Does Adobe still release updates for Flash Player 10?

Our users are currently on XP and are using Adobe Flash Player 10.3.183.18.
Does Adobe still release updates for version 10 or do we have to go to 11 to be up to date security-wise?

The latest update for Flash Player 10.x is 10.3.183.20; you can obtain the installers from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

  • Why does Adobe keep releasing updates for Acrobat that make the PDF print option diasappear?

I am really disappointed that after installing an update to  Acrobat 9 my PDF printer has disappeared from my printer list.
This is the second time this has happened. The last time this happened Adobe were still supporting Acrobat 9 and they ended up having to remote in to my machine to fix it.
Now I have to pay if i want that level of support!!! It begs the question why they release these destructive updates. Is it to force people to upgrade to X or purchase support.
Can anybody give me some instructions on how to manually install the PDF printer?
    I am running windows 7

Launch the Devices and printers setup utility through the Control Panel.
    2Select the \"Add a Printer\" option.
3Click the \"Next\" button and select the \"Local Printer Attached to This Computer\" option.
4Deselect (uncheck the box) the  \"Automatically Detect and Install My Plug and Play Printer\" option and  click the \"Next\" button.
5Select \"My Documents\\*.pdf (Adobe PDF)\" in the port selection drop-down menu and click the \"Next\" button.
6Select the \"Have Disk\" option and click the \"Browse\" button to open a dialog box.
7Select the \"AdobePDF.inf\" file  located in the AdobePDF folder in your Program Files directory under  \"Adobe,\" \"Acrobat 9.0,\" \"Acrobat,\" \"Xtras.\"
8Select the first item (top item) on the list of Adobe PDF Converter options and click the \"Next\" button.
9Type \"Adobe PDF\" in the field for a printer name and click \"Next.\"

  • To Bentley Wolfe, Adobe, re: Locked [ADOBE FYI] : Getting Support for Flash Player 10 and Issue Tracking post

    Hi Bentley,
I wanted to tell you that an important link you posted does
not work and says "Sorry, this page is not available".
It is in your post entitled "Locked [ADOBE FYI] : Getting
Support for Flash Player 10 and Issue Tracking post", and is at
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfmforumid=44&catid=184&threadid= 1400586&enterthread=y.
The link that is non-functional is "If you have issues
installing Flash Player 10, first troubleshoot your issues using
    http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer.
Read the technotes, do some testing.".
I just wanted you to know, since you have gone to all of the
effort of posting it. I apologize for having to start a new thread,
but I was unable to post to your thread, since it is locked and
    read-only.
This is the issue I am dealing with myself, and desperately
    need help with. :)
    Thank you so very much,
    Karen

    Hi Bentley,
I just noticed something. The link that I pasted, to your
post, does not work either. I noticed why, however, and it seems to
be why the link in your original page does not work, and why the
link in my post that goes to your post does not work.
It seems to be that if a link has a period after it (i.e., if
it is at the end of a sentence), the period is incorrectly included
in the "real" link. Somehow, whatever mechanism that processes the
post has a mini bug in it.
If you go to the link that is results in "Sorry, this page is
not available", and look up into the browser address bar, you will
see the period there each time.
I just thought that I would point this out, too, so that the
web techs in charge of the workings of the forums could look into
    it.
Here is the original link, without a period after it, to your
    original page.

  • Security update for flash player....did it install?

Yesterday on dec 16, I had a window pop up on my comp telling me that there is some security update for flash player so I clicked install and it was connecting and everything...then I allowed Adobe systems incorportated permission and all that stuff which was normal....then the adobe helper stopped working and I got a message saying that it will have to close the program......now I don't know...did the updates install or not...what were the security updates so I can check...any advice?

Hi, well DLM is Download Manager and sometimes it is used to D/L FP. It is supposed to disconnect after FP is downloaded. Go to Add/Remove, you should see Flash Player 10 ActiveX listed. If the Adobe Download Manager or DLM is listed Remove it from there and reboot. It is not supposed to be there after it serves it purpose.
The version is 10.0.42.34, I hope you just made a typo:-)
Also, if you are using IE, go to Tools>Manage add ons and look to see if you have listed Shockwave Flash Object......
ActiveX......Flash10d.ocx and that it is Enabled.  Be sure to check in "currently loaded" and "have been used".
In Firefox you would look in extenstions, add ons or plug-ins, look for SWF.
In order for FP to operate properly, you need the ActiveX in IE and the SWF plug-in in FF.
    Thanks

    Hi,
i'm a new member of this community. I've recently learn about flashback malware and other threats to Mac devices. I've installed the new Mac OS X update for Lion 10.7, and the flashback removal tool. What about the update for Flash Player? Should i install it? Otherwise, should i permanently remove this app?
    I realy need some advice.
    Thank's to all.

Be sure to install the latest version of Safari (version 5.1.7) which is available via Software Update (in the Apple menu) if you have not already installed it. This update will automatically disable older versions of Flash when new versions are available, and will instruct you on how to install the latest version on your system. This should help keep your system safe from any vulnerabilities in Flash.
Note that this is only useful if you use Safari, though other browsers have their own update mechanisms you should research and enable or configure to your liking.

  • Is Using the Automatic Update for Flash Player Safe? It is Installed In System Preferences On My Mac

    Hello-
One day I noticed that there was an icon on my MacBook Pro of Adobe Flash on the last row of system Preferences.  I had never seen it before, and I had ben using Flash for a long time and updating it regularly.
It recently told me there is a newer version.  I did not let it install it because I am having so many problems with viewing Flash Videos on websites.  I have a MacBook Pro, Mac OS X 10.6.8.  I use Safari 5.1.5, the latest as far as I know.
In using this automatic updater for Flash (there are actually several tabs when I click the Adobe icon not just the updater) in the Advanced tab of the Flash Player icon are there any special things I should do if I click yes update?  should I close all the windows, apps, Safari?  do a restart?  I am debating if I should do a Clean Install, wipe all Flash Player off the Mac and just install the latest version rather then letting the updater install the latest version, which I think is 11.2.202.228.  I currently have 11.1.102.64 with a bunch of video issues.
    Thanks for any assistance.

