Does Aironet 1100/1120/1130 support for IPv6 ?

Experts,
I find much document, but not found information about whether those support for IPv6 e.g. dual-stack like newer series.
Has anyone used to test on those?
Thank you in advance for any info,
Nipat.p

Hi,
When working with WLCs if you are running code 7.2 you will be able to support IPV6 but this code is only supported by the latest model of WLCs and the APs that are supported under this code.
On previous WLCs models that support up to code 7.0, the WLC only handles IPV6 pass through after code 6.0 since it does not support native IPV6.

  • Support for IPv6 DHCP or RDDNS

    Hi,
I'm deploying IPv6 on our company and found out there is not possible way to automatically get DNS servers for IPv6 for mac computers, since it doesn't support dhcpv6 or the extensions for RA in stateless configuration mode.
Any word on when are this features going to be available?

It's really rather ridiculous DHCPv6 isn't implemented in OS X yet. I can (possibly) understand this for 10.4 and 10.5 but 10.6 is going to run into IPv6 deployment scenario's and should be able to handle all cases. I hope to God 10.7 has decent v6 support throughout OS X.
As far as I know, the dhcp-client used by OS X is the KAME project client, now known as WIDE-DHCP which does have support for DHCPv6 and has so for a long time. Why Apple is so reluctant to include this feature in both iOS and OS X is quite the mystery.

  • ACE module support for IPv6 ?

what is the latest on IPv6 support for ACE module? I saw something saying 2HCY10, but that's where we are now. Any documentation pointers to current compatability and or roadmap are greatly appreciated.
    thanks
    Bob O.

As mklemovitch described in the following thread, IPv6 will be
supported on ACE30 module but not in the initial release.
There is no plan for ACE20 module.

I'm not sure but maybe around Q3 CY11 or later.
I cannot see the documentation regarding this feature on CCO.

  • Why does MSI P4N have no support for Intel Preslor and Asus Nforce 4 does??

Well as you've probably guessed it im new to the forums (howdy all  ). I currently own a MSI P4N diamond motherboard and quite frankly i most dissapointed with what has been called (by too many reviewers) a great board.
First off i see very little changes taking place with each bios update, of which does not seem to happen regularly at all. (lets face it no board is perfect especially the Nforce 4 range from MSI for Intel CPU's).
Secondly overclocking a Pentium D 830, which i may add should be capable of overclocking very well on an Intel Nforce board, can barley reach 3.4 Ghz (i know its mobo issue as the CPU is water cooled and overclocks to way beyond 3.7 on an 955X board).
Thirdly the North bridge fan was poorly stuck on my motherboard in that on installing my motherboard into my case it popped off like the lid of a pringles tub by a slight movement of my hand  .
And last but least... why does the MSI P4N diamond motherboard not support Intels latest 65nm CPU's when ASUS's and Gigabyte's Nforce 4 motherboards work well with the Pentium D and the 65nm range of Intel CPU's. Upon also reading about the next gen of Intel CPU's the Conroe, the 975X motherboards will support the future CPU via a bios update and it has been said that the same is likely to happen for the Nforce 4 range... however once again due to the lack of support for the MSI P4N diamond by MSI i believe all of us owners of this pathetic (an over statement really but its going to be that way if MSI keeps this up) over hyped motherboard will get a simple NO in the CPU support table for the next gen range of CPU's.

Where did you get the information regarding the MSI P4N diamond's release date?
Are you in the United Kingdom? As it was released at the same time as the other Nforce 4 boards here (i was on the edge of my seat waiting for the Nforce boards to be released on overclockers.co.uk for sale) In the end though i bought my mothreboard in October, which is a good few weeks after release.
Is there any kind of SLI 32 on MSI's plans? this is what worries me as they have made a move in the 975X department but have not made any further developmentes in the Nforce range for Intel, which to the average joe kind of indicates loss of intrest in this field from the company.
I am overall pleased with my motherboard, when using a single core CPU, as overclocking was a sheer joy, but as soon as the dual core CPU went in the mothreboard behaves like a drunk man coming from a pub. I am aware that the Nforce 4 chipsets struggle with the dual core CPU's but surely Nvidia were informed by Intel about the dual core CPU's being released in the future.

  • Does intel latest  mother boareds support for the Solaries 10 OS

Hello Friends this is Mr.MA.Prakash from India. I want to know intel latest mother boards not supporting solaries 10. i tried installing on some intel mother board numbers.
please suggest, which intel latest mother board support for the solaries 10 operating system.
    thanking u.
    ma.prakash.

