Does  Adobe Reader version 10 supports IPC-1752-1 v1.1 pdf file?

Does Adobe Reader version 10  supports IPC-1752-1 v1.1 pdf file?

I solved the problem. I used Internet Explorer, 64-bit. If I use Internet Explorer 32-bit the PDF-file displays in browser. If I use Internet Explorer 64-bit Adobe Reader X opens the PDF-file outside browser.

  • Adobe Reader Version 11.0.10 won't save pdf file as original file name

    We are currently using Adobe Reader Version 11.0.10.
    When we open and existing pdf file then make any changes (using the Fill & Sign Tab at the top right hand side) then click Save it won't save the file.  We have to re-name the file in order to save it.
    This was working ok back in January and wondered if there has been an up-date since then that has made this error occur?
    Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.  We have tried that but it has not made any difference.  Adobe still requires a new file name to save the file.

    What kind of advertisement?  In Adobe Reader?  Can you post a screenshot of that: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1070933
    Regarding the crash, can you try disabling Protected Mode through the registry: download, unzip, then run the registry script https://files.acrobat.com/a/preview/49eeb48b-07c5-4502-984c-8a25259914fa

  • Does Adobe Reader 8 support hostContainer?

    Hi there!
    I designed a form using LiveCycle Designer 8 and save it as a PDF.
    I access the PDF through a html page.
    The PDF worked all right if i using Acrobat pro 8,but when i using the PDF with Adobe Reader 8 it seemed that hostContainer can not work.
    In the "docReady" event i call the following function:
    function RegisterMessageHandler() {
    event.target.hostContainer.messageHandler = {
    doc:event.target,
    onMessage: function(message)
    onMessageFunc(message)
    onError: function(error, message)
    alert('PDF messageHandler onError: ' + error + ' ' + message);
    onDisclose: function(cURL, cDocumentURL) { return true; }
    And in the click event of a button i call this sentence:
    if(!event.target.hostContainer)
    app.alert( "No hostContainer obj" );
    else{
    I don't know why Reader failed.
    May be there is difference between Acrobat pro and Reader or the form need LiveCycle Extensions.
    Can someone give me some idea?

    Does/did Acrobat Reader 8 support creation of PDF files from word processor files such as MS Word and WordPerfect? I thought I remembered accomplishing this at one point, perhaps with an earlier version of Adobe Reader 8. Trying to do so now with the currently available version, 8.1.3, causes an error message.

  • After up grading to Adobe Reader XI why can't I open any PDF files?

    I am running windows vista and had been using Adobe Reader 8 - when I upgraded,  can not open any PDF files. When I attempt to open a PDF file, I receive the following messages:
    Update available
    Please take a few seconds to update Adobe AIR and get the very latest features. Acrobat.com cannot continue until you update Adobe AIR.
    after attemptng to down load the "update" I receive the following message.
    Sorry, an error has occurred
    This application requires an update to Adobe AIR but downloading that update was not successful.
    I have uninttalled all of my Adobe freeware & reinstalled statring with "adobe AIR" then "adobe Reader" and then attempted to opne a PDF file only to see the same  message

    Thank you Pat,
    I have already been there done that. I first  Un-installed all of my adobe freeware (reader, flash player, air. etc) then started reinstalling. First I reinstalled reader (latest version Reader X), same error messages. added AIR (latest version not listed - Last updated April 1st, 2012 -
    maybe that should tell me something), same error messages. I un-installed these two and reinstalled AdobeFlash Player,Adobe Shockwave Player,&Adobe Media Player, verifying that each worked after each reinstall of the next program everything was OK until I put Reader back on (NOTE: I dug all the way back to version 8 & still had the problem). for some unknown reason I finally right clicked on a PDF file on my desk top & was greeted with a the drop menu & he option of "open with" for fun I clicked on the "open with" & found that I had two options the first was a white Icon with the Stylized A and labeled Acrobat.com the second was the normal red Icon we all know & live
    when I reset the default to the normal red Icon everything began to work just as I have always had adobe reader work. Now I have no clue how or when I picked up the "Acrobat.com" program even worse it does not show up under programs on the control panel. When I have a few moments this evening, I will run a search for "Acrobat.com" & hopefully be able to remove it from my computer.
    Bottom line I don't know how I got the program which seems to have caused the breakdown of adobe reader but by resetting the default program to open PDF files it is now working as it should
    Thanks for the suggestion.
    Sincerely,

