Does 7.3.1 fw work well on the AEBSn?
I just bought an AEBSn after returning a Time Capsule last week. I loved the TC but it kept giving errors of various kinds, and 2 total lockups; I also was not thrilled with the idea of the hard drive and router in a single device (single point of failure and all that). anyway, I got the AEBSn setup very easily, and everything is great; firmware is at 7.3 (what it came with). I know that 7.3.1 added Time Machine compatibility for usb hard drives, and maybe some other features. What I would like to know is the general satisfaction level of other users, and if this version of firmware has caused any new problems.

Firmware 7.3.1 seems to have been a significant improvement. No previos version firmware was ever able to detect my Firelite USB drive. Now it works and mounts the drive correctly. The new Windows version of the Airport Utility and Bonjour finally functions correctly.
It don't use the AEBS heavily, so I don't have a sense of its long term connection stability without lock-ups. I have not tried USB printing.
In general, I'd recommend updaating to 7.3.1 and Airport Utility 5.3.

I was wondering this too. Did you ever get an answer? I just bought a non-nike pair of sneakers and have a pod pouch now on my laces. I have it tight, at the lower part of the laces so its flat. When its on the left side my time is very similar to what it was when I used the nike shoes. When it is on the right side, my time is about 35sec/mile higher. I wonder which is more accurate and if you are supposed to have them on the same side. If so, then that is as accurate as with my nike shoes. Hope we get an answer soon. Im about to return everything its so frustrating.

I have set up a Netgear dual band modem which works well with the iPhone and an older MacBook, but with this brand new MacBook it asks for a password every time I reopen the computer and open safari. As you can imagine this is very annoying. It says I am not connected to the internet and offers me a choice of nearby networks including mine and then asks for a password when I select it. Why does it do this with our new MacBooks (also with my son's brand new one) and not with the iPhone, iPad and older MacBook? They happily automatically connect to our network after entering the password just the once.
Sig, I appreciate you trying to be helpful. I have no idea what issues you were having or what issue exactly pgrounds has been having. Your assumption that everyone's set up is the same as yours is false however. There are many many documented WiFi issues that are a result of Lion installs. Many have been solved by 10.7.1 and 10.7.2. Others have been solved by a large variety of work arounds. Others have not had their issues solved yet.
I am one of those. I have an IT background, and I spent the better of five hours digging up workarounds and attempting all of them. For the benefit oh anyone who is having similar issues, I have posted links to all of those workarounds here. None of them worked in my case, but hopefully they will help pgrounds or others.
So, once again, if you have a new idea, I'd love to here it. But if it has already been posted in one of these links, it's not helpful, let it go.

Looking for a Digital Handycam that works well with the PB. Any suggestions

I recently got the SONY DCR DVD 105 Digital Handycam as a gift, (along with the receipt) Well the nice little sony is not compatible with the PB.
So i'm now on the market for a handycam, as I want to return it.
Does anyone here have any suggestions as to a good camera, for basic home video's, that works well with the PB, for editing reasons?

Well, I have my XH A1 Canon video camera hooked up to Shuttle Thundbolt as composite and the thunderbolt to my Macbook Pro (Late 2011 - 2.4GHz, i7, 16GB Ram) and FLM 3.2 does not see my camera.
When I hook my same camera up to my Windows i7, 2.8Ghz, 8GB Ram using my "Hauppauge capture card" as composite it can see my camera.
I'm going to try a simple VHS tape deck and see if my macbook pro can see it using the Shuttle Thunderbolt. I'm going to guess and say it won't.
I installed the drivers as well.

