Does anyone have script or fast method to add transp. to que?

I have isolated a server for a GoLive Rehearsal and would like to load MANY transports into this new server, rather than load them all one by one (ie. add to que, then transport) , does anyone know of a quicker way to do the WHOLE lot at once?
Thanks in advance for saving me time
Maria

Ken , many, many thanks!
I have actually broken down the import scripts to about 5 with about 200 entries each.
I do find that about a dozen entires have errored with parameter has wrong length, the odd thing is all the TPIMPORT statements were created from the same Excell macro. ie., the transports were sequentially entered in an excell spreadsheet to ensure the correct sequence
I then created a macro (as recommended from this thread) that created a large script for import
I took this one step further and split this large file into smaller files/scripts of about 200 entries.
I have only run the first of 5 entries, and it is puzzling to me why I get the error 'parameter has wrong length'  the statements are cookie cutter statements, exactly the same. see error below
E:\SAP Software\SAPPHYR Transport Log\TPImport Scripts>tp import ECDK901251 ECP client=200 U126 pf=d:\usr\sap\transcopy\bin\TP_DOMAIN_ECP.PFL
This is tp version 372.04.40 (release 700, unicode enabled)
ERROR: : parameter U126 has wrong length
And a successfully statement result below
E:\SAP Software\SAPPHYR Transport Log\TPImport Scripts>tp import ECDK900229 ECP client=200 U126 pf=d:\usr\sap\transcopy\bin\TP_DOMAIN_ECP.PFL
This is tp version 372.04.40 (release 700, unicode enabled)
This is R3trans.exe version 6.14 (release 700 - 28.07.08 - 15:52:00).
unicode enabled version
R3trans.exe finished (0004).
tp finished with return code: 4
meaning:
  A tool used by tp produced warnings
You can observe the statements are identical starting at "tp import ECDKxxxxx ECP etc...
any ideas why they would error?

Maria

  • Does anyone have scripts for creating R12 custom qualifiers?

    Hi,
    I'm trying to follow the directions, but there are errors in the sample scripts, and it's just taking too much time to debug.
    So I was wondering if anyone has been through this before - e.g. even with the known implementation guide
    example Party Type (script1, script2, script3 and steps)?

    With the new Yosemite update (10.10.3) I can no longer transfer my photographs into Adobe
    Photoshop Elements by the previously expedient  'click and drag' method. Neither am I able to import or export them. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to move pictures between the new Photos and Adobe Photoshop?

    Ah yes school boy error there out of frustration and discontent..
    My issue is with music/apps/films etc not downloading from iTunes / App Store.
    They initially fail and message is displayed stating unable to download / purchase at this time, yet if I retry it says I've already purchased (?) or alternatively I go to the purchased section and there they are waiting with the cloud symbol..
    However some items get frozen in the download window and cannot be retried or deleted. Message appears stating to tap to retry, but even if you stole every bath and sink in the uk you'd still not have enough taps.
    I post here as the iTunes guys are useless in there 'help' and have only advised posting here or phoning apple, at my expense, to explain a problem that could be rectified by forwarding my original email to a techie. However the tech team apparently don't have an email address as they're from ye olde Middle Ages..!
    Anyways I digress.
    So I tried sync to pc, but instead of showing the file as ready to listen/use/view, the iCloud symbol shows and I'm back to square one as the item is unable to download..
    At frustration station waiting for a train from pain...
    All my software is up to date, and had all worked fine prior to the last big iOS update that resulted in all the changes in display and dismay.

  • Does anyone have a LISTENER heartbeat script

    Instead of reinventing the wheel, does anyone have a heartbeat script that runs on Unix (HP-UX 11.0) and checks the status of the Listener (e.g., if the Listener is down, reload/restart)?? Many thanks in advance....

    This is a very basic script, just written for you on CS3 and totally untested:
    if (app.documents.length == 0){
        alert ("Please open a document, select an object, and try again.");
        exit();
    var myDoc = app.activeDocument;
    var myPage = myDoc.layoutWindows[0].activePage;
    var myPageId = myPage.id;
    var myDialog = app.dialogs.add({name:"Duplicate pages"});
    with(myDialog.dialogColumns.add()){
        with(borderPanels.add()){
            staticTexts.add({staticLabel:"Duplicate front-most page # " + myPage.name});
            var myIntBox = integerEditboxes.add({editValue:1, smallNudge:1, largeNudge:10});
            staticTexts.add({staticLabel:" times"});
    var myResult = myDialog.show();
    if(myResult == true){
        var myNumber = myIntBox.editValue;
        if (myNumber < 1) {
            alert(myNumber + " is invalid number.");
            exit();
        for (i = 0; i < myNumber; i++) {
            myPage.duplicate(LocationOptions.AFTER, myDoc.pages.itemByID(myPageId));
    myDialog.destroy();
    It duplicates the active (the front-most page) — its number you see in the bottom left corner of the document window. You can type a number or use up/down arrows to increment it by 1 (add shift key to increment it by 10).
    Hope it helps.

