does any one tried to run ADF faces with JSC applications ?
I tried to use some of its components (color picker) or a jsf page creted by JSC but after i add taglib and components code to jsp file my page does not shows anything and nothing appeared in log viewer.
does any one yet tried this ?

does any one yet tried this ?Are you trying to 1) get the ADF faces components working in Creator itself or 2) adding them afterward to an existing Creator developed page? Unfortunately, #1 requires additional work. See http://blogs.sun.com/roller/page/edwingo?entry=component_authoring_for_creator for more information. You may be able to do #2, but I haven't tried it.

I am totally new to Oracle Portal environment and doing some analysis of using Portal in our application.
I was reading that we can create JSP Portlets like adding scriptlets, expression and other JSP & HTML elements.
Is it possible to consume JSF & ADF Faces components in Portal page? I mean, is it possible to create JSF Portlets?The WSRP provider, which is shipped with Portal 10.1.4, would provide this functionality through the JSF bridge. You need to install Webcenter to get the bridge. This makes me think whether you should use Oracle Portal or rather decide to go for Webcenter as development platform, especially if you have a J2EE background already.

I tried double tapping my home button and swiped to the right but did not help me. I am trying to straighten my message page that is stuck sideways and won't respond to shaking or turning phone around. What else can I do?

The front-facing camera is available for use even without FaceTime. If you are having issues with your front-facing camera, I suggest troubleshooting the issue:
Basic Troubleshooting Steps when all else fails
- Quit the App by opening multi-tasking bar, and swiping the App upward to make it disappear. (For iOS 6 older, hold down the icon for the App for about 3-5 seconds, and then tap the red circle with the white minus sign.)
- Relaunch the App and try again.

- Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
- Reset All Settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings)

To be able to access any Oracle database using PHP you require the following:
A server with Apache 2+ (Unix, windows etc)
PHP enabled using OCI8
tnsnames.ora
Oracle instant client and associated libraries
This gives you direct access into oracle database. As for E-Business, you will compromise the security and safty of of R12 by going in through php. Oracle is not likely to support it either.
I have got a apache/php/Oracle XE working on a test environment and Ithe performance is not a big issue. If you must I would hughly recommend Oracle Linux for quality and security. -

I upgraded the Pages version on my iPad and iPhone some weeks ago. The App has not synced previous data on both AND it's unstable on both. Luckily I didn't upgrade on my Mac where the old version is working ok!
You need the new versions of both to sync data between them. If you don't have the new versions on your Mac, they will not sync.
BTW, the new versions do NOT overwrite the old on Mac. When you install them, the old versions are retained. -

If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for the original owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. IF the iPad is working ok but is signed in to another users Apple ID use the Settings app to sign out of the old ID and sign in to your Apple ID.
Settings > itunes and App Store > tap on the applie ID and sign out > sign in with your Apple ID.
you should then be able to download or purchase apps using your Apple ID. -

Thank you very much for the blog's link, I found the solution in metalink, Doc ID: 382812.1 .
There are many causes that make JSF tags not being displayed properly.
For me, it was du to the web.xml file :
ADF Faces pages do not display correctly when using the FacesPageCachingFilter (ADF Faces Cache).
You can put the following lines in your web.xml file in comment during Design Time:

+<filter-class>oracle.webcache.adf.filter.FacesPageCachingFilter</filter-class>+

I comment the filter-mapping too :

Advise on maximum number of Active data ADF faces components on one page
How many active data ADF faces components (ADS configured in long polling transport mode) can we have on a page? Is there any restriction (eg: one factor could be max number of concurrent HTTP connections) ?
Can you please tell us which JDev version you are using? A use case would be appreciated too.
There has been a discussion on ADS here the last couple of days. Search the forum and you may find some useful info.

ADF FACES (10.1.3)---How to create custom service methods?
Hi,
I need to put some custom service method in my ADF Faces App. Tried the ways for 9.0.5 but in 10.1.3, there is no Data Action (Servlet, I believe). I was able to expose the method to the client interface, which means I can see the method in the Data Control Palette. When I try to add it to a JSP, it appeas to be either a link or a button.
Can I bind service methods to a submit button? How to do it? Thank you so much for the help.

i'm using one java class object called CD as complex datatype.i have created ths in separete class from my main class whc i m gng to expose as web service.
Ths CD complex type has three elements(Basic datatypes)
label(string),artist(string),price(int)
i have created xsd file for ths CD data type as u told.
Now While creating Web Service from java class,in third step of custom mapping
it asks for three things.
First is Java class
(Whc one i should specify...My main java class whc contains methods
or whc contains jst defination for CD type)
Second thing is XML qualified name - here i'l specify my schema whc i created
and Wht is tht third thing
Serializer Class ????
