Does Adobe support runtime media hosting?

Hi Team, We are currnetly using lots of Adobe solutions but wondering if adobe supports runtime photo/video hosting. Essentially looking to allow our guest to upload their profile picture and couple more pictures of their life time events like wedding or baby birth. Also a moderation capability for the business teams to validate the content before its published. Do we have any such solutions in place?

Flash is not supported on the iPad - and as Adobe have announced that they are stopping development on all mobile versions of it, it probably never will be.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store.

If your document has fonts attached you can convert to Microsoft word that is quite possible. But if the fonts were used to create the file arent present in the system the Microsoft word may not be able to retain the layout of the document.
There shouldn't be any problem for ExportPdf service to convert your document.
To check fonts used for that PDF. Open PDF either in Reader or In Acrobat. Click on File go to Properties. Document Property windows will appear there is Fonts Tab. You will the fonts embedded for the document.

Does Adobe support use logmein123 to access client's computers?

After a 15 minute wait on my computer trying to get Photoshop support, I was asked to leave my
phone number and a representative would get back to me. When they called later in the day, the representative
wanted to access my computer. He had me type into a logmein123 address (I had never heard of this before).
The minute I pressed enter, a major warning from my cable company came on my screen warning me
that there were major security threats to my computer. The representative told me to hold on, I closed the screen
down, and then he had me go to join in to access my laptop and was able to fix my problem.
Is it normal protocol to use logmein123?

I have no idea whether support uses this. Only Adobe Support can say. But I do suspect that you are posting in the wrong forum. This forum is for the Adobe RoboHelp software product and it seems you are having issues with PhotoShop. That being said, I see no merit in moving the thread to the PhotoShop forum as it's really more of a general support question and not one related to PhotoShop, per se. I'm unsure exactly where such questions should actually be posted. I'll ask in another support forum and see where this thread should go.

File Data Source: does not support any other host except LOCALHOST?

I am using US 1.0.3.
This exercpt is from the OTN iLearn Subscribed course titled "Oracle9i UltraSearch New Features" on operating system file access:
"The file protocol is used only for the machine that launches the crawler. You can not specify any other host for this kind of URL, except LOCALHOST."
Does it mean that US 1.0.3 can not be used to search other file servers on the network? For example, we have US 1.0.3 installed on a server S1 which is on a network with other servers (e.g. S2). I want to use US to search files in the folder myDir on server S2. So I tried to create a file data source with this URL:
file://\\s2\myDir\
But I got this error:
Invalid file protocol URL: file//\\s2\myDir\
Hostname of the file URL "file://\\s2\myDir\ is not "localhost".
My question:
(1) Can US 1.0.3 search files on a different server than the one US is running on?
(2) If so, how to specify the URL using the above example for it to work?
(3) If not, how about the newer version of US, 9.2 or 9.02? Can they be used to search files on other network servers/drives?
(4) If no to question (3), is there any plan to support this in the future version of US?
My comment: Not able to search other servers really limits the userfulness of US. I really hope Oracle will consider adding this capability.

Since I posted my previous question, I have read on the 1.0.3 online help that we can define remote crawlers to crawl "on a remote machine other than the Oracle Ultra Search database". So I assume this is how to make US to search on other servers. In the online documentation it also includes the following paragraph on "Remote Crawler Profiles Page":
"Use this page to view and edit remote crawler profiles. A remote crawler profile consists of all parameters needed to run the Ultra Search crawler on a remote machine other than the Oracle Ultra Search database. A remote crawler profile is identified by the hostname. The profile includes the cache, log, and mail directories that the remote crawler shares with the database machine. "
The Remote Crawler Profiles Page, however, displays only remote crawlers already defined and the page seems to be used just for editing the porfiles of these defined remote crawlers.
My questions:
(1) How do I create the remote crawlers and defines the profiles in the first place?
(2) Where can I find more documentation on remote crawlers?
(3) Once the remote crawlers are set up, how do I specify the file URLs for each remote crawler?
(4) With US9.02 or 9.2, does remote crawler work the same as in 1.0.3, or are there any enhancements?

OCS 10g - Does it support multiple domain hosting

Hi,
We have installed OCS 10g for a domain university.edu
Now, It provides only two available domains as local domains. ie, university.edu and .edu
I would like to add some more sub domains (at least one more) such as college.university.edu to be a local domain in OCS for which it should accept emails.
It this simple feature of multiple domain hosting supported in OCS.
Kindly let us know some tips for it.

I configured the domain about 2 years ago, so I have to go and look in my archive (which is at the office, I will not be there before the end of next week).
The setup has 2 top level domains (one is .nl and one is .com). Under .nl about 4 domains are running, under .com only 1. If I remember corretly issues did raise with files. Calendar and mail are running as expected. This is on a 9.0.4 release though (not a OCS 10 R1 or R2). I did read loads of articles and had to patch even more. Luckily I printed all articles I read, so I can lookup the exect document numbers. If you can wait until next week, I can help you out.

Will (does) Adobe support Microsoft's new Surface 3 in terms of mobile apps?

I just pre ordered the Surface 3 as a replacement for an iPad 2. I'm hoping that Adobe will migrate some of the mobile apps that I currently enjoy over to the Windows 8 platform. I know that I can run the full versions of Photoshop, Illustrator ect. but it's the Adobe Color, Brush, Shape and the like that I'm interested in.

Does Thunar support a Media/Video/Audio tab in a file's properties?

Using Xfce and Thunar.
If I right-click a .jpg image and click Properties, there is an "Image" tab that displays metadata of the image, such as its resolution.
But I don't see a Video or Audio tab if I view a video or audio file's properties. I remember Ubuntu had this, for example, here. Is that because of Nautilus (which I don't have currently)? Or is there a way to add these tabs in?

The following custom action works for me in thunar:
ffmpeg -i %f 2>&1 | grep -e Stream -e Duration -e Input | zenity --width=480 --height=240 --text-info --title %n
with appearance conditions: Audio and Video files
requires ffmpeg and zenity

HT2801 DVD Player does not support this media

I was trying to use Bamboo and it will not read disc. I tried to use Nikkon disc and it will not read disc.

The DVD player you bought in the states as well as the discs are in NTSC format and in you part of the world the standard is PAL.

Single Sign-on support is only really available with a licensed deployment. With a hosted account you are limited to API's Adobe Connect 9 * Login and requests

Apple IOS is the leader in graphics, photography. The advertising states it is usable under both APPLE IOS and Microsoft 8.1 windows operating systems. Adobe Support Chat Sooraj tells me on 02/19/2015 that i must buy two computers to have it operate on both operating systems. Adobe will not support apple's Boot CAMP allowing both operating systems.
