  • When does iphone5s 1528 with iphone6,2 support china unicom's 4g lte network?

When does iphone5s 1528 with iphone6,2 support china unicom's 4g lte network? Before I activate the cell phone, I could see the 4g at the left corner on the screen, but once I activated the cell phone, the 4g disappeared and 3g instead. It was a terrible experience. It seems that my phone support 4g but Apple and China Unicom disable the functionality.

All the information you need is right here: http://www.apple.com/iphone/specs.html
Notice there is no mention of WiMax.
It doesn't really matter anyway as Sprint is rolling their WiMax network down for use by MVNOs. Actual Sprint customers will not have access to WiMax at all. It was a failed experiment.

  • RV082 does not reliably pass one-to-one static route anymore

    Greetings!
I've been pulling my hair out, and hope someone can help.  I have a RV082 connected to a Comcast business-class internet with 6 static IP's one-to-one routed to specific internal hosts.  This configuration has been stable for several years.
A few days ago, the RV082 stopped routing most of the external static requests to their specific internal hosts.  External machines only display the "Can't connect to the webpage" error.  Rebooting the RV082 re-enabled correct operation for about 30 minutes, then it failed again.
I pulled out my backup RV082, flashed it with the current configuration, and swapped it in.  It acted the same - external statics route correctly for about 30 minutes, then it just stops.
Anyone have any ideas as to where I can look to figure this out?
    Thanks - Joe

Funny that you mention calling the Small Business Support Center - I was talking with them most of yesterday afternoon.  I must say that I received *excellent* support from them!  It's been 18 hours without a failure (whereas before it was failing after 30 minutes or sooner).
I will not hesitate to contact Small Business Support in the future for any other difficult problems - very professional, and took the time to understand my environment.
    Thanks - Joe

  • Does Airport Extreme support Static Routes?

I have client using an Airport Extreme as their Router. They currently connect to another device outside their network using AppleTalk.
It is planned to put this device onto TCP/IP but on a different subnet (e.g. their subnet is 192.168.5.X and the device will be on say 192.168.25.X). Does Airport Extreme support (like other Routers) the ability to set up a static link to a device on a different subnet (can’t find any information in a doco or the utility) or do they need to replace this with a “real“ router?

Sure, I could do something like route add -net 10.100.10 192.168.0.100 on every client machine on the subnet, but there is no such way to configure a web cam and similiar devices
    Any idea, Apple?

  • Does the E70 with S60 v3 support SDHC?

If you have upgraded your phone's firmware to v3, have you been able to use a miniSDHC card with your phone?
    Thanks!

Here's THE Nokia link for compatibility with the 4GB microSDHC - the smallest of the microSDHC cards. As a general rule of the thumb, if your device supports 4GB, it's hardware is capable of taking upto the 16GB currently available.

  • Difference between LAN BAse Image and Enhanced Image

Can you tell me the difference between switches with LAN Base Image and Switches with Enhabced Image. I want to run HSRP and OSPF on two switches. Can I use LAN Base Image with this or is switches with Enhanced Image.
    Many Thanks

The 2960 series does not have an Enhanced Image, just the standard software with and w/o crypto. The 2950 differences can viewed at the following link.

  • Configuring MPLS VPN using static routing

    Hi,
I am managed to set up a BGP/MPLS VPN in a laboratory using CS3620 routers running IOS 12.2(3) with ISIS. I am thinking of using static routes among the PE and P routers instead of a IGP. Does anyone know if Cisco routers supports static configuration of LSP? I have tried but could not get it work.

You can very well run MPLS with static routing in the core, as in Cisco we have to meet 2 criterias to have a MPLS forwarding Table.
    1) Creating the LIB
This thing lies in having LDP neighborship netween two peers and you have Label bindings.
This is irrespective of what is the best next hop to reach the advertising peers LDP_ID.
    2) Creating the LFIB
Now after considering all the Label bindings, the LDP_ID which can be reached out an interface
as a next hop, those Label bindings get installed in the LFIB.
So considering the above two points, we have to be careful in static routes
only for interfaces like Ethernet (Multiaccess Segments).
As in CEF when you give a static route pointing to an Ethernet Interface, CEF creates a
GLean Adjacency (Meaning there could be multiple hosts as the next hop on this segement, and it will glean for the right next-hop)
Now you may observe that when you give a static route only pointing to an Ethernet interface,
you LDP adjacency may come up and you may exchange the bindings with each other. But the Label Forarding Table is not created. This is bcos of this being a Multiaccess interface. And you have
Glean For it. If its a Normal WAN interface like Serial or POS, then there is no problem of
GLean and you would have a Valid Cached Adjacency.
So to avoid probelems with Ethernet interfaces you can simply specify the next-hop-ip address.
For Eg: ip route 10.10.31.250 255.255.255.255 10.10.31.226 (Without the Interface)
ip route 10.10.31.250 255.255.255.255 fa0/0 10.10.31.226 (Or with the Interface)
Only Difference in both is in the first one it has to do a recursive lookup for the outgoing interface. Otherwise both work well. And you can have static routes in your network
    running MPLS.
And doing this CEF would would work as it should and you would have a Valid Cached Adjacency.
So this is applicable for Cisco devices which use CEF, including 6500 with SUP720.
    HTH-Cheers,
    Swaroop

  • Is it possible in IOS to have two static routes for the same subnet, one a higher priority and "failover" between the 2?

