Does any cd-rom work with my Mac?

Most do work.  You don't have to buy Apple's superdrive.

  • Does Mighty Mouse only work with desktop Macs??

I just bought an Apple Wireless Mighty Mouse, assuming it'd work with my new Leopard OS X Macbook. I followed the instructions on the Mighty Mouse booklet...but no installation start-up window ever appeared. I'm a beginner with Apple, so I figure I've done something wrong....does the Mighty Mouse only work with desktop Macs and not MacBooks?
    Please help if you can.

Ah! sorry, my mistake! "wireless" was the key word. And yes, prior to my new mighty mouse, I also used the wireless one. And you need to do the following:
    1) Turn bluetooth ON (either from finder icon (you can have it placed on your finder bar by tick box in sytem preferences/bluetooth.
    2) Then, you need to "pair" your mouse via bluetooth setup assistant.
    3) once "paired" off you go.

Not even Vuescan will make it work in OSX...
VueScan works with the Canon 4200F on Windows.

Appears only way would be Bootcamp, Parallels, etc. running Windows on the Mini.

  • Dashland plug in does not seem to work with my mac using version 33.1

I've followed instructions on uninstalling and then reinstalling the dashland plug in of my Mac using version 33.1. I just upgraded to 33.1 and Dashland is not working at all. Is there a workaround? Could I use the older version 33.0 until there is a bug fix with Dashland?

Several users have reported an issue with Dashlane according to comments on their Facebook page (note I do not use this software myself). However, this does not appear to be a Firefox issue, so you should contact Dashlane to see how you can get this problem resolved:

  • Does any sd card work with the lighning to sd card reader and is it compatible with the iPod touch 5

Does anyone know if its compatible???????

    Jo,
Since you mentioned 500MHz, I imagine you have the Powerbook (FireWire) M7572 "Pismo". If so, it can use an original AirPort card installed under the keyboard; this is the only card that will work. You can see a PDF here:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=50028
This card is the slower 802.11b (11Mbps) and is supported by Apple's AirPort software in both 9.x and 10.x. However, since the card is no longer made, vendors are charging $100 and higher for used cards.
You can also add a third-party WiFi PC card to the PCMCIA/CardBus slot on the left side of your Pismo. The card below is fully supported by Apple's AirPort software in 10.2.8 and newer but will not work under 9.x. It is also the faster 802.11g 54Mbps speed.
    Here is the Buffalo WLI-CB-AG54 AirStation 802.11 b/g/a 54MBps Wireless PC-Card:

  • Does ANY Adobe Flash work with ANY FF version w/o crashing???

Have tried many versions of FF AND Flash Player but CANNOT STOP Flash Player from crashing while trying to STREAM videos to watch. Have tried all the simple fixes and they do not work. Any help?

Only the Nightly development version has any Shumway preferences right now, as that project is a long way from being finished.
See this for information about Shumway: http://mozilla.github.io/shumway/
It is available as an extension now - look under '''Try it out!'''
    https://github.com/mozilla/shumway/wiki
If you want to help in the development of Shumway, see this page:
    https://github.com/mozilla/shumway/wiki/Debugging-and-Configuring-Shumway#using-the-extension
Please update to the latest Firefox 30 version. Even though the Shumway project was begun well over a year ago, Firefox 25 may not have all the "fixes" needed for the latest version of the Shumway extension.

  • Will any vga cable work with all mac minis?

WIll it or just apple vga branded?

They should, but you will need a VGA to DVI adaptor. I thank that adaptor ships with the mini.

  • Does macbook air superdrive work with mac mini

I have an older mac mini running 10.5.8.  Does the macbook air superdrive work with my mac mini?

Be careful to check the spec's, not all LG's support Mac OS X.
I really like my LG GE24LU20 Reviews it's big and bulky, but way faster and more reliable than any SuperDrive. Others here have also recommended the  GP10 DVD and Blu-ray™ Drives IT Products
    Plus, don't forget to look at > LaCie - LightScribe DVD±RW, Duplicators and Blu-ray - USB 2.0 & FireWire
and > SuperDrive DVD, DVD Dual-Layer, CD-R/RW, Blu-Ray Optical Drive Solutions FireWire, USB2, eSATA

  • My mac's keyboard is not working with my mac.the green light blinks and i cannot get onto my mac. everything on the support questions does not help because i cant go on the mac and i cant sign in

my mac's keyboard is not working with my mac.the green light blinks and i cannot get onto my mac. everything on the support questions does not help because i cant go on the mac and i cant sign in

If you can't sign in, then you can't troubleshoot and/or pair the keyboard until after that........ so, for that, you will need to borrow someone's USB wired keyboard in order to get signed in and to the Keyboard Bluetooth Preferences.

  • Does The Apple USB Modem Work With The Mac mini ??????

Just wanted to know if anyone has successfully used the new Apple USB Modem with the Mac mini, is it compatable ????
Thank you for your input on this.
    Mike D.

It says it works with the Mac mini, but does it really? I just received my modem yesterday and could not get it to work with my 1.42 mini - the more expensive one that comes without a dialup modem! I looked carefully at the specs and it appears the Apple USB modem requires Mac OS 10.4.3, not the 10.4.2 that comes with the Mac mini.
Talk about stupid! And the mini docs say it comes with the "latest" version of Tiger. Not! So I can download the upgrade, I guess. IF I could get on the internet! This is extremely annoying. I guess I'll have to download the upgrade on another computer and transfer it somehow. Boy, those Apple guys sure are tech geniuses, aren't they???

  • Does ipod touch only work with wi-fi? Can I download games through home mac?

Does ipod touch only work with wi-fi? Can I download games through home mac?

iPod touch is Wi-Fi only, yes. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by games from home Mac, but you can purchase game apps in iTunes and sync them to your iPod.
    Merry Christmas.

  • Does the hp mini wireless mouse work with a mac?

Does the hp mini wireless mouse work with a mac?

The only one that will work with OSX is the one you order with the Mac Pro from Apple. The others don't have the correct firmware for OSX.
I've also noticed that the online store lets have an option for the QuadroFX 5800 to purchase with a Mac Pro
No, it's the NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600. That is the only way to get it. NVIDIA does not sell it directly.

  • Does Apple USB modem (or any USB modem) work with Telix under Boot Camp?

I know, it's one heck of an obscure and specific question. But it just so happens to be critical to whether I try and use an Intel Mac (new, with Leopard, under Boot Camp) as a PC (where a PC would be a lot easier as far as having a built-in 56k modem goes). By Telix I mean the most "recent" version of Telix for Windows. Thanks in advance for the assistance.
