Does 91 Support LONG RAW ?

I was told that Oracle 9i does not support LONG / LONG RAW columns and all need to change to BLOB or CLOB. Is this true. Is there any place in oracle web site or any authentic document where this is true.
If so, I got truck load of job to do out here.
Keep me informed
many thanks
-Sathya

Hi,
LONG and LON RAW datatypes are supported in Oracle9i.
Check the following document on 9.2
http://otn.oracle.com/docs/products/oracle9i/doc_library/release2/server.920/a96540/sql_elements2a.htm#54201
It is specified in the document that
'Oracle Corporation strongly recommends that you convert LONG columns to LOB columns as soon as possible. Creation of new LONG columns is scheduled for desupport.'
The document even contains details on how to convert LONG/LONG RAW to BLOB/CLOB
Hope this helps.

Anupama

  • Error : Your CPU does not support long mode. Use a 32bit distribution

    Hi
I was trying to Install Oracle Enterprise Linux on VM ware version 6.
My hardware is Intel 32 bit.
However while booting from the DVD im getting an error as "Your CPU does not support long mode. Use a 32bit distribution."
    Please Advise
    Thanks

I had learned that the free DVD sets that Oracle ships are always for 64-bit systems. Owners of 32-bit systems will have to either download from http://edelivery.oracle.com or copy a distribution DVD from a friend. The 32-bit media can also be ordered from the http://oraclestore.oracle.com site for about $20USD.
Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

I enabled the VT (Virtualization Technology) option in the BIOS and then gave it a try. Does not work?

    Hi
Looks like the 64 Bit operating system is not supported. Enable the VT (Virtualization Technology) option in the BIOS and then give a try again.

  • IPhoto does not support Olympus Raw

Understand that IPhoto does not support Olympus Raw, and since IPhoto will disappear from support next year, will the new Photo support this version of Raw?

It isn't just iPhoto - if RAW is supported, it will also be in Aperture and ( I believe, but am not sure) in Image Capture.
    babowa,
I think, only Aperture and iPhoto are supported.
See the requirements in the Raw Compatibility updates:
    Digital Camera RAW Compatibility 6.01
    System Requirements OS X 10.10 w/ iPhoto 9.6 or Aperture 3.6

  • Preview does not support the raw file format of the nikon d300s

preview does not support the files and snow leopard does not provide icon previews either.
is there any date when there will be support for these type of files?
any suggestions on how to open the NEF files with preview in the meantime there is an update?
    regards

any suggestions on how to open the NEF files with preview in the meantime there is an update?
Not with Preview, but Nikon Transfer v1.0.1.3005 is so far happy with 10.6.1 and you may see if there is any advantage there. Take the card out of the 300s and use a reader if you have to.
It usually takes from 3 to 6 months before Apple releases a new/specific Nikon RAW related update, so you are at the beginning of that cycle it would appear...all you can do is wait, sorry.

  • LR2 Does Not Support .rw2 RAW File

Hi. I recently downloaded RAW files taken by the new Panasonic LX3 digital camera from this website:
    http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews_panasonic_lumix_dmc_lx3_3.php
(see bottom of the page for the RAW images)
The RAW files have an extension of: .rw2
I tried importing one of the RAW files in LR2 and it doesn't seem recognize the file. It gave me this message: "No photos were found to import."
Any help would be really appreciated.
    Thank you.

    > Am considering purchasing the LX3. So ... how can I work on the .RW2 files in LR2 and PS?
The correct answer is that you will be able, and it's only a question of when. My own
guess would be relative to many cameras having just been announced at Photokina. Adobe must have their hands full, but I'll bet they deliver before the end of October, certainly before the end of November.
The LX3 has also been out long enough that you may even find "unofficial" support for it in ACR v4.6.

  • Does PSE10 support Camera Raw or DNG?

I just upgraded to a Canon 70D and have had a time trying to view downloaded images on my laptop like I used to with my Canon Rebel xs. I used to create a folder and organize that that way. But with the new camera/sd card it says that the images can't be viewed because the file is 'unsupported, damaged or corrupt'. So I downloaded the Adobe DNG Converter. Converted the images and tried to open and view them and recv'd and error that said that my Windows Live Gallery is not updated to support the image. A .CR2 or a .DNG  SOOOO then I went and updated the gallery and added 2 new codepacs.  AND still won't work!  I even just tried to upload the .CR2 to my PSE10 and its not supported either. Only way to view them is the Canon Image Browser EX but I can't get them to PSE10 that way.  I can't figure out how to cull them. This is going to make me crazy.
What is happening?!? Do I need to change my RAW to RAW+JPEG?? Or is the system software in the 70D just not compatible with anything I have?????

    Try the PSE fourm http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop_elements

  • Confirmed: Aperture Does Not Support FZ30 RAW

Just a quick note to let everyone know that the Panasonic FZ30's RAW files are not recognized by Aperture.

I have emailed Panasonic asking them to work with apple to get support for panasonic RAW incorporated. I'd email Apple a well, but I've done it before without result.