How do I move Elements 8 projects (slide shows) from a Windows XP computer to new Windows 7 computer that also has Elements 8 on it so that the slides shows will work (Elements 8 works well on the Windows 7 computer & I have done several new slide show projects on it)? I tried backup & restore without success. I have also found the .psess files and copied them to the catalog in the new computer but when the sides shows are opened none of the images or music is there. Only the text that I entered shows. I have even tried to replicate the file paths from the XP computer to the new computer to see if that will help.
UPDATE: By a stroke of luck I happened to find a catalog link (a PSE8D file) in the 'My Catalog' file where the imported data was stored. When I clicked on it to investigate what is was 'magically' all of my transferred projects appeared in Organizer. Upon further investigation I found that the projects transferred from my XP computer were stored in a hidden catalog that had to be accessed through the Custom Location option in Catalog Manager (accessed by clicking File then Catalog then Custom Location). No Windows or Elements search revealed this fact. I am appreciative that I just got lucky. The Adode/Photoshop company was absolutely of no help. If fact to me their structure is designed to avoid contact with their customers unless you're buying a new product. Their products have many good features (even though user unfriendly) and it's a shame they don't value their customers more once the sale is completed.
Bottom line: All of the projects (sideshows) have been recovered and work in my new Windows 7 computer. I hope my experience helps others. -

Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
If after reboot that doesn't help...
Open Console in Applications>Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens. -
Just purchased CC2015 Lightroom & Photoshop following a 30 day free trial. All worked well during the trial but now I have subscribed to the plan and downloaded the latest LR version I am unable to zoom into the images and just get a constant 'loading' box and spinning circle. Also, the whole system is very slow - very frustrating! Any ideas? I am running it on Windows 8.

Webutil is not working well in the browser

I have a problem in my Forms. First, I was doing Form and I wanted to add picture for item and I want the picture to be saved
in database through pressing on button and a browser open and select the image to be saved in database. and if I want to later on
when I select the item the picture automatically come up with the item_id.
a later on I knew that I need to config the Oracle to Webutil + Jacob and also I knew that the Forms 10G 2R comes with webutil so I just
need to config Jacob in my system and after a long searching on the net and forums and reading I couldn't solve my problems
after following the configuration I reached to point which I stuck in and I don't know how to solve it.
so After assiging the two Jar files in under Dos I couldn't done them in success
here is the way I did:

I get this error after signing the jar files and that mean it's not configured well from the first time by showing error.

I tried to check some forms in a browser but still I get error asigned from Microsoft Windows like "Oracle Forms Runform has stopped working" and I press on Close the program and another Oracle error come up "FRM-92101:There was a failure in the Forms Server during startup. This could happen due to invalid configuration. Please look into the web-server log file for details.
Systems I'm using might help in identifing and solving the problem I'm facing.
* I'm using Vista Ultimate edition.
*Oracle Database 10G 2R.
*Oracle Developer Suite Forms 10G 2R Version 10.1.2.0.2
* OCJ4 Instance is working well and I can work with any Forms in a browser in best way except when I have Forms that configured to retrieve Image or save Image.
* I tried using webutil Demo and it's not helping me still the problem there because the problem in configuring the Jar files
* I use JInitiator 1.3.1.22 do you think this might cause a problem in Vista so if I use JInitiator 1.3.1.28 will fix the problem?.

By the way, I noticed something to let webutil to work I think I can't sign the frmwebutil.jar & Jacob.jar under Dos because of Jarsigner and I get this info: 'jarsigner' is not recognized as an internal or external command,operable program or batch file.
if you know or anybody knows why jarsigner is not recognized.

IWork(Keynote, pages and numbers) doesn't work well about the issue of copy & paste problem
I think so, too. the Keynote 6.5 is not working well on Yosemite (Mac OS X 10.10.1).
In my case, I can't copy & paste from some program(particularly analysis program in my case) to Keynote.
So, when I check coping & pasting the graph or image and so on to Powerpoint and other programs (one of Office is such word and 3rd programs), It works well. However It doesn't work at Keynote, page and numbers.
Also, I tried to do the following process to solve this issue

Something is wrong with your installation of Keynote
Try this repair for Keynote, ensure you complete all the tasks and in the order shown:
1 delete all the iWork applications if you have them, not just Keynote by using AppDelete.
2 restart the Mac; Apple menu > restart
3 immediately after the start chime, press the shift key until you see the Apple symbol.
let it fully boot up, it will take longer as the OS is repairing the drive
4 when fully booted, go to Applications > Utilities > Disc Utility; click on the boot drive then First Aid tab and click repair disc permissions
5 when complete, restart the Mac normally
6 install Keynote from the Mac App Store
