Does AIR runtime supports Windows 7 64 bit?

Hi,
Since Windows 7 is around the corner and will have a 64 bit version also, I was wondering if AIR Runtime supports it or not? I am planning to release a AIR based app and want to make sure that it works on 64 bit Windows 7 also.
Any news from AIR guys at adobe?
Thanks.
Gaurav

I am not on the AIR team, but happened to run across this MS Win Vista 64-bit Compatibility report:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/Details.aspx?type=Software&p=Adobe%20AIR&v= Adobe&uid=1&pf=1&pi=8&c=Enterprise%20Applications&sc=Application%20Development&os=64-bit

  • Does JRE 6 support Windows Vista 64 bit with AMD64?

Although I have installed JRE-6-beta2-windows-amd64 and JRE-6-beta2-windows-i586 seperately and together on my AMD 64 system running Vista RC1 Build 5727, java does not appear in The Control Panel, nor is it mentioned anywhere in Internet Explorer Options.
    So, is this configuration supported?
As a side issue, is this why Flash Player won't install either?

  • Does Photoshop CS5, Elements 8 and Lightroom 3 support Windows 7 64 bit Home Edition?

Does Photoshop CS5, Elements 8 and Lightroom 3 support Windows 7 64 bit Home Edition?  Any issue installing these products on a new PC when I already have it installed on another PC?  I am getting a new PC to replace XP machine I already have.

Yes, Photoshop runs on all editions of Windows 7 as far as I know.
And the Photoshop EULA does give you the option to install and activate the software on a second machine.  Once you no longer need the XP system, assuming it's still functional, just deactivate the Adobe software on it and you'll be able to have the same flexibility again in the future.
If ever you have a licensing agreement question, all the EULAs are online here:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/eulas/
A side note:  Windows Home Premium may do all you need for now, but keep in mind there is a Windows Anytime Upgrade you can buy in the future that will allow you to move up to a higher edition of Windows 7 later if you should feel you need more features.
This page has some information on that, and also describes the edition differences pretty thoroughly.  I especially like the nice table they've built:

  • Snow Leopard 10.6.8 does not recognize my windows 7 64-bit .iso disc.  PLEASE HELP!

Macbook Snow Leopard 10.6.8 with bootcamp 3.0 does not recognize my windows 7 64-bit .iso disc.  I recently used it on my mountain lion macbook pro with no trouble. I partioned the disk and when I insert disc and hit continue, mac says it cannot recognize the windows install disc. What could be the problem? Please help, really stuck!

I was able to import photos in iPhoto and Image capture when I was running SL 10.6.8 on my older MacBook.
Did you try quitting everything, restart the Mac and then try again?
Are there any updates at all for the Mac? I was helping one user not all that long ago and there were updates for her Mac software that had nothing to do with the OS and when she downloaded the updates - the iPad was then recognized in iTunes.

  • Does SAP BW support Window vista.

    hi Friends,
Does SAP BW support Window vista.
I have got a laptop with Vista, I have installed SAP BW in external Harddisk. Can I connect with VMWare on window vista of my laptop.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Alykya

-> what do you mean "installed on external disk"?
sap needs to be installed locally...some parts, eg. databse files etc. can be spread over sveral disks...but on windows all information needs to be in the registry...
you could install vmware under vista, create a new virtual machine using for example windows 2003 server and install sap into that vm...

I can't run iPod utility for Windows in my Windows 8 . does this apps support windows 8 ?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
iPod Utility for Windows hasn't been updated for a long time, so it's probably not supported in Windows 8. Have you tried to run it in compatibility mode?

  • Why does Verizon not support Windows 8 for wi fi?

Why does Verizon not support Windows 8 for wi fi?  Are they planning on supporting Windows 8?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Verizon wi fi for hot spots does not work with Windows 8.  For verification go to FAQs about Verizon Wi-Fi for FiOS Internet,
http://www.verizon.com/Support/Residential/Internet/fiosinternet/networking/setup/wi-fi/124650.htm , and click on How do I know if my laptop or netbook is compatible with Verizon Wi-Fi? .  Verizon wireless home network does work well with Windows 8.
Since you can't even download the wi fi for hot spots software if you have Windows 8, I don't know how to use compatability mode to get around the problem,

  • Does TCS2 Support Windows 7 64-bit PC?

