Does a double jack extension coord affect my internet speed?

I used to have time warner cable with 25mbps, and today I switched to verizon fios also with 25mbps.
My internet works fine,and I am pretty sure I didn't connect any of my phone filters to the modem.
I used to be able to watch HD videos on youtube but now it takes forever for them to stream.
My modem is connected to a grey extension cable(it came with the box) and that is connected to a 50 ft double jack extension coord which is then connected to a 3-jack wall adapter.
The other 2 jacks are for 2 filters for my phones.
Is it because of the double jack extension coord? Should I just buy an extension coord with no jacks?
Or is it because it is just day 1.
I can post images , if it ain't clear enough.

Fios doesn't use a modem it uses a router. None of the cords are grey or come with filters. Sounds like you are talking about DSL if that is so post your question there.

Double file extensions keep showing up when saving a file in Illustrator CS3???

I just installed the CS3 suite and when I am saving files in illustrator I keep getting double file extensions. For example if I save a file named "filename" as a .eps file it shows up in the save window with filename.eps.eps Also, if I click through the possible file types to save it keeps adding them one after the other so if I click. say pdf eps and ai the file in the "Save As:" window looks like this " filename.pdf.eps.ai.ai" Any ideas why this is happening? I keep having to mouse click in the "Save As:" box and delete the extra extension. This is really annoying!!

I've seen extra periods (.) and extra extensions.
then you and Dave have the same conflict with a third party software, corrupt font, corrupt preference or the like because it is not happening o my Mac Pro and I have the same model Mac as you do and I am working fine in 10.5.1 and only problem I have had with AI CS 3 is when I tried to place a 3D CAD file with the extension .dxf which is not really supported.
I have not seen this even once. Would you like to see screen shots, it honestly is not a 10.5.1 or Illustrator issue on its own. This has to be user specific.

Adobe Extension Manager CC does not show installed extensions for Photoshop CC 2014 or Photoshop CC so that I am unable to uninstall extensions. This means that I cannot install updates to extensions.

Hi JJ - thank you for getting back to me. I got onto an Adobe tech and we tried various things including re-installation of Extension Manager, which didn't fix the problem. We then updated Photoshop (I was one point release back) then re-installed EM and this has fixed the problem.
I did check online and quite a number of people seem to have had this problem, so I guess Adobe has fixed whatever bug was in there.

Off hand, I would guess "no". Although it may appear in multiple apps, it is the same photo.
Once you start editing, then you will find that the Photos app automatically saves the edited version to the Camera Roll while retaining the original.
iPhoto places edited photos in an "edited" album, and if it isn't already there, can also place a copy in the Camera Roll if you so chose.
I suspect all these additional "copies" are probably not full copies, but files containing the changes, referenced back to the original. A simple test would be to delete the original and see what happens to the "copies", but Apple might have that covered some way.
Just a guess from the reading I have been doing working with photos and iMovies.

No iOS device has had video out through the headphone jack since....the model of the Classic since before the current one? I admit to not being entirely sure on when it was dropped. None of the current devices (iPad, iPod or iPhone) have that capability.

Photoshop CS does not append the extension to the filename

Hi there.
My Photoshop CS does not append the extension to the filename, when I save with Save as..., so it save all the files as .psd.
And when I try to open these files, it says that it cannot, because the file is "invalid" or someting.
I had the same problem with Photoshop Elements 5.0
I've that problem only on that computer. Not others.
What I can do?

Well, into PhotoshopCS/Plug-in/File Formats there are those files: Cineon.8bi; Gif.8bi; Png.8bi; WBMP.8bi
I've tried to copy all Photoshop files from another computer, where Photoshop works fine, and I've replaced with them the files on that computer, but it doesn't work yet...
I'm thinking that's a problem of that Pc, but what?

Why iMac (late 2012) does a double boot up every time?

Hi,
I have a 27inch late 2012 imac.I have a 3TB fusion drive running 10.8.2.
Every time I restart or start up from off, the machine does a double boot up.
     The iMac boots up and the dong sound plays, apple logo showing.
     Then 23 seconds into boot, screen goes black and switches on again,
     Dong sounds plays again while the apple logo reappears.
The imac logs into desktop only after the dong sound and the apple logo appear twice.
any idea why would that happen?
Also, from time to time I get a small window popping up, but it dissappears a second later and I have no time to see whats wrong. I can only sort of make out that there is a yellow triangle on it. Probably some sort of error resolving itself?

Thanks for your answer! I just got off the phone with apple and finished reinstalling Mountain Lion on my imac and that fixed the error. Apparently it was something to do with how OS X was installed and reinstalling the OS fixed that restart on the startup issue! i hope that I wont be getting those random pop up error messsages as result, but still too early to tell!

The current MacBook Air uses a TRRS 3.5 mm mini jack, just like the iPhone. As long as the intended device (headphone/microphone) is compatible with this jack standard, you are fine.

You should shut down all the apps running in the background and then reset your phone. Double tap the home button to open the multitasking drawer (iOS 6.X) or the multitasking screen (iOS 7.X) if you are on iOS 6.X press and hold one of the app icons and wait for the icon's to start to jiggle, just like when you want to delete an app. Tap the little x that appears in the upper corner of the icons. Repeat until all the icons are gone.
If you are on iOS 7.X once the multitasking screen is open swipe up on all the app images until they are all closed. Tap on the home screen to close.
Then press and hold both the Home and Sleep buttons at the same time and wait for the Apple logo to appear then release both buttons. The phone will restart itself.
If this doesn't help try doing a Reset All Settings reset, you will not lose any data or content or media. But you will have to reset any setting you turned on or off in Settings. This will reset all settings back to factory default. Settings => General => Reset => Reset All Settings.

Why does my MacBook Pro 7,1 only negotiates SATA1 speeds?

just noticed that my MacBook Pro 7,1, standard configuration (250GB Toshiba model no. MK2555GSXF, DVD burnet Matshita UJ-898), negociated the link between the nVidia chipset and the two SATA devices at 1,5Gb/s, although all three support 3Gb/s.
Does this mean I won't see a large speed benefit if I swap the internal 250GB Toshiba for a Western Digital Scorpio Black that's rated at 7200rpm and 3Gbit/s?
I initially wanted to buy a 500GB drive (or less) to build a performance FireWire 800 drive, and the Scorpio Back came up as a top contender among platter drives (don't have enough for SSD yet).
