a good reception. Anything not in sleep mode will use some battery.
To conserve battery life as much, just keep it in the charger overnight. It will not harm the battery as when the phone is fully charged, the charging stops.
I normally keep my phone in my charger when I'm home, but when I go out somewhere I unplug it.

The current iPhone 5 battery replacement program has caused some Apple Stores (including all of them in Houston) to run out of spare batteries. They order more, but can take a few days to get fresh stock.
I went into a store on Tuesday. The Genius ran a diagnostic to be sure my battery was in bad enough shape o qualify. It did, but they were out of batteries, so they put me in line to get one. Today's shipment included a battery with my name on it, so I took the phone back in today. The replacement was complete about 45 minutes later.

Try to backup and restore you device in itunes...restoring the device is like removing the iOS software off the device and re-add in a newer software, after you have restore you device, MAKE SURE YOU SET UP YOUR DEVICE LIKE A NEW DEVICE, DONT NOT RESTORE FROM BACKUP!!... give the device a chance to use the newer software and see if the issue still persisting, if the issue still on going then its would be a hardware issue.
Call Apple Care and see if your device is still under warranty to get it replace
