Does anyone have an indicator that works like a compass??

I'm looking for an indicator that will show compass heading. The gauge indicator has zero at the bottom instead of the top. Thanks in advance.

Un-check "sequential values"
then enter;
0 ->
90 -> E
180 -> S

360 -> N
and you have a good old fashioned compass. See attched image.

Does anyone have a 6280 that works perfectly?

Recently got my 6280 on 'Three', and straight away started having problems with it eg screen freezing (crashing) in the middle of doing things, resetting itself every so often so my ringtone always goes back to the original etc, can't lock my keys as the screen then overheats & uses all the batterylife! & my battery life is lucky to last a day if I dont touch the phone!
I'm sending it back to 'Three' for a replacement, but my question is: do any of these 6280's on 'Three' actualy work properly, as I realy love this phone!

Ok, I can see this is going to turn into an argument pretty soon.
Essentially, if yuo find that you have problems with a Nokia product I strongly advise you to get in contact with us or visit one of our Engineers so that they can take a look at the device for you.
You can drop us an email or give us a call from the Contact Us page, and you can locate the nearest engineer to you from the Repair page.
If you are on the network 3 and have version 3.36 firmware installed, you may want to visit an engineer for an update. Likewise, if you are on another network and have version 3.60 firmware.
You can find out what version you have installed by entering *#0000# on the standby screen.
For now though, this thread is closed. Feel free to create a new thread for different topics.

Can't open some web pages... DOES ANYONE HAVE A FIX THAT WORKS?

I'm unable to open certain web pages. The pages will start to open and than the application will just stall. This seems to have coincided with downloading a security update a while back. I've tried downloading firefox and it too will not open these specific pages. I've searched the forum and as of now I can't find a solution. From what I've hear, Apple isn't even acknowledging that there is an issue. I've repaired permissions, deleted Safari plist files, all with no improvement. I know for a fact that it is not my internet connection, as my powerbook can navigate to these sites without any issues, however my powermac seems to have "forgotten" how to open some web pages.
Any fixes would be enourmously appreciated!

I don't think that reporting the pages to apple would do much good as it's not the pages themselves that are the issue, it's something on my system that prevents them from opening up properly. My laptop will open the pages without any issue, however my desktop isn't able to for god knows what reason. I know others on this board have had similar problems.

Does anyone have a chart that translates the new weather icons for the IOS7 iPhone?

There are many icons inside the new weather app in iPhone update IOS7 which are difficult to understand. Can you confirm our best guess that the weather for Wednesday and Thursday will be windy? Hope we are right. Does anyone have a chart that deciphers all of those symbols?

Thank you Templeton. Much apprecaite your answers and how swiftly they arrived. There are other symbols that we find confusing. I can't replicate more of them right now. But if you, or anyone knows of a chart that has interpreted most of them, I would be very grateful. I have beeen looking online for quite some time, and am surprised this hasn't been done...at the very least by Apple or Yahoo.

Does anyone have an applet that runs on Windows CE and connects via jdbc to lite DB

I am trying to get an applet to connect to the Oracle lite DB

Firefox will not play .ogv video files when loaded from a server. Does anyone have any answers that will fix this?

I've read the suggestions for fixing this, and none of them work. I've updated my .htaccess to match MIME types for .ogv, I've uploaded the files as both Binary and ASCII, neither method works. The .ogv file plays fine when you load it from a local file, but it will not play when viewed from a remote server. I've confirmed with my hosting company that the .htaccess and all other issues for HTML5 are up-to-date. Safari and Chrome play the HTML5 videos just fine, but Firefox will not. Does anyone have any concrete answers as to what the problem is. I'm also serving up the video files as .webm and .mp4, but neither of these formats works in Firefox either.

That can happen if the server isn't configured properly to send the files with a by Firefox supported MIME type.

Did you check via the Web Console which headers Firefox receives when requesting the .ogv file?
If that is OK then it is possible that the file is using an unsupported coding method.

Does anyone have a PC that can successfully use an Airport Extreme?

All PC units can not connect to my AirPort extreme wireless network. All iPods and Macs can connect just fine. Does anyone know what could cause this or heard anything like it?

All of a sudden using Ibooks on my Ipad - many lines in list view have this indicator || inside a circle appearing on the far right and the books no longer open. I can find nothing about this in help. What is it and what does it mean

Hi John, I'm guessing that icon is created and updated by an extension. I'm not sure which one, though. Maybe something that is tracking the trackers, like Lightbeam? Have you tried hovering your mouse over the icon to see whether a tooltip appears, or clicking it?

Anyone have a slideshow that works in both IE8 and Firefox?

I have tried the widgets offered by Adobe. They don't work in IE8 and I have tried all the fixes from the Adobe Labs.
Doctype....If I change the doctype as recommended, then I get a white outlined box in the middle of the photos which I can't remove. If I change the doctype, then the slideshow won't work in Firefox.
Meta...If I add the meta line as suggested, no change at all.
Outline remove....I saw this on the forums, but could not find the line in any of the CSS code.
Other slideshows...I have tried downloading Easy Rotator and can't register and when I go to their website - can't put in a support ticket. Obviously they have problems running their business so I would like to find something and someone simple if possible that works!
Any one have any recommendations? I just need a very simple straightforward slideshow - nothing fancy - for my online catalog.

DOES ANYONE HAVE AN IPHONE THAT MAKES...

Coffee for you in the mornings? Haha, just kidding about that, but I really do have an interesting issue. The other morning I received a phone call from a friend...I answered it and all was great, but it brought me back to the main screen and not the passcode screen. I have that feature on, and I just turned my iPhone on. How in the world did it "unlock" the passcode without me doing anything? Now if you thought that was weird, what about this issue. So I turned the iPhone off and back on again and it was perfectly fine even after I got a call, back to normal right? Well not quite. That afternoon, I typed in my passcode and it didn't MOVE at all, It was sorta "stuck" with all 4 numbers in place...I actually could type in 4 numbers and get no response, so I delete all 4. Type it in again and it clears the entire thing out saying nothing like invalid, I type it in again and it goes. Why do I need to type the passcode in twice sometimes? It just started to happen and I didn't change any setting recently. I appreciate the advice. I will try to restore it when the next update comes out, but I just don't have the time. I have the 8 GB model.

I sort of recall having an issue unlocking long ago (couple of firmware versions ago). Have also had crashes of Safari or Maps. Have had SMS not open for me. Various things. Reset always fixed it. As each firmware comes out, I have had less issues but like I mentioned in that thread I linked to, I do a reset at least once a week just to do one. That alone could be why I am getting less issues.

Does anyone have a screen that has a light dot on the side of the Ipad 2 that when you touch it, it enlarges?? What should I do if anything??

Does anyone have a new dock connector like that on the Apple store?

I recently purchased an iPod Nano, Red Edition 8GB and found out that the dock connector cable (the ipod proprietary - USB cable) is unlike that on the website.
It uses the old fat one and the one on the website uses the slim jack.
Has anyone got the so called newer version dock connector?
This is really frustrating.

Actually I think it is not quite the same as the one that comes with the Nano. In addition to the white connector being physically shorter it lacks the little buttons on the sides that you need to depress to release the cable that shipped with it. This is useful for us "fat fingered" folk who can't get their fingers in when headphones are connected.
But yes. I agree... why frustrated? I plan to order one, but I can't say I am frustrated that they didn't include it.