    Hello,
I have TCS2 installed on a Windows 7 64-bit computer. I also have all of the TCS2 and Windows 7 updates installed. When I try to generate a MS HTML Help project in RH, RH consistently crashes at the same point during the process. I used the "link" feature with a FM book and not "import" feature.
Since then I've installed TCS2 on my Vista 32-bit computer at home and have been able to generate the CHM file I need. I've poured over the forum and also searching google looking for solutions and am now wondering if TCS2 just isn't supported on a Windows 7 64-bit machine. Can someone verify that for me? At this point I don't know if upgrading to TCS3 would even help because it would need to be installed on the same Windows 7 64-bit computer.
    Thank you for your help,
    Donna

    Hi Matt,
Thank you for your reply. I appreciate your time. I did rebuild the RH project, 3 times actually. Each time RH crashed at the same point. The FM file had all the required resources (images referenced & cross references in place). I purposely used a very small FM book - only 1 chapter file.
Today IT installed Windows 7 32-bit on my PC to see if that would help. It didn't. I wasn't able to update or generate in RH at all. The did receive an error message though that said the "import session" did not complete...something to that effect.
So anyway, very very frustrating to say the least. I have another question. Does TCS v3.5 support a Windows 7 64-bit PC? The specs mention Windows 7, but I sure don't want to assume that includes 64-bit after the week I've had mucking with this.
Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it.

  • Firefox disabled by flash plugin telling me to update to new version. I can't update to the lastest Adobe flash player 11, because it does not support Windows Vista 64-bit. So now what am I supposed to do?

I have Windows Vista 64-bit. I can't play on-line games on Pogo. I already contacted Pogo & they told me to update flash player. Firefox disabled by plugin for flash. I can't get the most updated Adobe flash player because it doesn't support 64-bit.

  • Blckberry Storm Does not Work on Windows 7 64 Bit Nor on Outlook 2010

Well I have been trying to get this @*** thing working for the last @*## week.  My Dell was fried by a power spike.  The Blackberry was in my pocket well away from the power spike.  My current configuration is:
    Windows 7 Home Premium
    Acer Aspire 7540
4 GB of Memory  64 Bit Operating System
Blackberry Storm 9530, Platform Version 4.2.0.179, Application Version 5.0.0.419
    1.  I have installed the latest version of the Desktop Software via downloiad.
    2.  I spent most of today with tech support from Telus.
    3.  Neither MSS or MTP will work.  We have installed and reinstalled all of the software atleast 3 or 4 times.
    4.  The Windows troubleshooter knows there is a problem and fails.  It says (really helpful).  USB Mass Storage Device has a driver problem.  It also tries to install the MTP driver and fails.  What is strange is that there is some communication going on between the Blackberry and the PC.
    5.  I can not get anything off the Blackberry (photos etc.).
    6.  The Blackberry does not work with Outlook 2010.
How can RIM possibly stay competitve when they can not even support the two largest platorms out there (Windows 7 64 bit and Outlook 2010).  This is a symptom of massive problems for the future of this company.
I can not talk to RIM.  They want me to talk to Telus.  Telus says there is nothing they can do.  I basically have a Blackberry that is little more than a simple phone.  If the @#*# thing did not cost so much I would just pitch it and get an iPhone.

    As was stated above:
    1. Go to Options >> Media Card (or Memory)
(some themes or BlackBerrys may call this "Settings >> Media Card")
    2. Check the following settings (if they are not listed this way, then change to reflect the following:
    a) Media Card Support: On
    b) Mass Storage Mode Support: On
    c) Auto Enable Mass Storage: Yes
    3. Save the settings and exit

  • Installing .air file on Windows 7 64-bit

This batch command works in XP and in Windows 7 32-bit, but not in Windows 7 64-bit:
    @echo off
    REM
REM  Set location to install to.  (This dir must exist or install wont work!)
    REM
    set INSTLOC="c:\producthelp"
    REM
    REM  Install help.
    REM
    AdobeAIRInstaller.exe -silent -eulaAccepted -location %INSTLOC% "Product Help.air"
(product name replaced with Product.) We are using the latest (today's) AdobeAIRInstaller.exe.   We have tried using identical syntax to install other .air files from the Adobe site; they did not install either. Is there something simple we're missing here?  Is there a known issue with installing .air files on 64-bit Windows 7?  I couldn't find one at this site.

I think the reason you have had no reply is that no one has an answer. The only thing I can think of is to ask if the AIR file installs if you run it normally rather than from a batch file. If it does, then you know where the problem is but I cannot help you with that.
