Does anyone else have trouble with IPhoto losing pictures after they've been edited?

Hi!
Just wondering if anyone else has this problem, or if it's just me.
IPhoto has a nasty habit of losing my photos, usually after I've edited them. I look in both the IPhoto Trash and the desktop trash, but they aren't there. I can see them in IPhoto (and can even click on them to edit them again), but if I try to export them or attach them to an email, I get a message saying the file contains 0 kb.
Very frustrating! Especially since I'm being paid to do the photos.
Any suggestions or ideas?

Do a revert to original on a couple of those photos and try again to export or email. Do they export or email OK? As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

Here are some troubleshooting steps that I could recommend when experiencing Home button issues. The article below is labeled for the iPhone, but the steps are the same for your iPad.
The Home button is slow to respond
If the Home button is slow to respond when exiting one application, try another application.
If the issue exists only in certain applications, try removing and reinstalling those applications. Get further assistance in installing and troubleshooting applications.
If the issue continues, Try turning iPhone off and then on again. If the iPhone will not restart, try resetting it.
If the issue is still happening, try to restore the iPhone.
Seek service is the issue is still occurring.
The Home button isn't working
Put the iPhone to sleep.
Wait a couple of seconds.
Press the Home button.
iPhone should wake up.
If iPhone does not wake up, then iPhone should be serviced.
If the issue persists after all the steps have been processed see the last section labeled issue not resolved.

i have been having trouble with my charger cord. i had to purchase yet another one, after buying two more once i got my phone in november..
im wanting to know is it just me or does anyone else have any trouble. if so what can i do, ive tried everything, besides ringing up apple

Is anyone else having any issues with the remote for the new MacBook Pro's? I can hit menu on the remote, then go to iphoto, it will let me go down, then simply quits. I just bought it in July so this is rather frustrating. If now one else is having trouble is there anything I can do? or should I just go back to the store to have them look at it?

Probably take it back to the store--if it's defective, you'll get a new one right away, and you can make sure it works while you're in the store.
Maybe I should take mine out of the package and check it out.

Does anyone else have trouble with SONY CDs?

Okay, the new Pioneer DVD is in -- and what a pleasure... it's been working great. Tonight, I was given a SONY CD that I needed info off of. It loaded fine - but it wouldn't eject.
I would try to eject it - and the icon would disappear - but it wouldn't eject. After manually removing it - the drive wouldn't respond to open/close...
Needed to reboot. And then I needed that same disk again - and the same problem occurred.
With the old drive (yeah, the original) I couldn't even write to SONY...
Have y'all had this problem as well?
I hope it didn't do any damage to my drive - fortunately it's reading a Memorex as I type....

This was resolved.
Don't remember how - but I don't have the problem anymore.

Does anyone else have problems with the new macbook pro trackpad?

I exchanged my new macbook pro last week because there was a major trackpad lag. Every time I put it to sleep and woke it up, the trackpad would delay 5 or more seconds. I took it in to the Apple store and they said it could be a software issue and I exchanged it. However, I just opened up this one up from the package today, and there's still a lag. Does anyone else have problems with that? I don't want to exchange it again, so is there something I can do?

Also, is it mandatory to run software updates when you first turn on your computer?

Installed iTunes 10.3.1 on Mac and then all tunes vanished from my iPhone 4. I hooked the phone to the Mac and Synced them together and everything returned to iPhone. Next morning the problem was back. I had to delete iTunes and reinstall an older version from my Time Machine backup. It now appears to be working. Has anyone else had problems with this?

BTW, iTunes 10.3.1 is not a beta release. Only the iTunes in the Cloud service is beta.

Does anyone else have trouble hearing the person you're talking to half way through the call?

Hello everyone. For almost 2 years now I have had this ongoing problem. I have called Verizon several times, stopped by the store several times and no one has been able to help me yet. I will be on a call and all of a sudden I can't hear the person talking on the other end but they can still hear everything I am saying. I have tried many times to figure out if there is something in common about the calls but there never is. I talk to people that are on land lines, cell phones from various wireless providers, I called them, they called me, day, night, different towns, different states - many, many scenarios. Same thing all the time. Sometimes it happens when I'm on the phone for one minute, 30 minutes, one hour - sometimes it never happens. I used to have the Verizon thunderbolt. I had it for about 10 months before it started happening. I put up with it until I was at my 2 year mark and upgraded to an IPhone 5. One hour after walking out of the store with the new phone it happened and has been happening still for the last year. I'm not lying when I say I have spent HOURS on the phone with Verizon and their technicians. The customer service reps always promise to call me back and they say "Don't worry I won't drop the ball. I'll call you when I get in on Saturday" and blah, blah, blah. My phone is used for work and it's embarrassing when you have to tell the attorney or anyone else for that matter to call me back because you can hear me but I can't hear you. I am beyond frustrated and am considering breaking my contract. Wish I could figure out on here how much that would be. HAS ANYONE HEARD OF THIS ISSUE BEFORE??? PLEASE HELP..