    Every time I sync my iPhone with iPhoto I end up getting duplicate photos on my iPhone. The other problem is that I can not delete the dups on my iPhone.   Does anyone have an answer to this problem?

    Mike whether I create a folder within the Pictures Folder that iTunes uses to sync photographs or just copy them into the main folder the result is the same, I end up with Photo Library plus another album containing an identical set of pictures as contained in Photo Library.
    The User Manual for iOS5 states ...
    You can create, rename, and delete albums on iPhone to help you organize your photos and videos.
    Create a album: When viewing albums, tap Edit, then tap Add. Select photos to add to the new album, then tap Done. Note: Albums created on iPhone aren’t synced back to your computer.
    Rename an album Tap Edit, then select an album.
    Rearrange albums Tap Edit, then drag up or down.
    Delete an album Tap Edit, then tap the delete sign.
    Yes I can Add a new Album, but cannot delete an album already created. The delete sign does not appear.
    In iTunes the only folder that I can see listed is the man one into which iTunes stores pictures, which I have named iPhone Photos.
    When I look on my PC this iPhone Photos folder contains another folder named iPod Photo Cache and a multitude of folders created by iTunes, the named F00, F01,F02 etc etc. and a Photo Database file.
    Now whether I create a seperate folder within iPhone Photos to store my favourite photos in, or just copy them all into the iPhone Photos folder without being encased within another folder, or create a folder inside the iPod Photo Cache folder the result is the same ...
    I end up with Photo Library plus another album containing an identical set of pictures as contained in Photo Library.
    I am going around in ever decreasing circles here and getting nowhere fast!!

  • Does anyone have opinions about at

         Does anyone have experience with or opinions about the free McAfee security suite offerd by At&t U-Verse? I would also ask the same about OpenDNS, which seemed to work fine on my old Mac. Thanks

    The McAfee product is much worse than useless.
    This is a comment on OpenDNS and other public domain-name system (DNS) services, such as Google DNS. You should use such a service if it solves a problem for you, and not if it creates problems you don't already have. To summarize:
    1. Using public DNS will probably not make your network faster, and may make it slower.
    2. It will probably not stop your browser from being redirected when you try to connect to a valid web address.
    3. It will not make you safer from malware attacks.
    4. It could cause confidential information to be compromised.
    5. It has other privacy implications that you should be aware of.
    A DNS server resolves the human-readable "domain name" of an Internet host, such as www.apple.com, to the numerical address by which that host can be reached. The process is analogous to looking up a phone number by name. There is no chance that changing the DNS server you use will have any effect on a network problem not related to name resolution.
    There are two valid reasons why you might want to use a public DNS service:
    The DNS servers provided by your ISP are misconfigured (perhaps deliberately) or don't perform well.
    You have a use for the filtering controls provided by OpenDNS and others.
    Although some DNS services are touted as responding faster than others, there will be no noticeable difference if your ISP is delivering what you pay for. Most likely, the difference in response time among the DNS servers available to you is on the order of a hundredth of a second or less. But under some conditions, public DNS will significantly slow down network performance. Here is a case in point.
    A content-distribution network (CDN), such as the one used by Apple to deliver software updates and iTunes content, relies on the location of the DNS server to optimize performance. If your query goes to a distant server, you may get slow downloads of Apple content, among other things. From the report of a test carried out by a networking consultant:
    We listed 9 CDNs that would benefit from supporting/using edns-client-subnet, and only two actually support edns-client-subnet: CDN77 and ChinaCache. Others, including Akamai, Internap and CDNetworks, do not currently. This really is too bad, because from the performance data we collected, it is clear these CDNs deliver (much) worse performance currently in many countries to Google DNS and OpenDNS users.
    Another reason often given for using public DNS is to avoid "redirection," that is, false results from a query for a valid domain name. Ethical ISP's do not intentionally redirect valid DNS queries, though it might happen unintentionally because of a misconfiguration; for example, because the address of a network host has recently changed, or because of a "poisoning" attack on the DNS server. Note that many ISP's may, and OpenDNS certainly will, redirect invalid queries to ad sites, in violation of published standards for DNS.
    Recently, a few low-quality commercial ISP's such as "CenturyLink" have taken to deliberately redirecting DNS queries for some domains, such as search engines. Do not tolerate this practice. If your ISP is doing it, then you should demand that the redirection be stopped, or else switch to another ISP.
    Some ISP's have been said to route all DNS queries to their own name servers, regardless of where the queries were directed—another intolerable practice. I haven't heard that any commercial ISP is now doing this, but if yours is, you won't be able to use a public DNS service, even if you change the network settings on your computer or router.
    Of course, if your Internet access is provided by an employer or institution, rather than by a commercial ISP, then you have to take whatever you get.
    The claims on the OpenDNS website that it blocks malware attacks such as "Flashback" are false advertising. A DNS service does not and cannot block anything. All it can do is to selectively refuse to answer queries. It's trivial for a malware attacker to evade such controls. It's just as easy to evade the parental controls offered by OpenDNS. Nevertheless, you may find those control features useful, despite their limitations. Here is an example of an ASC user who had undesirable results from OpenDNS content filtering.
    There is one limited exception to the rule that OpenDNS and Google DNS don't improve performance. The "prefetching" performed by modern web browsers, including Safari, may confuse some DNS servers, with the effects described in this Apple Support article. The article suggests testing OpenDNS, Google DNS, or another third-party DNS service as a possible way to overcome the problem.
    If you need to switch DNS providers because of a misconfiguration of your ISP's servers, the change will most likely only need to be temporary. The problem may be resolved automatically within a matter of hours.
    If you're considering whether to use public DNS, such as OpenDNS, on a long-term basis, you should take into account the privacy implications. As a user of the free service, you are not an OpenDNS customer, and the service provider—a for-profit corporation—doesn't have a contract with you. The marketers to whom OpenDNS sells access and information are its customers.
    OpenDNS will know, and store, the address of every Internet server you use from now on. This is from its privacy policy:
    When you use our Services, OpenDNS stores certain DNS, IP address and related information about you to improve the quality of our Service, to provide you with Services and for internal business and analysis purposes.
    Concerning personal information, the policy states:
    ...[I]t is disclosed to entities that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other entities with whom we have joint marketing agreements...
    You can't opt out of those disclosures. Read the privacy policy carefully and draw your own conclusions. The privacy policy of Google DNS seems to be somewhat more benign, but again, you should judge for yourself.
    That's not the worst of it, though. The practice of hijacking nonexistent domains followed by most public DNS services could result in leaking confidential information to a hacker:
    For example, consider the "same origin trust model" used for Web cookies. If you're holding a cookie for GOOGLE.COM and you can be fooled into following a link to KJHSDFKJHSKJHMJHER.GOOGLE.COM, and the resulting NXDOMAIN response is remapped into a positive answer to some advertising server, then you're going to send your cookie to that advertising server when you send your HTTP GET request there. Not such a bad thing for a GOOGLE.COM cookie, but a real problem for a BANKOFAMERICA.COM cookie.
    NXDOMAIN remapping is not something that only happens when you randomly mistype a domain name.  It can be exploited deliberately by malicious links placed on any web page. In the case of OpenDNS, the result would be that a cookie intended for another server would be sent to the OpenDNS web server instead. A rogue OpenDNS employee, or anyone who managed to break into the web server, might then be able to impersonate you on another website. If this scenario seems far-fetched, it's the stuff that network exploits are made of.

