Does a multiple language supported Windows Phone 8 Application support Bengali Language (Bangladeshi language)?

Hello,
I am developing  a Windows Phone 8 application (for Nokia/ Microsoft Lumia) where multiple languages will be supported. Now, it is needed to support Bengali (Bangladeshi language) in my Windows phone 8 application.
But, I didn't find Bengali language in the Setting -> Language -> phone Language. So could anyone tell me that a multiple language supported windows phone 8 application support Bengali language or not. If it is possible, then how user will change
the app language from phone setting?
FYI .. From Microsoft OEM documentation, I have known that Windows Phone 8.1 GDR2 includes support for Bangla (Bangladesh language).
Thanks

Hi NONAME-2007,
As far as I known the Bangla language is supported as a on-screen keyboard language on the Windows Phone 8. But it is not supported as a display language in Windows Phone 8, so you can not choose this language from the phone setting. For more information,
please try to refer to the following article:
http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/how-to/wp8/basics/feature-and-service-availability .

  • DPS support for windows 8.1 and windows phone applications?

Does the latest version of DPS support development for apps on Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone or is there a roadmap for when this will be supported? It seemed like it was to be release by the end of 2013.

What do you mean by "ADP"?
All your Adobe rep will do is get you a custom viewer that you can submit to the store. You still have to publish the folios yourself to either the same account as your iOS folios, or to a different account (your choice). Remember that the Windows 8.1 viewer does not support Single Edition. It is only for professional or enterprise customers who are publishing multi-issue applications.
Our intention is to have all iPad folios render beautifully on Windows. The only overlays we don't currently support are pan and zoom, image sequence, and audio. If you don't use those overlays then you don't have to change your folios at all.
You can look at the Adobe Inspire app in Windows Store as an example. The folios there are the direct copy of the iPad folios, with no edits.

  • What does it mean when it says "Apple Application Support was not found"

Ok. I uninstalled everything that was related to itunes because it wouldn't let me connect my ipod to itunes. a few days ago I think I uninstalled something that I needed because now I can't even open itunes. It keeps saying "apple application support was not found" when I try to open the program. And it says :"Error 2 (Windows error 2)" I've tried to download everything. itunes 64-bit, 32-bit, update, latest version, and something else I believe. Why can't I get itunes back on my computer? Please help!

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR suitable for your PC (there's a 32-bit Windows version and a 64-bit Windows version):
    http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, see if iTunes will launch without the error now.
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

    Hello Ion Vlad,
You can find the system requirements for windows phone development at
    [1].
According to this link, development for Windows Phone 8.1 requires a computer with one of the following operating systems,
    -Windows 8.1 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64)
    -Windows 8 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64)
    -Windows 7 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) - requires Internet Explorer 10 or higher
If you need the windows phone emulator, then you will need windows 8 64-bit pro or higher. You can find the system requirements for windows phone emulator at

  • Windows Phone application rating is not displaying

    Hi Microsoft,
Our company has published an application  in windows Store on 21st april 2015.
And many user have downloaded the application and many have rate it. But it is not displaying in the application page yet.
And I also checked with logging in Windows developer account. Still I could not see it.
Please provide clarification. From a developer side, do we need to do anything  for displaying rating information?
    Thanks
    anoop m

No you don't need to do anything.
It could take some time to get your ratings display in the store. Also you will only be able to see the ratings from users in your region in the store. All ratings will only be visible in the developer center.
Wait for a week and if the ratings still doesn't show up, contact the developer support
    here
Yea . Its already 3 days after a user Rated my app. Still not there under reviews section. Anyway I will wait.
    Thanks

  • Does oracle 10g 64bit need windows 64bit to support?

    Must I install 10g 64bit on windows 64bit ?

Thead title is different from following question.
Not only on Windows: 64bit software requires 64bit OS, but 64bit OS does NOT require 64bit software. So you don't need to install 10g 64bit on windows 64bit, but you cannot install 10g 64bit on windows 32bit.

  • Level of local SQLCE/other DB support in windows phone 8.1/using linq to sql from dll?

I have had a mixed opinion for SQLCE support in windows phone 8/8.1. Is their still support for a local SQLCE or other database in windows phone 8.1? (A lot of different blog articles created their own handlers it appears and one used
an visual studio app called SQLmetal) I am hoping to at least figure out the libraries to use for Linq to SQL in windows phone 8.1 in order to access a local Database. I only need to retrieve data from a simple Database with one -
two tables and one of the tables has three fields.
I wish to access the local DB from a dll file even if I have to use Linq to SQL. The reason for this is to store data for a simple game while the app is running. However, I may need to send data to the database and would like to separate that
from the main application if possible. The only other question is: how do I add local database support to a dll file in windows phone 8.1? (This is my main objective but I need to know my database options first)

Windows Phone Silverlight 8.1 apps can still use LINQ to SQL (System.Data.Linq) see:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/hh202860(v=vs.105).aspx
For Windows Phone 8.1 [runtime] app you would need to use an external library like
    SQLite
There is a jumpstart training talk on using SQLite in Windows Phone 8.1 apps here:
    http://channel9.msdn.com/Series/Building-Apps-for-Windows-Phone-8-1/19
I'm not sure what you mean by: "...access the local DB from a dll file..."  Do you mean you want the library used to access the database to be portable across
    platforms?

I saw the first link and I think I have already been through some of that tutorial on channel 9 already.
I'm not sure what you mean by: "...access the local DB from a dll file..."  Do you mean you want the library used to access the database to be portable across platforms?
This would be a yes. I need use it to submit an application to the store (I wish to have the data and business logic in the dll file while having the GUI separate). I am currently using the portable dll but if you think using another dll type would help
I will try that. I am a VB.NET programmer and so I can see where some programmers get their worries about SQLCE (It seems a lot of VB and VB.NET programmers like it from my time helping on the VB.NET forums second to SQL Server only).

Nevermind, I changed the dll type to "Silverlight" and I can use the System.Data.Linq reference at least.

If you download the Lumisoft.Net.Zip and extract it looks like there is a vCard folder with some classes that may help you.

    Any help..
    thanks..
    Suresh.M

    Hello Suresh,
Are you loading multiple images at once on one page? If so this is an expected behavior. There is limited memory available per app so it's important to not load too large or too many photos at once in your app.
If possible you can try to convert your Windows Phone 8 to Window Phone 8.1 so as to take advantage of the FlipView control which is built to handle photo gallery-like applications.
Also you can always run the Windows Phone Application Analysis tool to check on the application performance and memory usage. This will help you test and fine tune your app accordingly.
Let me know if this helps.