I'm sorry to learn that you have endured the audio issues outlined in your post for almost 2 years SusanLM1! This is certainly not normal! Let's get to the bottom of this issue, first please confirm your phone model; your mention that you have the iPhone 5 but your post is on the iPhone 5S forum. Also, share the iOS version currently installed on your phone. What is your ZIP code? Does this happen mainly while you make/receive calls from a particular location (home, office, etc)?

Does anyone else have issues with Verizon LTE service on the new iPad?

I have the new iPad. I have noticed that issues with the LTE signal have gotten progressively worse. When my iPad is sitting in 1 spot it will switch from 3 bars, to no service, to 3 bars, and so fourth. I might be on a website, or in an app that is using data and it works great. Then at random it says No Service again. I just added my iPad to my Verizon account with their new family data plan, so they sent me a brand new SIM card. I feel like I can rule that out.
I just want to know if anybody else has an issue with their iPad dropping service at random and jumping all over the board. I also have an iPhone on Verizon and it is with me always, I never have this problem with the iPhone. My iPad will say No Service but my iPhone will show nearly full service.
Just to add, I have switched off LTE for periods of time to see if things change. (that way both my iPhone and iPad are on 3G so I can compare) Things are no different when just running LTE.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. I am under warrenty and I have Apple Care. I hate taking stuff in and replacing it if I don't need to.
I am also signed up with a developer account through Apple, and my iPad has iOS 6 beta. This problem did not start with the beta software. It was the case before and after. I guess I was hoping if it was an issue Apple would address it with one of the revisions in iOS 6, but now I am starting to wonder if it is hardware.

I have a 2009 MacBook Pro. Does anyone else have issues with their laptop having problems starting when shut off or restarting when asleep since installing Yosemite?

I have a 2009 MacBook Pro which I have upgraded a few things on. I have updated to Yosemite and am having problems with getting my laptop to come out of sleep mode, and to start when shut off. Any ideas of what this might be or how to correct it? Is this more probably a hardware issue or software?

Try these in order testing your system after each to see if it's back to normal:
1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
    b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
4. Reinstall Yosemite: Reboot from the Recovery HD. Select Reinstall OS X from the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
Download and install the 10.10.1 update.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
            because it is three times faster than wireless.
5. Reinstall Yosemite from Scratch:
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.

Does anyone else have trouble opening Autocad dwg files in Illustrator CS4?

When I try to open some .dwg files from Autocad I get the message " Version of this LPF file is not supported" Can anyone help with this? Does the problem lie with the (autocad) sender or with Illustrator? Stumped and needing to get on with work!

Does anyone else have problems with built in website url links in a PDF not working in iBooks?

I have several magazine PDF files that have lots of website url links built in to them.
When I click the links when viewing the PDFs via iBooks they often don't work.
However, the exact same PDF when viewing/clicking using other PDF apps like GoodReader work perfectly fine.
Nothing else is different except which app I am using to view the PDFs.
Anyone?

It would appear iBook app doesn't support hyperlinks except within a document.

Does anyone else have problems with retina screens? My eyes are constantly hurting and my eyesight is getting worse in a short period of time.

I've been using high quality retina screens for about nine months now and my vision has gone downhill quickly. I got my first ever prescription for eye glasses and my eyes are constantly strained. High resolution screens also cause other problems with my normal work flow as a web designer but that is a whole other topic.

try turning down the brightness, If i even have it past half way my eyes hurt. maybe it'll help

The only change I've made to my system recently is upgrading when the software upgrade asked me to. Now I find iTunes sorta wonky -- especially in the "Albums View" -- it lags, it freezes, that beachball spins, ...
I'm still running OSX 10.6.8 and am reluctant to do the recent OS upgrade given my iTunes.
Any thoughts?

I' ve been searching for other people that experienced this. I own a huge album collection but never experienced such freezing, delay, scroll problem. Itunes ran flawlwssly no matter how many albums are entered/processed. Even playback is problematic! If you choose to play an album you better have a lot of patience!! Entering an album in m4a format was the same as mp3: some seconds...Now it takes 2-3 minutes. AT LEAST! Meanwhile the playback bar freezes to the last minute, and got sick and tired of the beachball spins!!! Hope that our friends at Apple hear our conversation & will solve it SOON! Thank you for sharing your problem with me.
