Does AIR run on a desktop but get updates through the web?

i'm trying to figure out if AIR is a solution for a project I have. We have Flash CBT programs that were up till now deployed via disk. The company has gotten very large and its too combersome to have to update all their locations by disk. They want all updates to come from a centeral location on their web server. Thsi Flash application is much too robust for standard web deployment. A lot of images and audio and a 2 hour run time. Is it possible with AIR to just publish the Flash application out as AIR and have it run on each stores desktop but have it get updates via the web?

Yes you can make an AIR application that's updated through the web, even automatically if you want. The AIR application runs locally and only gets stuff from servers when it's specified to do so. What do you mean with "a shell that pulls in lots of different files works with AIR?"

Go to sounds in system pref and select outputs. When the hdmi cable is plug into the tv it will show as an option under output. Just select that option.

The other HD Audio device is likely to be the Realtek ALC880 8-channel High Definition onboard sound. This is a bit of a decision point. If you plan on always using the AMD High definition Audio as your default ouput through an HD TV with HDMI out, then you can disable the Realtek HD audio device. Once that is done then restart the PC. Go to the Control panel and select sound, now sellect the AMD HDMI out and right-click and select it as the default. There should now be a green checkmark next to it. Now you can select Configure to test it.

I am running windows 8.1 but want to use the desk top version of skype. When I try to install the latest version of skype I get the following message
"A Previous program installation was never completed. You need to restart your computer to complete that installation before running skype set up. Set up will now close"
I have restarted my computer many time and still get the same message. I have even uninstalled skype and tried to re-install it but I still get tha same message.
Can you help sort this out?

Can I download the program online somewhere? If I download a trial version for instance will it allow me to enter my serial number and use it for the full program?

IOS5 on iPad1, iPad2 and iPhone4S all with iCloud on. Lion 10.7.2 installed on my MacBookPro and iCloud set up/on. Any new iCal entry on either iPad or on the iPhone ends up via iCloud on both iPads and iPhone. BUT NOT ON THE MacBookPro. And iCal entry on the MacBookPro does NOT GET SENT to iCloud.com or to either iPad or the iPhone. This is a huge problem for me because I do all my office scheduling on the iPad or iPhone but rely on the MakeBookPro to print out daily client lists. I also have Jolly's problem. I found the iMovie 9.0.9 folder and tried to launch the older version of iMove. It would not launch. I removed all of the iMovie preferences from the Preferences folder, removed iMove 10 from the applications folder, and restarted my Mac. iMove 9.0.9 still won't launch and I can't access my videos created with the older version of iMovie. Is there a way to uninstall iMovie 10 and reinstall iMovie 9.0.9?

What black background?
If it is black background in the actual photo:
Menu > Format > Instant Alpha > drag the cursor over the colored background you wish to remove

It appears all the time already from the beginning after installing Firefox 4.

Thanks a lot. The Ask toolbar created this problem. Another problem is: When searching on the web via Google, normally it is possible to type a few letters and then look what appears and then click on the wanted word(s). A number of word(s) ineed do appear, however it is not possible to select any of them as ws possible as mentioned in olders versions.

Look in your applications folder for the installer - Install OS X Yosemite. Delete it. Then go back to the App Store purchases tab and see if you can download it. You might have to re-index Spotlight.
