Does Air 1.5 display icons in menuItems of a FlexNativeMenu?
I'm wondering if AIR 1.5 supports the display of icons on the [left] side of menuItems of a FlexNativeMenu?
thnx
g
No, there isn't any way to display icons for native menu items in AIR, whether you're using the FlexNativeMenu component or the raw NativeMenu/NativeMenuItem classes.

Macbook air 2012 not displaying icon on the top right corner
hi guys
as the title, my macbook air isn't displaying icon on the top right corner. for instance, my volume icon and wifi icon disappear. furthermore, ocaasionally there some flashes on my screen. this never happen to me before and i am reinstalling my OS 10.8 right now. Anyone know what is wrong with my laptop?Hi Matze_Moto,
It should not be an issue. What you are seeing is the ability to Mirror your display to an Apple TV. If you feel that there is an issue, click on the menu to see if it is actually connected to another display. Check out the article below for more information.

In the Applications tab -- Content Type -- the "portable document format" icon is a Word 2010 icon (not Adobe), so selecting Adobe Reader or preview in Firefox as action does not work to display the PDF. I can see this Applications difference because my other Firefox laptop has the Adobe icon, and I can view PDFs. Essentially, a PDF is coming in as a Word document -- and the computer tries to open it up as a Word file.
How do I get the correct PDF icon in the Applications list -- the same way it displays (and works) on my other laptop.Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 10.1.7 ?
I think you need to add this to the list of applications and the action to take on the type of content. This can also be managed in the about:permissions page. [[Permissions Manager - Give certain websites the ability to store passwords, set cookies and more]] -
TS1398 Why does my iPad2 not display the WiFi icon?
Why does my iPad2 not display the WiFi icon? I have implemented ALL of the troubleshooting tips, but my WiFi icon is still missing, and it will NOT recognize the internet connection that I know to work on my computer and iPhone.
Try the following:
1. Reset the AirPlay devices
2. Reboot the router
3. Reboot the iPad
Note: The AirPlay icon is now in the Control Center -
why does my preferred desktop display immediately switch horizontally to another display when I open an icon on the current desktop?
That's not a shortcut you are creating with "save as", you are saving a copy of the webpage to your desktop - hence the folder with files for that webpage.

Hi, can i use my macbook air as a display for my PS3?
Hi,
I want to connect my PS3 to my macbook air as its display. Is it possible?
If it is. what cable do i need?It can actually be done, yes. You just need an application called "type2phone", which is available in the Mac App Store. Note that it does cost $5 (kinda steep for a novelty).

Display icons in Network ui element
Hello everybody!
Im trying to display some hierarchies in a Network ui element. Generally, this works fine, but I'm not able to display icons with the elements inside the applet. The examples in the JNet/JGantt Developer Documentation use <icon/>-tags with the path to a gif file in the Type Repository section like this
<type name="SomeTypeName" inherits="SomeBaseTypeName">
<icon space="5">apps/orgchart/chief.gif</icon>
</type>
and the Type Repository documentation tells me to
Specify the relative address of the URL in relation to the code base of JNet.jar
(a file in your own JAR. file: apps/slm/icon.gif, for example). If
the relative path starts with apps, JNet automatically adds the
missing com/sap/jnet. We recommend that you use the relative path
wherever possible, because you can store the icon graphics in the same directory
in Perforce as the type repository.
But how would I determine the relative address of my icon files stored in my web dynpros src/mimes/components/<component name>-folder inside my WebDynpro jar/ear/whatever in relation to the code base of the JNet.jar which - I guess - would reside inside the WebDynpro runtime or somewhere else on the server, but not inside my own jar ? Or am I wrong about this ?
Thanks a lot
MichaelHi Christian!
That's what I tried in the first place. The result is something like
/usr/sap/XXX/J02/j2ee/cluster/apps/myCompany.com/my~webdynproapp/servlet_jsp/webdynpro/resources/myCompany.com/my~webdynproapp/root/Components/package.path.to.my.component/imagename.gif
but the applet does not find the image files. Since the JNet documentation says to specify the relative path from the JNet.jar code base, I'd have to find out where that is and calculate the relative path, but possibly this will only work inside a single jar (which I don't have since the JNet.jar is somewhere among the portal WebDynpro runtime components, I guess).
Preferrably, I'd like to have a look at a working example using the Network ui component with external icons inside a java WebDynpro. Propably someone has done that before...
Thanks

How to set icon on MenuItem, but not in JMenuItem?

My iPod Nano 6th generation fell one time and it kept working with a small crack in the screen.But after a while it just gave out and does not turn on.I try to charge it and all it does is blink the apple icon on and off.When disconnected nothing happens.

