Does anyone else's maps look like this after iOS 7.1 on iPhone 4? Bug?

Notice the black search bar at the top. I'm sure it says Denver in there somewhere....
Here is how it looks when nothing is beings searched (ignore that it hasn't loaded yet...just notice the black search bar between the arrow and the bookmarks buttons).
I have only noticed this since updating to iOS 7.1. I don't have any weird accessibility settings enabled either- only reduce motion. I have a hard time thinking Apple envisioned this as a user-friendly map app...if you didn't know that search bar was there you would never know how to search.

Settings > Accessibility > Increase Contrast > Reduce transparency - set to OFF (white side showing)

My iMac now looks like this after todays Yosemite Update. Is this iOS or Hardware issues ?

Well I managed to get the Snow Leopard disk out and restarted the mac using OS X Recovery. I've selected the option to reinstall OS X. I'm at a screen that is asking me to 'Select the disk where you want to install OS X'. I'm presented two options one labeled 'EFI' and the other 'Recovery HD'. I chose the later but it's been sitting on a spinning beach ball for 30 minutes now so I can't select 'Install' to proceed. Any idea what has happened to my mac? A hard drive failure I assume or something else?

HT1338 There's not enough contrast in my 2012 MacBook Air display. Does anyone else have a problem with this? Can I fix it?

When I watch streaming shows or movies on my Air the contrast is lousy. If it's a dark scene you can hardly see anything. Does anyone else have this issue? I've got it as bright as it lets me go.

It seems that my pioneer DVD drive ate my disc and no matter what I do, I can't get it out.
What have you done so far? Provide details on what you have done to date in the way of troubleshooting and the results. In doing so, the helpers here will avoid the "been there done that" response scenerio.

how hard is it to take the iMac apart?
If your model iMac is not user repairable, do a Google search for DIY instructions. Two places to start is iFixit and YouTube's tutorials.
What is a good replacement for it?
External CD/DVD burners. Check out OWC & Lacie websites for CD/DVD drives. Make sure you read the system requirements for the drives.

I am looking for an app that will track how much time I spend in each application. Then possibly tell me in a report what time is being spent where.
Not a manual one where I have to activate or tell it when I switch to a program but something that will do this automatically for me.

I called to enroll in a verizon discount plan offered by my wife's employer, as we were finishing that up online, we were no longer able to make calls. We are able to text, however.   Has anyone else had a problem like this?

One of our phones received 240 voice mails from Verizon! I called support and they opened a ticket, the support guy was helpful and tried a bunch of stuff, but he couldn't figure it out and opened the ticket, etc., and told me it would probably be fixed in a couple of hours and that I'd hear from them.   That was last night.   I called this morning and another rep told me that I probably wouldn't hear anything until Monday.
The guy last night said they things went well during the storms on the East Coast for the network, but that there is something that is causing problems "rolling westward" since then.   I am in western Colorado.   Anyone else having any trouble?

We were told by the rep that we had to do two different orders so we did them one at a time with him on the phone walking us through it. I'm not sure what numbers are the actual order numbers because it seems the order number on the one phone I did recieve was different from the number in the email. The "order numbers" on the two emails were (removed) and I think were stated as "online order number". The whole thing was just so dissapointing. Spending all that time on the phone and my pc (on hold waiting for a rep, having the rep try the order, walking us through the order), my wife thinking she was finally getting a new phone that worked, etc, and finding out TWO days later?? I actually kind of felt bad for the rep I talked with yesterday because he probably gets beat on all day long if this kind of thing happens often, which from the posts, seems like it does. Of course I was less than pleasant with him struggling to understand what had happened and what could be done about it. If something can be done it would be appreciated. A CS rep can speak with me as well personally on the (951) number if they wish. Thanks.

Anyone else got what looks like a bogus e-mail bill for $699.

Received an e-mail bill like I normally do. Shows Itunes, set up the same.
Shows 1 postcard $699.99
Obviously a scam. I checked my I-tunes account and nothing shows. Just curious if anyone else had this issue?

Anyone else having a problem like this with the order...

Like the rest of the world, I got up extra early to order our 2 new Iphones. I got a confirmation number but have yet to receive any email about the order. I have called Verizon a hundred times and they do not see my order. Everyone tells me "oh you have a confirmation number so you will be fine". I check endlessly the status of my order but it doesn't show anything there at all. The last girl I talked to said oh well your order may not have gone thru but we don't know. If you don't get a notification by the 9th then go online and pre-order again. I really do not want to be charged 2x $400 and get 4 phones. Anyone else out there having this problem?

Well just to update in case anyone wanted to know. Finally got someone at Verizon who said that the order did not go thru. I place another order on 2/9 at 3am and everything is going good now. They said the system went down on the 3rd for a short period of time.

Does anyone else notice the light from the headphone jack on their white iPhone 4?

I noticed that whenever i turn on my lockscreen or whenever my iphone's screen is on, you can see light from the audio headphone jack. Anyone else have this problem? ( Iphone 4 white)

Clarification, iPhoneMac is correct. There is light noticible at the bottom of the Headphone Jack.
However, when I responded, I checked the 6 iPhone 4 here and none of them showed this in lit room normal usage. In Dark Room especially with the Screen Brightness turned up you can see a bit of light (glow) at the very bottom of the Jack, if you look right down the barrel.

Why does my Creative Cloud stuff look like this? Is that even a language?

Also, how do I get help at Adobe? They sure make it hard to ask. The forum seems like it just passes the buck to other customers rather than helping themselves.

Ah, so this brings up another aesthetically displeasing trait: Now my panel changes size depending on how many tasks are in my taskbar because I have it set to normal width, rather than full width. Is there any way to force the whole panel to stay at one length?

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

I get jpeg and video attachments that turn into an email icon when I try to download them, anyone else have a problem like this?

On my new iPad email I have an attachment download problem that started shortly after downloading the latest iOS system. When i receive an email with a picture or video file it has a dashed line around it. When I touch it to download it to view it the icon changes to a mail message icon hen the download completes. Then when I touch it again to open it a new mail message opens up with the attachment there to be sent to someone else.

I tried using forward slashes and other variations in the same manner, and they all didn't work in Firefox, but worked in Chrome and I.E.
Taking the example:

I also tried:

These links didn't work embedded in an email or on a webpage. For the case of the webpage, when the mouse cursor is hovering over the links, the jump bar indicates the correct link, but when clicked, nothing happens. When the links are copied and pasted into the address bar, they work.

Does anyone else have this video problem?!?!?

So, This is ATV #2. The first one got sent back because during play, after 30 mins, TV would go black. ATV light would still be on, but no audio, video......Also when in standby, no audio/video would work when We brought it out of standby.
ATV #2 didn't have any problems...... Till now. Now it plays, but like the last one, when in standby, doesn't want to come out....No audio/video..... At first thinking it was the ATV, but could it be the tv?
I have a 46" Sony Bravia...Everything else works fine on the TV. Does anyone else have this problem of it not waking up from standby????

Next time it happens switch to a different input on the TV, then switch back and see if you have video, or turn the TV off and then turn it back on again. It's possible it could be the TV, for example, if it ignores the input after a certain period of inactivity and fails to detect when the ATV comes out of standby. It could be an HDMI issue between the ATV and your TV. A number of people have experienced HDMI anomalies with specific make and model TVs.

I went to the Recieved at and It has my number and my email right under neath it but I can not select my Number. My Email is clickable but my number is like a super faded grey not like you can't see it but it is not close to black.