    Hi All
Is it possible in IOS to have for a particular subnet:
    a) Two static routes?
    b) Make one static route a higher priority than the other?
    c) If one static router "goes down", failover to the lower priority static route?
We have a l2tp/vpdn connection to a supplier which can be accessed via two vlans/routes. I would like to make one route the preferred one but the "route" to failover if the preferred route goes down.
Again, many thanks in advance for all responses!
    Thanks
    John

    Hi John,
Hope the below explaination will help you...
    R1(config)# ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 2.2.2.2
    R1(config)# ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 3.3.3.3 10
If you notice the Administrative Distance for the secondary route pointing to ISP2 is increased to 10 so that it becomes the backup link.
The above configuration with just two floating static routes partially accomplishes our requirement as it will work only in the scenario where the routers interfaces connected to the WAN link are in up/down or down/down status. But in a lot of situations we see that even though the links remain up but we are not able to reach the gateway, this usually happens when the issue is at the ISP side.
In such scenarios, IP SLAs becomes an engineer's best friend. With around six additional IOS commands we can have a more reliable automatic failover environment.
Using IP SLA the Cisco IOS gets the ability to use Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) pings to identify when a WAN link goes down at the remote end and hence allows the initiation of a backup connection from an alternative port. The Reliable Static Routing Backup using Object Tracking feature can ensure reliable backup in the case of several catastrophic events, such as Internet circuit failure or peer device failure.
IP SLA is configured to ping a target, such as a publicly routable IP address or a target inside the corporate network or your next-hop IP on the ISP's router. The pings are routed from the primary interface only. Following a sample configuration of IP SLA to generate icmp ping targeted at the ISP1s next-hop IP.
    R1(config)# ip sla 1
    R1(config)# icmp-echo 2.2.2.2 source-interface FastEthernet0/0
    R1(config)# timeout 1000
    R1(config)# threshold 2
    R1(config)# frequency 3
R1(config)# ip sla schedule 1 life forever start-time now
The above configuration defines and starts an IP SLA probe.
The ICMP Echo probe sends an ICMP Echo packet to next-hop IP 2.2.2.2 every 3 seconds, as defined by the “frequency” parameter.
Timeout sets the amount of time (in milliseconds) for which the Cisco IOS IP SLAs operation waits for a response from its request packet.
Threshold sets the rising threshold that generates a reaction event and stores history information for the Cisco IOS IP SLAs operation.
After defining the IP SLA operation our next step is to define an object that tracks the SLA probe. This can be accomplished by using the IOS Track Object as shown below:
    R1(config)# track 1 ip sla 1 reachability
The above command will track the state of the IP SLA operation. If there are no ping responses from the next-hop IP the track will go down and it will come up when the ip sla operation starts receiving ping response.
To verify the track status use the use the “show track” command as shown below:
    R1# show track
    Track 1
    IP SLA 1 reachability
    Reachability is Down
    1 change, last change 00:03:19
    Latest operation return code: Unknown
The above output shows that the track status is down. Every IP SLAs operation maintains an operation return-code value. This return code is interpreted by the tracking process. The return code may return OK, OverThreshold, and several other return codes.
Different operations may have different return-code values, so only values common to all operation types are used. The below table shows the track states as per the IP SLA return code.
    Tracking
    Return Code
    Track State
    Reachability
    OK or over threshold
    (all other return codes)
    Up
    Down
The Last step in the IP SLA Reliable Static Route configuration is to add the “track” statement to the default routes pointing to the ISP routers as shown below:
    R1(config)# ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 2.2.2.2 track 1
    R1(config)# ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 3.3.3.3 10
The track number keyword and argument combination specifies that the static route will be installed only if the state of the configured track object is up. Hence if the track status is down the secondary route will be used to forward all the traffic.
    Please rate the helpfull posts.

    Naidu.

  • NetWeaver Basis support...with a Mac???

