No. You only pay for Lion once and can then install it on all of your household Macs.
Purchase Lion in the App Store using one of your Macs and the install button will appear for Lion under the Purchases tab when you open the App Store with your other Mac. The App Store will ask for your user name and password to install Lion but won't charge you for the second install. If you have more than one iTunes account use the one that you used to purchase Lion. All apps in the App Store work this way.

Does anybody know whether Finereader Express works with OS 10.9?

I need to get an OCR programme and Finereader Express seems to fir the bill, however I am unsure whether it will work with OS 10.9. Does anybody know?

Well, i sent back my iMac with the fusion drive and i going to order an iMac with flash storage. What i can say is that : with my older iMac (2008) the Scarlett is working fine under Mavericks and Logic pro X. So i had a doubt concerning USB 3 or Fusion Drive. Here the answer ot the Focusrite technical staff if it can help :

Unfortunately, users of Focusrite, RME, Apogee etc are all experiencing issues with the Fusion Drive. We apologise for this and are working with Apple to reach a resolution.
Both Scarlett and Saffire Pro are compatible with Mavericks, bar for the Fusion Drive issue which we have become recently aware of.

Does student version of Matlab R2012a work on Mountain Lion ?

Hi,
I am using Mountain Lion on rMBP. I want to install the student edition of Matlab on it (R2012a). On their website, they haven't mentioned if it works on Mountain Lion ( http://www.mathworks.com/support/sysreq/sv-r2012a/macintosh.html ) , but I have heard some rumours that it does. Can someone please tell me if it is possible to install and work with R2012a on Mountain Lion and if some additional stuff is required ?

Does Soundtrack Pro 3.0.1 work with Mountain Lion?

Hi there,
I purchased my iMac (Lion 2.7 GHz i5) and Logic Studio Pro 9 at the same time, everything installed fine but Soundtrack Pro did not open with Lion.
Since updated to Mountain Lion and obviously still not working.
Is there anything I can do to get this working as it might be usefull in the future?
Should I try reinstalling Soundtrack Pro or the full Logic Studio?

here's my follow up to your question "Do you know if I'll need compressor at some point after using soundtrack?" i'm not sure, since i don't really know what you'll be doing on your projects w/ LogicPro. but here's my suggestion which help you gain some insight.
go to support.apple.com/manuals/ ...find the .pdf manual for "Compressor 4" latest should be Jun2012. might be about 6MB. just read thru & see what features it does, & how certain steps can help you in your project. this ought to help you foresee if you'll need Compressor or just want it, in the future. Chap 12 seems to discussing Dolby digital professional outputs, Surrouand sound, & spatial mxing.

As far as I can tell, that printer uses postscript. The only piece of a driver you need is the PPD file that tells the printing system about the specs of the printer.
You should be able to print by selecting Generic postscript as driver. Try that for troubleshooting.
Lots of people find that they need to delete and re-add the printer, or Reset Printing System, to get printing to work after upgrading.

Windows drivers for Intel wireless cards are known problematic.. If you have plenty of signal and it still cannot keep or hold the connection the issue can simply be the type of wireless.
Another problem is using names that windows does not easily handle.
eg If you set the TC using apple names, like
Fred Blog's Airport Time Capsule wireless24ad12
Then to windows this is too long.. it has spaces and it has illegal character.
Change all names on the TC to suit windows. Short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
Also security must be suitable.. I have no idea how old or what OS your dell is, but if you still have issues.. pull off the security on the TC for a test.. if the computer suddenly works, it is not compatible with WPA2 AES. Make sure you also use a password that is mix upper and lower case plus numbers.. avoid special characters and make it 10-20 characters long say.. it is not required to be more than that unless you are paranoid.

As you now know iWeb and iDVD have been discontinued by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD.   On June 30, 2012 MobileMe will be shutdown. HOWEVER, iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:
◼ Password protection
◼ Blog and photo comments
◼ Blog search
◼ Hit counter
◼ MobileMe Gallery
Currently if the site is published directly from iWeb to the 3rd party server the RSS feed and slideshow subscription features will work. However, if the site is first published to a folder on the hard drive and then uploaded to the sever with a 3rd party FTP client those two features will be broken.   All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.   There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.
   However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. IF it is a manufacturing defect and you bought the device from Apple or an authorized Apple retailer, then take it into Apple.

Just create a new AppleID for your work.
As Allan suggested, items purchased on one iTunes account cannot be moved to the other account.
However, you can put items purchased on on account onto the other iPhone.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.
