Does a subscription to the Mac Developer program include Lion or do I have to buy it separately?
I'm thinking about joining the Mac Developer program. I'm also planniing to upgrade to Lion. I know that beta releases of Lion were made available to developers. Is the final release also available or do I have to buy Lion separately? I don't want to buy Lion only to find out that it comes as part of joining the Mac Developers program.
You'll still need to buy the public release of Lion in any case.

Enrolling Mac Developer Program Problem

I'm in the UK and tried to enrol for the Mac Developer Program via https://developer.apple.com/programs/
I selected "Mac Developer Program" for $99/year and came to https://developer.apple.com/programs/mac/
I pressed the "Enroll now" button and came to https://developer.apple.com/programs/start/standard/
I pressed "Continue" and came to https://developer.apple.com/programs/start/standard/create.php
I was already logged in with my existing Apple ID and
pressed "Continue" with Existing Apple ID which brought me to https://developer.apple.com/enroll/selectEnrollmentType.php?t=cm
Because we want to use our partnership business name, I pressed "Company" and came to https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage
I don't know why I'm here now. I see no reason to edit my account details.
How do I continue?

Developing for iOS requires a Mac; that's clearly stated in the program information. Whether there's any way to get the beta onto an iPhone from a Windows system is something we cannot discuss in these public forums. Ask in the developer forums you now have access to as a member of the iOS developer program:

Well, you downloaded a bootleg copy of iOS 7 beta and have installed it on your phone without being a developer. It has bricked your phone and you cannot get help here because doing what you did has voided your warranty. Have a nice day.

When is Apple going to open up the iPhone Developer Program?
I signed up for the iPhone Developer Program almost as soon as one could sign up for it. I was one of the unlucky many who got the "you are not important enough to let into the Developer Program" e-mail. That was months ago when the rumor was that they would be opening it up around the time of the WWDC. Well, it is now WWDC time. Is there any more info on this?
Why don't I use the iPhone Simulator? The iPhone Simulator does not simulate the accelerometer very well (i.e., it does not simulate it at all) and the accelerometer is important for my app. I can't even tell if my app is feasible without running some test code so that I can get a real world sense of how well the accelerometer works.
Between this and the significant issues that I am having with my MBP and Apple's lack of response, I am starting to feel that I picked a bad time to start doing Apple development.Excuse me, but Apple clearly has decided that some application developers are more important than others. The App Store is opening up next month and I don't think they will be selling apps that haven't been QA'ed on real devices. Oh, I get it. All of the big name mobile software vendors that Apple wants to display in their App Store just happened to get randomly selected.
"Apple has no way of knowing who has real apps ..." Well, I told them that I did. I even told them that it uses the accelerometers, so the simulator wouldn't help.
You note that Apple says that there are 21k developers in a holding pattern. What is it about the iPhone Developer Program that stops Apple from just taking people's money and issuing them cookies (or whatever) that allows the downloaded SDK to load apps on real devices? Inviting people over to your house to install your app on their iPhone/iPod touch is not a very good distribution model; the App Store is needed for distribution. The limiting factor is the gatekeeper for the App Store, not a SDK that can run code on real devices. So, why don't they freely distribute a SDK that can run code on real devices?
After telling the world "look, a SDK for the iPhone" months ago, why can't Apple even give a date to 21k people who took the time to sign up for the Program when they might be able to run their apps on real hardware?
I want to do things the right way (through Apple's SDK) and I really don't like the idea of jailbreaking, but right now that seems like the only option that I have to proceed with my app development.

With one Apple ID, you can obtain one license for the iOS Developer Program, Mac Developer Program and Safari Developer Program. If you want more for other people, these people will have to register on the iOS Developer Program with their own Apple ID. You will get the license for the iOS Developer Program during the next 24 hours after submitting the request, depending on the time it takes to Apple to check the credit card -
An updated version of the iOS Developer Program Agreement
Hi, when I log into the ItunesConnect I get the message:
"An updated version of the iOS Developer Program Agreement is available and requires your acceptance. To restore your ability to create new applications and upload binaries, the Agent of your development team must log in to the Developer Member Center to review and accept this agreement."
When I click on the "Go to the Developer Member Center" I don't see where I should agree. Assuming I'm right by going to: Member Center / Your Accounts / Legal Argreements / iOS Developer Program License Agreement.
Then it will open just a plain PDF for me - without any Agree / Disagree button anywhere in sight after scrolling down and up and loging in and out and doing just about everything one can do in regards to clicking a link and scrolling a document...
I have surfed Dev Forum for the solution but neither of the options was supportive.Our apps came offline automatically shortly after this as iTunesConnect thought we had not renewed our license, even though we had several weeks ago.
We had a brief panic as our apps were offline for 12 hours, which is how long it took Apple Support to work out what was wrong and hook things up.
I suggest you contact them ASAP to get this fixed so you don't get that iTunesConnect alert to your phone 'Your app status has been changed to Pending Contract'. -

actually i never stole the software,i was told to upgrade to this beta 7 to fix my phones problem with signal,i did not know it had to be paid for,or that it would break my phone even more as i am no developer and know hardlys anything about phones never mind developing them ! if i knew for one second that it had to be paid for i would have not got it,but if that is the case,why dont i have to pay for all my other updates ive had on my phone?apart from that,does anyone know how i can get my phone back to 6.1.3 firmware.thankyou for any help offered.now i think i will go and give this phoneshop assistant a peice of my mind as his reccomendation has totally wrecked my phone :/

Built-in to OS X is the ability to capture an entire screen or selected portions. Snaps are saved to the Desktop by default:
COMMAND-SPACE-3 snaps the entire screen.
COMMAND-SPACE-4 lets you select a portion of the screen to snap.
In your Utilities folder is a utility called Grab that provides similar functionality and more.
Then there are dozens of third-party solutions such as SnapNDrag and SnapzProX. You will find them and others at MacUpdate or CNET Downloads. Most have trial versions or trial times so you can test them out. -

That message is just a standard one issued, mainly for Windows users, you can disregard it if you didn't install any anti-virus. (OS X has one installed by Apple that doesn't interfere)
It's just some forms of anti-malware are really paranoid and lock the entire machine down. (like Norton)

I have seral email accounts on my Mac. One does not work on the Mac but works on my iPad and iPhone. The account information was added on the Mac. I keeps rejecting my password.
You don't input the information in manually for iCloud mail. It is automatically set up for you when you sign into iCloud via System Preferences and choose the Mail checkbox. Sign out of iCloud or deselect Mail in iCloud preferences. Open Mail's preferences and choose accounts tab. If iCloud account still exists in the list, delete it. Sign back into iCloud or check the box for mail. The account will be auto created for you.