MBA mid-2012 does not see external display on wakeup
My mid-2012 MBA does not see external displays on wakeup. VERY annoying
I have a BenQ 24" HD display connected by HDMI and it is not seen by the Air on wakeup. I have to open the laptop, pull the mini-DV plug out 3 or 4 times before the display is recognised - some of the time. Most of the time requires a reboot with multiple cable/plug inserts.
What an absolute POS this mid-2012 MBA is! Apple finally fixed the garbage colours on external displays in 10.8.4 but the issue of recognisisng external displays remains. Its a crock. Totally regret buyiing this POS.
Have reset PRAM, SMS, cleared prefs etc etc ad nauseum. No solution with any of them. After almost a year of this garbage, the laptop is close to being thrown out as e-waste.macbook pro 13" 2012

Display Icon not shown during a Flash is running
Hi,
I have a Display Icon with text, which is shown all the time.
Only during the Flash movies are running, I want it not shown,
because the Flashs have the same dimensions as the presentation
window.
So I tried it with a variable. I gave the Display Icon the
variable "showText", so when "showText :=1" the text is shown; :=0
the text is not shown. Before the Flash movie Icon I set it to not
shown :=0, but it doesn't work!
Another solution is to erase the Display Icon before the
Flash movie Icon and to put it in again after the Flash Icon, so
that the text is to be shown again. But it will be plenty of work,
because I have many Flashs!
Does anyone has an idea, how I can handle this?
Many thank's for help!
hannahWhat if you set the display icon layer lower than the flash
layer. That way when the flash loads you will not see the display
icon contents and when you erase the flash the display icon is
still there. -
POWL, how to display icons
I've already seen some questions on this forum about displaying icons in POWL lists. However i cannot get this to work, as it seems so easy to do... Simply changing the fieldcat does not work for me.
I have created a feeder class and implemented the powerlist in my webdynpro, now i would like to create a column with status icons. See the coding, who knows what is missing/wrong?
Documentation for the POWL says:
ICON_SRC Source for icon display
ICON_SRC_REF outtab column reference determining icon source
ICON_FIRST Icon positioning
ICON_FIRST_REF outtab column reference for icon positioning
Field definition in structure:
ICON type ICON_D
ICONNAME type ICONNAME
In Method GET_FIELD_CATALOG, the following code:
ls_fieldcat-colid = 'ICON'.
ls_fieldcat-icon_src_ref = 'ICONNAME'.
INSERT ls_fieldcat INTO TABLE me->mt_fieldcatalog.
e_fieldcat_changed = 'X'.
c_fieldcat = me->mt_fieldcatalog.
In Method GET_OBJECTS
loop at lt_orders assigning <ls_orders>.
*.... code to change iconname
<ls_orders>-iconname = '@08@'. "Also tried 'ICON_GREEN_LIGHT' here
append <ls_orders> to me->mt_result.
endloop.
e_results = me->mt_result.
Edited by: Michael on Jan 5, 2011 8:49 PMHi Michel,
I think everything looks Ok, can you check the field catalog settings of your ALV. It is in IF_POWL_FEEDER~GET_FIELD_CATALOG, of your POWL feeder class.
The changing parameter c_fieldcat, you need to set the Field catalog for the column 'ICON' .
DATA ls_filedcatalog TYPE LINE OF POWL_FIELDCAT_STY.
Set the parameter as below.
DATA ls_fildcat TYPE POWL_FIELDCAT_STY.
ls_fildcat-colid = 'ICON'.
ls_fildcat-colpos = 'COL_NO'. "Column Number
ls_fildcat-Header = 'Rating'.
ls_fildcat-display_type = 'IM'. " for Image (Important)
ls_fildcat-eabled = 'X'.
ls_fildcat-icon_src_ref = 'REF'. " The Reference field of the POWL atble data in which the icon path or name is populated
ls_fildcat-icon = 'ICON_LED_RED'. " use only one of these two, icon-src_ref or icon
APPEND ls_fildcat TO c_fieldcat.
I hope this should work, if the changes doesn't reflect then claear the cache of POWL using report POWL_d01.
Please let me know in case if you still face any issue.

NT Desktop Perference display icon is not working
Hello:
I am using ConsoleOne version 1.3.5 to manage our Novell servers, there
is an User Package object, in Policies -> WinNT-2000 -> NT Desktop
Preference -> Properties -> Desktop Preferences -> Settings, there is
a "Display" icon to allow us to setup Wallpaper under the roaming profile
for all workstations, but when I click on it, it is not working, please
advise.
Thanks.
KevinIf you are running a local copy of ConSlowOne try running the .exe from
the server - I have found that some of the ZEN features don't work running
from a copy of ConSlowOne on the workstation.