  • Adobe Reader 11.0.10 will intermittently not open PDF files

    On some user's computers Adobe Reader 11.0.10 will intermittently not open a PDF file. It will open fine 5 times in a row then maybe the 6th time it won't open. When it opens fine two AcroRd32.exe process start, when it does not open a single AcroRd32.exe process starts and will not go away unless you kill the process. The problem seems to go away if I turn off "Enable Protected Mode at startup" but I do not want to leave this disable.
    Thanks!!

    I don't have any inside information, but my experience over the last two years or so is that "Protected Mode" causes a plethora of different problems for (some) Windows users.  Disabling Protected Mode makes most of these problems disappear.
    Occasionally Adobe staff recommends to re-enable Protected Mode, and on a few occasions this actually works.
    The most baffling thing is that not all users experience any problems with Protected Mode; I myself have Protected Mode enabled on all Windows computers around me.

  • How do I upgrade Adobe reader - currentlyevery time I try to download a PDf file on my macpro I get a grey screen  and a dialog box that says adobe reader is blocked for this website...

    Help - a couple of weeks ago I tried up upgrade adobe reader but it never completed loading as far as I can find / that night would never finish
    ( how would I know , where would I check?)
    now every time I need to download a PDF file ( dental claim forms tonight) I get a grey screen with a dialog box that says Adobe reader blocked for this site
    and that happens on any site where I am trying to download a PDF…?

    What is your operating system?  Reader version?  Downloading from what browser?

  • Adobe Reader X v10.1.4 no longer sends pdf file to attached printer

    wants to save prn file.  (Adobe print command shows correct, default printer name.)  Printer works fine with other applications and used to print pdf files from Reader X even 2 weeks ago.  Windows 7 x64 with  MS Security Essentials - all systems up to date, no system changes (hard or soft) other than regular security and version updates.
    Ran Adobe Repair and rebooted - print command showing attached printer still asks where to save the prn file instead of sending job to turned on printer which works fine just before and just after Adobe fails to use it.  Will install older version of Reader, Adobe offers v9.5 if no one has a better solution since I am clueless.

    Thank you so much for trying to help.
    From your question I gather you have Reader X v 10.1.4 and have no trouble printing if you send to your printer.
    Alas I'm pointing to my one real printer, the Brother I'm sending the pdf file to print.  Worked fine for years until a few days ago.  Now when I hit "Print" on the bottom right of the below panel I get the "Save As" screen asking where I wish to save the pdf file name I'm trying to print followed by .prn.
    I have no problems in any other application printing.  If installing an earlier version of Adobe Reader proves it's not v 10.1.4 specifically, I'll have to try and send the prn file to the printer, perhaps by using the old DOS type command, or see if I can print pdf files on another system.
    You just made me think to try my backup PC with Adobe Reader X v10.1.0 - This works fine, both on its own printer and on the below named Brother attached to this system.  So the problem is either v10.1.4 or some interaction of Adobe with very recently installed Microsoft security or other OS updates for 64bit Windows 7.
    THANK YOU!

  • Adobe Reader 9 installed but can't open any pdf. file now

    I have been successfully using the Acrobat Adobe 8 with no problem until trying to download the Adobe Reader 9.
    I run on Windows XP.  Ever since downloading Adobe Reader 9....I can no longer use Acrobat Adobe at all.  I can not
    read or open any Acrobat Adobe files .pdf no matter what application was used in creating them or rather they were created by me or someone else.
    I get the error message that Adobe encountered a problem and had to close.  Someone PLEASE help.

    Repairing Acrobat after removing Acrobat Reader worked for me in the past. I would try that first before removing Acrobat.

    When you say that you have the same problem, do you mean that you are:
    1. Not able to download Adobe Reader;
    2. cannot view a PDF file;
    3. or what?
    Please be a little more descriptive of your particular problem or, better yet, start your own thread and clearly indicate which problem(s) you're having and what you have done, thus far, to correct the problem(s).
