So it looks like I ran out of AppleCare two weeks ago, what a shame. I guess it's not worth $260 to receive a new handset simply for a dusty camera. However this is still annoying due to the fact that the phone shouldn't have dust behind the lens anyway. I think this situation is a bit unfair since this is a malfuntion of hardware and it is also disappointing that so many people have this problem with the iPhone 5 in particular. :X

why are not all photos taken with an iphone available on the icloud, even that i made some fotos at the same time?
Some of these photos are afterwards available on fotostream others not.

How are you"merging" the photos?
most common issue is either bad sort (view menu ==> sort events) or bad camera dates
select one and show event to see the event

How do I delete my user ID photo, taken with the camera in the MacBook Pro (when you first buy and set up the computer...). The photo keeps appearing randomly, even after I've changed it to a "better picture". I can't get the change to "stick". Anyone else having trouble with this? Thanks!

That's correct - Photos supports geotagging, but only allows viewing of that information. Once an image is in Photos, geotags cannot be added, deleted, or edited. This post suggests some apps for editing geotags outside of the Photos app. As you mentioned, you can edit the geotags in iPhoto, export to the finder and then import to Photos. I would guess (and hope!) we'll see this added in an update, and hopefully soon!

LR is putting different descriptions of the same lens, used with the same camera, in the metadata of photos taken on the same occasion.
For example:
The following two images were taken with the same camera and lens.
They were imported at the same time into LR by copying.
The only difference in treatment is that the first was an untouched out-of camera jpeg, the second had been flipped using Preview on the Mac.
The one that was flipped has a full description of the lens, the one that was untouched has an abbreviated description.
When you show the file in the Finder and read the metadata using Preview, the correct full lens description appears.
Why is LR displaying the metadata differently for these two files?Can you zip up a few of your GoPro images, upload them to dropbox.com and post a share link, here, so others can experiment with them, or do you mean this issue is global to all camera models?

ByronWhat Carolyn says is correct. You can, however, share an Internet connection with your iPhone wirelessly by turning in Internet sharing (found in System Preferences > Sharing.) If your MacBook Pro is already using a wireless connection, you can just connect to the same wireless network it is using.

New photos taken with my iPhone 4s are not being uploaded to photo stream...
Last weekend I tool a few photos with my iPhone and they were uploaded to photo stream as soon as I connected to wifi. I was able to see them on my iPad and MacBook Pro as sooon as I opened iPhoto...
Today I took a few more but they were not uploaded to photo stream when I connected to wifi... I reset photo stream and now it will not update...
I havent really changed any settings on my iPhone... What can I do???Me too, I'm looking for help for that kind of problem.

Test
on all the devices involved, settings, photos and camera - make sure photo stream is on, and make sure you are on the same cloud account, with photos in the clound settings on. you might want to toggle those setting off then back on, in a attempt to reset the condition.

Is there a way to export a contact photo taken with my iPhone.
Right after I gave my wife her iPhone I snapped a picture of her directly into her contact listing in my iPhone. I assumed that it would show up in the photo program, but it doesn't. I cannot find any way to export or import the photo.
I can see the photo in Contacts on my iPhone and Address Book on my Mac, but don't see a way to export it there either.
Any ideas?It worked for me to just drag it from my contacts list to iPhoto. Then you can export it from iPhoto.

I have tried looking on the internet for advice on deleting videos from my iphone 4s camera (not downloaded videos) that I have taken myself, and have not found a way to do this. I have synced with iTunes but this has then downloaded a load more photos and videos onto my iPhone (which I did not want). Help I need to get rid of all these on my iPhone.
Videos and photos taken with the iPhone are stored in the Camera Roll in the photos app. In the Photoe app find the Camera Roll and use the screen that has all the small thumbnails of photos and videos. Tap on Select at the top of the screen, select the videos to be deleted, tap on Trash.
To delete photos and videos copied to the iPhone by syncing with your computer you need to do another sync. But before clicking on Sync or Apply go to the Photos tab in iTunes on your computer and deselect the unwanted albums. When you finally click on sync or Apply the deselected albums will be deleted from your iPhone but they will remain on your computer. -
I have an iPhone 4 with legacy photos from an iPhone 3 now stored as a DCIM file on the i/Phone 4. When I try to download the photos to my PC only the photos taken with the iPhone 4 are recognized and downloaded. I can still see all the photos on the DCIM file but my PC doesn't recognize them. How do I download these old photos?
I've tried both ways. My Computer locates the device but doesn't see the old photos, only listing the new photos.
I no longer have the iphone3; I just transferred the photos from the 3 to the 4.
Was there a format change or file type change or did the transfer process create something different? I can still see and access the old photos if I go to that album on the phone. But that's the only place where I can see them or access them. -
How do I copy photos taken with my iPhone 3GS to my computer??? I am familiar with syncing, which I do every other day, and I can see pics from my computer on my I phone, but I cannot see my iPhone pics on my computer. Please help!!
Anyone else have further info? Seems strange that when you use a browser on the phone and it automatically sends you to a mobile version of a webpage or to an app that you don't have the choice to go to the actual webpage you are trying to get to....there must be a way?