I've had a fun time last week setting up an Intel MFSYS25 blade server and MF5000SI quad-core Xeon blades with Solaris 10.
I only had Solaris 10u4 (8/07) on hand, and it only worked in 32-bit mode (boot with kernel/unix explicitly specified, as in Safe mode descriptor).
However adding patches (back from Jan 2008) helped, and the system works fine in 64-bit mode.
I believe it should work with Solaris 10u5 since it includes these patches and newer ones, but haven't checked.

  • ISE: support for IPv6 DACL's

    Hi,
Does anyone know if/when ISE will be able to push out IPv6 dynamic acl's? I have not managed to find any information on this other than an old post here: https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11795676/ise-support-ipv6-dynamic-acls
    Thanks,
    Phill Macey

It's not supported as of the current ISE 1.3.
I've heard it is planned for a future release but there's no announced or committed date as of yet.
If your're working with a partner or Cisco account manager, be sure to officially request it if it's important to you. Customer requests help build the business case for prioritizing the features.

  • Support for IPv6

    Hi all,
As i understand that IPv4 may run out as early as nxt mth. And we may need to use IPv6. Hence i would like to know if the following devices support IPv6.
    1)cisco asa 5510/5505
    2)cisco pix 515e
    3)cisco 2811
    4)cisco 1811/1841
    5)cisco 837
    6)cisco 1720
How are you planning the transition from IPv4 to IPv6? Pls advise, thks in advance.

The whitepaper link lists software version information you'll need to know to determine if your devices are currently IPv6-capable.  If they are, you should check out the IPv6 resource center at http://www.cisco.com/ipv6 for more on addressing, configuration, advanced IPv6 features, managing an IPv6 network, etc.

Hi everyone, do you know that whether Cisco routers support “IPv6 Router Advertisement Option for DNS Configuration RFC 5006” currently, is there any roadmap for this support? Thanks for your help!

No, this is not currently supported, and the last I heard, there is no roadmap for this until it becomes a standard (as opposed to being experimental).

  • Does MMX400R wifi pocket router support for iPad?

I'm using iPad wifi module.  I'm planning to purchase MicroMax pocket router 400R. I just want to know the pocket router will support iPad.

no i don't think it does wps. but i think you can still configure the wireless router with the ipad. if you connect to it, just type in the gateway address into safari, logon, and configure
    uncle_tungsten wrote:
Sorry, I left out an assumption.  The router has not been configured; there is no configured SSIS, username, or password.  The wireless router requires an Ethernet connection be made with a PC, to connect to the IP address of the router and configure it.
In my case, I want to configure without using a PC.  The router supports the WPS protocol which does not require configuring the SSIS,username, password.  My question was whether the iPad supports that protocol.  Then, I should be able to enable WPS and click the WPS start button on the router.  The iPad should then connect.

  • IPv6 Multicast support for service providers 6PE / 6VPE

    Hi,
Can anyone comment on the current state of development for IPv6 Multicast support for Service Providers who are using 6PE or 6VPE in their MPLS core.
(6PE - SP is running MPLS in its IPv4 core, it uses IPv6-enabled provider edge (PE) routers to transport IPv6 traffic over an IPv4-only enabled core. 6PE does not support VPN,s it just provides a mechanism for tunneling IPv6 packets from ingress PE to egress PE routers)
(6VPE - refers to a PE router capable of supporting IPv6 VPNs. A 6VPE solution can be used to provide IPv6 based layer 3 VPN services in a similar way to IPv4 based Layer 3 VPN services.)
My understanding is that 6PE and 6VPE solution are unable to support IPv6 multicast traffic.
Any further information on configuration, design or development work in the pipeline would be gratefully received,
    kind regards John

    Hi John,
From our question I understand you are sking about the MVPN support for IPv6 multicast. It is actually supported on the XR platform as of now. Please refer:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/xr12000/software/xr12k_r4.0/multicast/configuration/guide/mc40mcst.html#wp2890031
    I hope this helps.

  • IPv6 support for oci

    Hi,
I am using oci.dll 10.1.0.4. I would like to know whether it supports IPv6?
In all forums related to IPv6 support for oci I find it redirected to IPv6 support Oracle database 9i and 10g (which do not support IPv6), but my question is whether the interface library support IPv6?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,

No, there is no support for IPv6 in any part of 10g; you need at least 11.1.0.6. See Meatlink Note 579222.1.
