Does Adobe have a way for my Windows C++ program to convert an HTML string to PDF?

Will the Acrobat SDK or another Adobe library or plugin enable my Windows C++ program (not .NET) to convert HTML to PDF? Thanks.

Our Microsoft C++ (not .NET) application is a server program that runs
tasks initiated by multiple end users via web, and places the resulting
files in a central location on the server computer. The files it produces
are currently HTML5/CSS that reference GIFs (also stored on the server)
but we would like to also convert these to PDFs and both store them on the
server computer and email them to users. We are currently converting these
HTML/CSS/GIF files to Microsoft MHT's but these are not very portable and
can be viewed only in IE.
So I guess we're talking about a site license or a server license for each
server program that we sell to one of our customers.

  • Does Adobe have a 'fix' for the problem of desktop icons turning into Adobe icons after a previous Adobe update?

After a previous Adobe update, all of my desktop icons turned into Adobe icons. I'm not sure how it happened - I just looked away from my computer for a second and when I looked back, there they were!
Does Adobe have a 'fix' for this problem?  I have had to uninstall Adobe in order to use my other programs, but I teach and I use Adobe documents quite often, so now I can't open those.

Try some of the solutions here ---> Application, file icons change to Acrobat/Reader icon

  • Does Adobe have a place for members to access graphics?

I just joined and downloaded CS14. Where do I access clipart? Does Adobe have a place for members to access graphics?

I think you probably mean that you are now a member of Creative Cloud and that you've just downloaded InDesign CC 2014. (If I'm incorrect, just let me know.)
There is a new feature just introduced the past couple days and it's called Creative Cloud Marketplace. Not much has been written about it, but here's the Help file and a posting by Terry White:
Creative Cloud Help | Creative Cloud Market
Adobe Creative Cloud Market is Here
The vector files are stored as SVG files which InDesign cannot place. However, you can open them in Illustrator CC and save them as Illustrator AI files which can be placed into InDesign or copied to InDesign.
    Good luck.

  • Does Adobe have a subscription for upgrades

    Hi,
Does Adobe have a subscription that allows for upgrades ?
    Thanks!

Yes you can do it with one license. However, you would need
to buy the license and then decide whether you want the download or
    cd/dvd shipped to you.
I would highly recommend if you have questions about
licensing for your business that you should contact either Adobe
licensing or a reputable 3rd party vendor like CDW.
The following are the pages in Open Options that explain the
    most:
    http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/openoptions/compare.html
    - That will show you that you are probably in the TLP program so
don't even worry about CLP. That is more for the public sector and
    super-large businesses.
    http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/openoptions/calculator/index.html
    - And the newly renovated calculator, wow that's an update from
what I used to use before. I think it is a little slower with Flash
as compared to that old javascript thing they used, but I guess
this is easier for them to update. Anyways, pick your region and
CLP Commercial. Then use the selector on the left to select the
program(s)/package(s) you need. After this is done it will show you
the points so you know what level you are purchasing at to know the
    discount rate of the product.
That is what the licensing specialists will use and it is a
good tool, but if you don't want to understand it just call.

  • Does Adobe have actual support for their products?

Or does Adobe actually rely on these forums and/or for the customer figure things out for themselves?
First issue is that all video playback within Premiere CS6 stopped working ( periodically it works for a few days then stops again) . After trying all the recommendations  (clearing out the cache, uninstalling and re-installing Quick Time, etc.) now the program does not even shut down  and after forcing the program to close, it actually is still  runs in the back ground using 1 gigabyte of memory.
I keep up on the maintenance of the machine (weekly and sometimes every day), install all the updates from Adobe, as well as the driver for the video card (directly from the vendor).
So has Adobe stopped provided updates for CS6 by coming out with the CC version? Perhaps the Creative Cloud subscription is not really worth the money since you get what you pay for value wise.
By just browsing through the forum, there appears to many issues, so how reliable is the product ?

Venting is fine, but really asking for help requires more information... and, as far as I know, CS6 is receiving NO further updates (but, since I don't work for Adobe, that may not be 100% true)

  • Having trouble opening a pdf with Adobe...keep seeing an error sign "acroExch"  does anyone have a way to fix this?

Having trouble opening a pdf with Adobe...keep seeing an error sign "acroExch"  does anyone have a way to fix this?

Hmm, "Use Adobe Reader" should launch the PDF outside of Firefox in the stand-alone Adobe Reader application, so seeing it in a tab is something of a puzzle.
Could you check your version of Adobe Reader? For Windows 7, you normally would have the Reader XI series (Reader 11), which has had several updates. From inside Adobe Reader, you can use Help > Check for Updates to make sure it's current.
In Firefox, could you check your Adobe Acrobat plugin version or possibly versions? You can view that on the Add-ons page. Either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins. If you find multiple versions, this can cause problems and may need to be cleaned up manually (post back on that for suggestions).
Sometimes, the settings file which stores those download handler preferences becomes corrupted and there's not much else to do than to rename or remove that file and let Firefox rebuild it.
To do that, open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
    * "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
    * (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
    * type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. This will launch a new window (Windows Explorer window) listing various settings files.
Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit, either:
    * "3-bar" menu button > "power" button
    * (menu bar) File > Exit
Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename '''mimeTypes.rdf''' to something like mimeTypes.old
Start Firefox back up again and "PDF Files" should be back to their default setting of "Preview in Firefox". Try changing that to "Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox)" and test to see whether there's any improvement.

  • Does Adobe have a plug in for Photoshop CS6 to open Nikon P7800 raw files?

I recently purchased a Nikon P7800 camera.  I am using a MacBook Pro computer and Adobe Photoshop CS6.  Does Adobe have a plug-in/update that will allow me to open the camera raw files?  If they do where do I find it to install it?

What version of Camera Raw are you currently using? You need at least version 8.3 but the latest version is 9.
Also, note this document: Adobe Camera Raw Help | Adobe Camera Raw 8.4 or later on Mac OS 10.6, Windows XP, and Vista

Our organization uses an Oracle database hosted on a Unix platform and one of our data processing outputs is a “stuffer” document that has a barcode, and Unix jobs automatically send the document to a printer.
Is there a way, or does Adobe have a product or solution, to create a PDF version of the document including the barcode, before it’s sent to a printer?

What format is the document that is printed? Or what technology is used to format the printer? There isn't a standard way of doing things in Unix.