Those of us who prefer a non-Windows desktop platform are often frustrated and disappointed with the lack of support we find for our platform of choice in the mainstream business world. But, again some of us are stubborn enough to stick to our guns and try to live an “alternative” lifestyle.
Recently, after being a full-time employee for over 12 years, I decided to become an independent NetWeaver Basis consultant. So, one of the first things I had to think about was having a laptop for my new business. Having recently bought a Macintosh laptop for my personal use (just a couple of months before I made up my mind about going independent), my decision was actually about whether or not to buy a Windows laptop or use my Mac and risk my future clients denying me access to their office networks.
    Why a Mac?
Being a Unix fan, I love the idea of having a Unix-based desktop (in case you weren't aware, Apple's operating system’s core is a BSD Unix called Darwin). I can run the Mac Terminal application and develop/test Unix scripts right there, and run SSH and X-windows and other Unix tools without the need for add-ons. Plus, audio, video, modem, wireless and every other piece of hardware on my laptop works like a charm out of the box -- which is usually not the case with most Linux distros. All that apart from the legendary simplicity and elegance of the Macintosh user interface.
But, as you probably know, not everything in a Mac lover’s life is sweet potatoes, especially if you work in the non-Mac-specialized IT world. Two of the main drawbacks (for me, anyway) are the relative shortage of free software and utilities as compared to Windows and Linux (though this is getting better as more people use Macs), and the lack of support from many software vendors in the business arena.
SAP, I must say, is one of the few large business software vendors that have always (since I can remember) provided a Mac client. Not as nice as its Windows-based cousin, but the Java GUI does the job (for the most part) ...in the ABAP-based world, that is. However, SAP does stop short of providing Mac support for all NW front-end components. And since lately I’ve been focusing on Portal and XI, I will need more than just SAPGui in order to support my future clients with my Mac.
So, this is where things start getting more difficult:
SAP’s official position on Portal Administration functions is that Internet Explorer (which only runs on Windows) is the sole supported platform. Nevertheless, I have tested most of the basic functions to work well on Firefox for Mac.
As far as XI, I believe the Java Web Start-based Integration Builder tools are also only officially supported on Windows. But since Web Start runs on the Mac as well, there is in theory no reason why the IB tools would not work properly on my laptop, and my initial testing of them has been successful.  By the way, the same goes for other Java-based GUI tools such as Visual Admin, SDM GUI, and even SAPinst. All of which I have tested to work ok - just for fun, as I usually prefer to run those tools via VNC or X emulation.
In any case, living outside or on the edge of official SAP support is not a wam a cozy feeling, if you ask me.
Some other things a NetWeaver consultant might need that you can’t run on a Mac are:
NetWeaver Developer Studio  (though I want to try tweaking the Mac version of eclipse, just for fun, but haven't had a chance yet).
Other specialized NW front-end components, such as the ones used for MDM.
    Microsoft Project.
    Microsoft Visio.
    NetMeeting.
So, with all of the above shortcomings and iffiness, who is going to try to support SAP customers using a Mac?????
    I, for one.
I'm not sure how successful I will be, but here’s my basic checklist for the road:
SAP SW:          SAP GUI for Java
              SAP Download Manager
    Browser:          Firefox
    Office suite:     OpenOffice.org
Project SW:     Project Viewer by Steelray
              Omni Plan
    Diagramming SW:     Omni Graffle Pro
Remote Desktop:     RDC client for Mac (from Microsoft)
              Chicken of the VNC
VPN clients:     Nortel Contivity and Cisco VPN clients for Mac
Oh! and, yes... Virtual PC for Mac with Windows XP Professional...to run IE, NWDS and all the other stuff you still can’t run on a Mac .  After all, I can’t afford not to be able to support my clients! I promise to use it only when nothing on the Mac will do ;). Perhaps I will be able to do without it some day?

    Hi all,
at first let me tll you, my engish is not the best.
The next I wont tell you is the important thing. I work as a SAP-Cosultant to develop different ABAP Report and WebAS BSP's. Since 1998 I use first PowerBook and now MacBook Pro.
I use this Machines, because, I am a great fan of Macintoh Computers and the Mac OS X TOO. For me it is simply to use, works in all kinds in all Customer-Networks no Problems with Firewall-Tools, and so on, and so on.
I work with the SAP Java-GUI. But in some kinds i need the Windows SAP Gui because the Java-GUI has Problems or can not do the work had to do.
For developing and testing the BSP-Applications I take Firefox on the OS X-Side equal on the Windows-Side. Firefox has very good tools for developing HTML like FireBug and Web Developer. The complete Pages the Custom was to see with teh Windows IE. In same cases I present the Aplication to the Customer with Safari und he ask me why the pages looks i Max OS X so pretty und with the IE so ugly. This is a very nice moment
But a last, nearly i have the same questons than Carlos Herrera tell us.
    Greetings