  • Why does Adobe sneak Google software into Flash Player updates?

Why does Adobe sneak Google Toolbar and Google Chrome into Flash Player updates?  I am tired of waiting for this alien software to download and, in some cases, having to uninstall it.

We don't like this yet tolerate it becaue ADOBE is unconcerned with OUR opinions and there is no suitable replacement for Flash or Reader as of yet.  However, I am certain that the "Land of Opportunity" will soon provide an alternative to accepting this deceiptful practice and we will abandon Adobe Flash en mass.  Only when this policy affects the price of stocks will Management take this seriously.  Once it hits their pocketbooks, they will take notice but the question then will be "is it too late?"  I am also looking for alternatives to Google and would appreciate any suggestions.

  • Regarding security update for Flash Player 9 (Flash Player 9,0,124,0)

We are facing issue in STOMP client because of newly
    implemented restriction on flash player.(
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/flash_player9_security_update.html).
Because of this, Our STOMP client is not able to get messages
    from activemq.
We have tried to add socket meta files as discussed in others
article but we were not able to get solutions.
    We have done below stuffs.
    1) Added LoadPolicy code in stompclient for getting
policyfile from server running on 80 port.
    2) Also set xmlSocket as load policy to get connection from
    stompclient to Activemq.
    1) PolicyFile.xml(loading this also in STOMPClient.swf)
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM
    "/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
    <!-- Policy file for xmlsocket://socks.example.com -->

    permitted-cross-domain-policies="master-only"/>

    <allow-access-from domain="*" to-ports="*" />

  • Getting error when trying to download update for flash player with OSX 10.91

Trying everything to download update for Adobe Flash Player. This is maddening. I have tried uninstalling previous player and re-installing and checked my preferences. Can any one give me some instructions that are easy to understand. I keep getting an error when installing.

There usually is an Adobe flash uninstaller that goes through a process satisfactorily.
Did you get the Adobe Flash update from their
    page, directly?  http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Also note the extensive info at Adobe link below.
If you are having trouble, or Safari is involved, if
you use a different browser, such as Firefox, etc to
get that version Flash update. There's another thing to
look into, in Mavericks, that older OS X didn't
    have, that may affect installation...
In System Preferences, find a Flash Player preference
under "Other." Click on the Advanced tab and then "Check
Now" in the Updates section. An available new one
would be installed. There is a similar issue/answer

  • Scam update for Flash Player

I tried to update my existing Flash Player when a prompt turned up on my computer, only to find out when it was too late that it was a Scam.
It uninstalled my exixting Flash Player and now will not allow me to reinstall Flash Player at all.  I have been trying for about three weeks now with no luck.
This happened once before and Flash Player came back of its own accord, but not this time.
    Please can anyone help me?

  • Installing Update for Flash Player

I have installed on my computer Adobe Flash 11 Plugin and Adobe Shockwave Player 11.6. I am composing a photo book with Shutterfly and encountering some problems. Shutterfly suggested that I clear the cache and cookies which I have done. They also suggested that I install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. I attempted to download; it begins to install and then stops. I have Malwarebytes......does it need to be disabled in order to install the Flash Player? If so, please tell me how to do this and reinstall.

Download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by right clicking one of the following links and selectiong "Save Target as" (IE) or "Save Link as" (other browsers).
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
Save the installer to your downloads folderv - DO NOT run it yet.
    Reboot your system.
BEFORE you opening anything else, locate and run the installer.

  • Away3D 4.0 update for Flash Player 11 beta

Congrats to the Flash Player team on the new release!
To mark the occasion, we have created a new repo for Away3D 4 that has a few minor updates to run correctly in the new player. update your sources by pointing your clients at:
    https://github.com/away3d/away3d-core-fp11
This will be the repo we will be developing in from now on, so please bear in mind that the broomstick repo will have no more updates as of today. It's been a wild ride, but we had to bid farewell at some point!
over the next few weeks we will be working towards an official beta release for Away3D 4.0. Any questions, please ask!
    cheers
    Rob

I'm just getting started with away3d, and a few problems that I ran into with my setup were the following,
When attempting to incorporate an away3d example in a flex app I kept only seeing a white screen.
    Which after some googling,
    http://groups.google.com/group/away3d-dev/browse_thread/thread/5e13cb2f0d21b5f2
turns out I just needed to set my application's backgroundalpha to 0.
I was then faced with only rendering a black screen as well, which for me turned out to be a problem rendering objects as default wireframes.
When I set a color material on my reference cubes and spheres all was well.
I'm sure there are other reasons why the sceen would render only black but hopefully for those having similar simple scene setup problems this will save them some time.

  • Does Adobe sell a web embedded flash player

    I need to embed
a flash player into a website. As the flash player will enable my client to play nearly all formats. The problem is that Adobe do not sell a player. Why not?

Time to learn how to use the program then. What about playlists can they be added with Flash CS3?
Using ActionScript, yes, Playlists can be added.
There's a forum for that too when the time comes.

    Hi andyold,
The latest Kindle Fire HD is not officially supported by Flash Player.  Please see this page for a list of all certified devices:
    Flash Player Certified Devices
That said, some users have been able to get Flash Player working on the Kindle Fire by using Dolphin, a third party browser.
