Does anyone have an easy way to transfer Picasa photo files to G5 from a PC

I have 11000 photos in Picasa and got my apple to do more with them. I cannot seem to transfer the photos without emailing them individually.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Help!

Does anyone have an easier way of playing sounds?

I've been learning AS3 this year and so far the most tricky and annoying thing for me is the way the Sound Channel works.
I have a movieclip holder with around 20 frames, with animation on each frame.
I have been coding my sound effects, but soon I'll need a Voiceover track on each frame. I don't want to have
to write tons of code for each one, playing them and stopping them if the user toggles back and forth.
Is there a simple way of doing this? I tried adding sounds on the timeline using 'event', but they don't stop
playing if you go to a new frame.
Any ideas?

If you use external MP3 files you could have an array of the file names, or construct the filename based on the frame number. Then you would do a SoundMixer.stopAll() to stop any other sounds playing, and then play the frame's external MP3.
The SoundMixer.stopAll() ought to work for the timeline Event sound version too.

If you want to import movies into iTunes you can use that to stream & convert to Apple TV compatible formats as Rudegar suggested.
Another option is to install a media streaming application like Plex or Kodi on a PC/ Mac.

Those should be able to stream to the Amazon Fire stick. They also can re-encode video 'on the fly'. So if you format is not supported the computer converts it & the device on the TV gets a format that does work (not including DRM protected files) - obviously this requires a computer with enough power to convert, but many recent computers have enough power to do that. There is setup involved, but these servers are a good once configured.
Roku has a Plex app that also works well on the TV.
The Apple TV does not work well with these apps, it expects you to use iTunes.

When viewing an album on the iPhone you can tap "Photos" at the bottom and that will show all photos by date. Unfortunately though it is all photos, not just the album you are currently viewing.
What I have done is the following. On the computer I have a main folder (e.g. iPhone photos) and then make sub-folders within that. Placing photos that will be synched to the iPhone into various subfolders gives quite a bit of organizational capablility. In iTunes when you select the main folder to sync, the sub-folders will show on the iPhone as separate albums. Beyond that, in one case where I really wanted a specific sort within an album I renamed the photos on the computer (something like A-picxxx, B-picxxx) so they sorted on the computer alphabetically in the order I want on the phone. That sort order was maintained after the sync.
Note that each time you sync using iTunes, the non-Camera Roll pictures on the phone will be set to match the current iTunes settings/photos -- so you can experiment.

I have just updated my iPhone iOS to 8.1.2. Since then, the camera is not able to upload photos to the album immediately and some are even lost. Does anyone have the same issue or know how to fix this?

I found it much easier to have my apps on the last page and let the pre-loaded apps stay where they are on the first couple of pages. While I'd prefer to have my apps first, at least they are all together. I found it far too much work to try to move them around another way, plus it shifts some things around in a way that I did not intend.
BTW, I definitely prefer the Fascinate's arrangement of the icons over the Droid X2, which is always in alphabetical order in a vertical non-stop continuum.

I have an image where I need each text box/arrow to delete once clicked. Surely there is an easier way than creating millions of frames? Is it possible to do it with a button? The person using the animation needs to click the right ones that would lead to them dissappearing.
This was mocked up in photoshop. Only the photo would be brought into flashes library.

Thanks esdebon for your response. I have tried to get it to work and keep getting compiler errors. Nothing happens when i click on the movie clip. button was converted to a movie clip and I added the actionscript but to no avail. This is the error I am getting while testing:

I was wondering if anyone had an easy way to edit the photos on a .swf file?

I am trying to change out the photos on the flash photos on my homepage. I only have the .swf files. Is there an easy way to do this? My web developer wants to charge a ridiculous amount to do this and I would actually rather learn how to do this versus paying someone else. Any help would be appreciated.

I thought there was a way to do this in Flash, but you can use a SWF extractor like http://www.swftools.org/
You would have to follow the directions(documentation) as I have not used this program before. Or find another that seems easier to you, but thats what you need.

I'm having some trouble spacing groups of text boxes. Does anyone have an automated way to evenly distribute space between groups of two text boxes?

There isn't much more to this question. My format works like this:
H2 Headline
H3 Explanation
H2 Headline
H3 Explanation
H2 Headline
H3 Explanation
I need to distribute these text boxes evenly down my page. It's a bit of a pain to do so manually. Since there are other objects on the page, the spacing guidelines get thrown out of whack. My most secure way is to create a box, line it up with the bottom of the first group and the top of the next. Then repeat all the way down the page.
I thought about using just one text box but rejected it. I need to have content pulled from other portions of the site. That wouldn't be possible with only one text box. Plus, it's much easier to format the text box than individual text.
If anyone has an idea, I'd love to hear it.

mitchging If I am understanding what you require, this might be what you're after.Assuming you want to have all the boxes equally spaced, you can use the Align panel. In the screen grab the four boxes are sets of two grouped text boxes, similar to your description. Select the first group object, then select the remaining three. Open the Align panel. First set the Align To method to Key Object. Now set the distribution spacing to the required value. When you click the Vertical Distribute Space button, they will all be spaced equally. You can then fine-tune it by changing the value and hitting the button again whilst they are still selected.

I've heard all of the rumors about not restoring your phone from an older backup, such as from an iPhone 4 like I did, but does that really work? And if so, how do I go about setting up my iPhone 5 as new, and then get all of my information back on to it. I don't really have enough space on iCloud to comfortably sync all of my contacts, pictures, and all of that shenanigans so what can I do? I've tried all of the basic settings stuff. (Location settings, WiFi, Bluetooth, and all of that good stuff.) None of it really worked. So if you guys have had any success with any sort of method let me know, please.
By the way, I have the Verizon verison of the phone if that makes any difference.

Wow kris71! That's a lot of duplicate contacts! Apple has some great steps at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4147 to help resolve duplicate contacts. There are also third-party applications through the iTunes store https://itunes.apple.com that will clean up duplicate contacts on Apple products, but I would highly recommend going through Apple's support suggestions first.

Does anyone know of a way to export a .gfx file from the FCP 7 timeline? If not, do you know of a plug-in or even a stand alone video converter that will accomplish this? I can convert FROM gfx, but cannot convert TO gfx. Thanks.

Thanks neuroanatomist. That was really helpful, but when I went in and looked in my SMS folder, I opened it under notepad and it was all garbled and hard to read. It didn't look like in my iphone of indicating conversations between me and another person. I could see my conversations, but they where all mixed in with numbers and weird characters I've never seen before. You wouldn't happen to know of another program out there that can put it perhaps like in a word doc. or even excel sheet? Something that's just organized. Thanks.
