Does AME upgrade as well

Question

I have adode CC. Media Encoder has been working flawlessly for some time I stayed with 7.0 everything was working so well I didn't want to move.. But then  about a week or so ago, I would encode from PPRO to AME -  activate queue and AME would crash as well as PPRO,  but if you hit export instead of queue from PPRO it works fine. I then took the step and upgraded everything Premiere to 7.2.1 etc, I upgraded everything, to my surprise AME still crashes from PPRO when you activate queue, but if you hit export it works fine.
I then looked at the AME root structure %appdata%>Roaming>Adobe>AME. There were 3 folders in AME 7.0,7.1,7.2. The only folder with related AME applications was 7.0. My question is this, does AME upgrade when you upgrade all your applications? Why is the 7.0 folder holding the AME related applications and the others are empty? Lastly do I have to erase all applications to update AME.

put the phone in dfu mode by plugging it into the computer, turning it off holding both home and power button for exactly 10 seconds, then release power and keep holding home for another 10 seconds,you should hear a noise from the computer and itunes will say it detects a phone in recovery mode and you must restore, then just restore. when in dfu mode the screen will be black, if you see the plug to itunes youarent in dfu mode,try again.
jailbreaking is bad and i think it is frowned upon here, so please dont talk about that stuff here
