Does 3.1.2 fix the application icon sorting bug?
hello,
i notice that this new version of iTunes is buggy, the previous version would respect the icon sorting, but this new iTunes and iPhone OS version does not respect the sorting of icons...
the new feature to visualize the pages (i have 9 pages, more than 100 apps) does work partially...
is it only me?
the icons are sorted randomly...
and no matter if i choose sort by date, by name, category, it does NOT work....
please help~!
well, i'm considering the fact that i am using Tiger 10.4.11 on a PPC Power BookG4, since the rest of the iTunes features work perfectly ok...
I had to check the specs. Those seem to be OK.
i now tried removing all the apps from iPod, and then i sync with just 20 apps... and this part worked fine, the checked apps were installed (and not the whole bunch of apps) and the 'sort by category' "seems" to be respected...
With the 3.0 update on the iPhone 3G that was the approach I took when none of the apps worked after the upgrade. I put them back in groups of about 10 after a couple of restore attempts failed. In the end they all worked fine. The iPod touch was unaffected, so there must have been something in the iPhone itself.
BTW, i did not install 3.1.2 yet... on purpose.. some ppl seemed to have issues...
Some people always have issued. Or, there are always some people with issues.

Adobe Creative Cloud (Desktop) does not work properly. The application is blocked : it could not be launch neither stopped. I'm on MAC Yosemite OS, does anyone know how to remove it properly or to force its stop. It does not appear in the launched applications.
I received no error message. The application was just trying to find applications unsuccessfully.
I am using MAC OS 10.10.1
I tried to uninstall the application but it seems that a kind of deamon is still installed thus providing me to reinstall properly. Do you know where are the elements to remove in order to get my machine just like before ?
Otherwise I would have to reinstall everything and this would be a pain.

My iphone 4s wont turn on,it wont even charge,when it does eventually start to charge the apple icon on the screen will appear for a few seconds then itll disappear, i have tried to do the soft/hard reset but nothing happens, can anyone help me please? do i have a dead iphone on my hands? isit worth me going into the apple store and seeing what they can do or isit pointless? please help!!!
Try to backup and restore you device in itunes...restoring the device is like removing the iOS software off the device and re-add in a newer software, after you have restore you device, MAKE SURE YOU SET UP YOUR DEVICE LIKE A NEW DEVICE, DONT NOT RESTORE FROM BACKUP!!... give the device a chance to use the newer software and see if the issue still persisting, if the issue still on going then its would be a hardware issue.
Call Apple Care and see if your device is still under warranty to get it replace -

This is the downloading part of the icon: one of your programs has not downloaded correctly. Start launchpad and search for a grey icon and try to download this app. After downloading the the double line should disappear

As has been mentioned, the software in Mac OS X that supported the running of PPC applications rather than current Intel applications on Intel computers such as your MBP was last seen in Snow Leopard. However, since I believe your MBP originally came with Snow Leopard, you may be able to boot from the DVD's that came with the computer and install it on an external HD and try to install Quark on that.
I think a better solution would be to buy Snow Leopard Server from Apple by phone (800-692-7753 and be specific about wanting part # MC588Z/A), installing it as a virtual machine in software like VMware Fusion, and then installing Quark 6 in that. You'll still need a license number to authorize the Quark installation. -

Why does my iPad2 not display the WiFi icon? I have implemented ALL of the troubleshooting tips, but my WiFi icon is still missing, and it will NOT recognize the internet connection that I know to work on my computer and iPhone.
Try the following:
1. Reset the AirPlay devices
2. Reboot the router
3. Reboot the iPad

How can I add the applications icon/folder to my dock?
I just migrated everything from my G5 and would like to add the applications icon that automatically expands to my dock.
ThanksOpen a Finder window and click on the Macintosh HD on the left under Devices. One of the folders showing will be the applications folder; drag it onto the dock to the right of the System Preferences icon (individual apps can go to the left, but folders need to be to the right).

What does that superposed arrow on the airport icon mean?
On one computer I cannot connect to the airport base station as I can with all other Mac's using the same procedure on the same base station network. On the Mac I cannot connect from, a G5 is using OS 10.4.10, the airport strength symbol is not highlighted and there is a vertical highlighted arrow superposed on the airport symbol. What does that superposed arrow on the airport icon mean?

I believe that you are seeing the icon indicating you G5 is acting as a base station. On that G5 open System Preferences->Sharing->Internet and stop Internet sharing. -
How to restore the application icon
I need to know how to restore the application icon back to my Macbook. I need to download firefox and can not do so becuase the application icon is not showing up.
In the first place, the Firefox installer has an alias to the Applications folder in its window - you simply drag the fox icon onto that.
I'm assuming that the missing icon you're looking for is the one from the Dock?
If so, select Macintosh HD in the sidebar, find the Applications folder and drag it into the Dock (to the right of the line), being careful not to release the mouse until the other icons move aside for it. If you do that right, the Applications folder will remain in Macintosh HD, and you'll have shiny new alias to it in the Dock. -

If you have ThunderBolt, I would go with such for an External Working Drive, spinning platter or SSD depending on your budget
This does not have to be huge just big enough to house your most current Jobs
Once the Current Job is put to rest I would move it to a larger multi bay hard drive unit, USB or FireWire nothing fancy, no RAID, set up as one single Disk
This would only be accessed when something is needed from a past Job so the connection does not have to be speedy
The Drobo would be relegated to Vaults and backups
You can set up a Vault on the Drobo to back up the External Working Library and then Reconnect it when you have moved the Library over to the other Enclosure
This has worked for me pretty smoothly for a long while, but I have found over the years that one can not assume all people work in the same manner! :-) -

Found the answer:
Java for OS X 2014-001 includes installation improvements, and supersedes all previous versions of Java for OS X. This package installs the same version of Java 6 included in Java for OS X 2013-005.

I cannot open itunes store from my iphone 4s. When I press the application icon it seems to be open at first but then automatically return to the main menu. What can be the problem?
Logout of the app store and iTunes store: Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Go back to home screen and reset the phone by pressing the sleep/wake and home buttons together until the Apple logo appears then release them.
Once phone has finished rebooting go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store and login with your Apple ID and password again. Then open the iTunes Store app again.