  • Does Aperture support NEF RAW files for the Nikon D810?

I am unable to open NEF RAW files for my new Nikon D810.  Are there any updates of suggestions.

Apple has not yet reverse-engineered a RAW update for the d810. I would suggest that you shoot RAW +JPEG with all your NEF images on the CF card and put your JPEG optimal fine images on the SD card in slot 2. Save your NEF images and CF cards until the Aperture 3.5.1 RAW update for the d810 finally is available. In the meantime, you will have JPEG optimal images on your SD cards that you can import and process in Aperture. Good Luck.

  • Aperture does not support Small Raw files from Canon EOS 5D MK II

    Hi,
I recently bought a new Canon EOS 5D MK II camera and started shooting on SmallRaw format, but Aperture simply refused to process those files. It only shows a preview of around 3 inches only. I don't know what's wrong either with my OS 10.5.6 or Aperture 2.
Now that I've returned to Digital Photo Professional from Canon to process the image. Please help, I don't want to break my workflow.

  • Camera Raw in PSE11 does not support Nikon D610 NEF; all software updates done accomplished - which Camera Raw version to download and where to find?

    Hi,
Just bought a new camera (Nikon D610) and found out that Camera Raw in Photoshop Elements 11 does not support the RAW (NEF) files. Works fine with the Nikon D5200. PSE11 states that it's up to date. Support documents on Adope Website do not help at all. Some say the D610 is supported other say it's not. If I have to update Camera Raw, which version do I have to use for PSE11? Where can I find the download file?
I find it somehow strange, that it's not possible to contact the support in a common way, but have to use this Adobe Community. Anyway, if it works... :-)
Would be great, if someone could give me a hint, how to solve the problem.
    Best Regards,
    Boris

Just got the new PSE12 and found out that Camera Raw 8.4 plug in can not be installed, if the system runs on Vista!
So I got a new Nikon camera, new software (which can not be send back) and it looks like that I will need new system software and probably a new PC... :-(

  • Long Raw vs Blob

We have a table in our database which contains the following field types:
    CREATE TABLE TESTBLOB (
    A NUMBER ( 10 ) NOT NULL ,
    B VARCHAR2 ( 765 ) DEFAULT '' ,
    C NUMBER ( 10 ) DEFAULT 0 ,
    D NUMBER ( 10 ) DEFAULT 0 ,
    E NUMBER ( 10 ) DEFAULT 0 ,
    F NUMBER ( 10 ) DEFAULT 0 ,
    G NUMBER ( 5 ) NOT NULL ,
    H NUMBER ( 5 ) NOT NULL ,
    I NUMBER ( 5 ) NOT NULL ,
    J NUMBER ( 5 ) NOT NULL ,
    K NUMBER ( 10 ) DEFAULT 0 ,
L LONG RAW DEFAULT NULL ,
    CONSTRAINT PK_TESTBLOB PRIMARY KEY ( A )
We recently changed B to VARCHAR2 (2000). After that change, the bitmap images we were saving as A LONG RAW would be loaded back into our application with the right half on the left side and the left side on the right. When we changed L to be a BLOB, the bitmap images are being loaded back into the application correctly and this issue has been corrected.
I guess my questions are, can anyone tell me what making these changes did to the database and why does changing the LONG RAW to a BLOB resolve the issue?
    Thanks in advance.

The misdisplay of the data when it was stored as a long raw sounds like an application issue. Either the data was being stored or retrieved wrong (or both).
Changing the code to work with a BLOB corrected the error.
Long raws are an obsolete data type provided for backward compatibility only so using a BLOB is a better choice for future maintainability of your code.
Note the BLOB will be stored out of line, that is, in a separate LOB table and an object id will be stored in the base table row that points to the the LOB row.
You can find more information of the datatype in the Concepts manual chapter on data types or the Application Developers Fundamentals Guide.

  • +PSE 11 raw does not support Canon SX50

    Hi,
Just got my new Canon SX50HS camera. Looks like PSE 11 raw does'nt support it. How long does it normaly take after a camera is available to the public for Adobe to include it in its list? Where do I have to ask Adobe about that situation ?
    Claude

Download and install the free Adobe DNG converter to convert your CR2 files to the Adobe universal Raw format and the files will open in all versions of PSE (keep your original CR2’s as backup) or for use in Canon DPP bundled with your camera.
Windows download click here DNG Converter 7.2
Mac download click here DNG Converter 7.2
You can convert a whole folder of CR2 images in one click. See this quick video tutorial:

  • When does Photoshop cc supports the raw files wich are coming from the Nikon D5500 ?

    Hello,
When does Photoshop cc supports the raw files wich are coming from the Nikon D5500 ?
Iam a very happy user of Photoshop, specially for my raw files... i find it frustrated that i can't work on my files for now..
    Greatings Danny

The D5500 was just released and Adobe is working on support. Cannot say how long for sure, but it should be within a month or two. Meanwhile, you could shoot in NEF+JPEG and set Camera Raw to open your JPEGs as well. Not as much data, but will be better than nothing..