  • Firefox will not play .ogv video files when loaded from a server. Does anyone have any answers that will fix this?

    I've read the suggestions for fixing this, and none of them work. I've updated my .htaccess to match MIME types for .ogv, I've uploaded the files as both Binary and ASCII, neither method works. The .ogv file plays fine when you load it from a local file, but it will not play when viewed from a remote server. I've confirmed with my hosting company that the .htaccess and all other issues for HTML5 are up-to-date. Safari and Chrome play the HTML5 videos just fine, but Firefox will not. Does anyone have any concrete answers as to what the problem is. I'm also serving up the video files as .webm and .mp4, but neither of these formats works in Firefox either.

    That can happen if the server isn't configured properly to send the files with a by Firefox supported MIME type.
    *https://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Properly_Configuring_Server_MIME_Types
    Did you check via the Web Console which headers Firefox receives when requesting the .ogv file?
    If that is OK then it is possible that the file is using an unsupported coding method.

    Does anyone know the YAHOO authentication method and port? I recently installed the new OSX 10.8.2 software and my mac mail wont work.

    Hello,
    I have no idea what you're talking about, however my Mail stopped working when I
    had to add a new e-mail address for my Hotmail account.
    My new Hotmail address works, and seems to get e-mail from the old e-mail address,
    which from I've read behaves as a "default" address for the old address.
    Apple Mail is linked to my Hotmail account of the old e-mail address.
    I no longer know my old password.
    Apple Mail will not accept my new password for ny new Hotmail account.
    Can someone help me solve this problem WITOUT COMPLICATED SOLUTION!
    As I said I have no idea what a port, or SSL or authentication is!
    If you do answer,please answer in vert simple steps that are easy to follow, and donlt make matters worse.
    Thanks,

    Does anyone have a sample implementation plan that can be shared?  High level?

    You will probably need to inquire with a VMware consultant to get this kind of information.  VMware depends on these people to make sure they keep the reputation of the software at a very high level.
    They will have access to various free tools to help large and small scale deployments.  Tools like VMware Health Check Script and the ESX deployment tool.

  • Does anyone have any tips on how to maximize battery life of MacBooks ?

    I have just bought the new Macbook 15'' after my older macbook (2009 version) had gone through some issues with its battery. The battery life of my old mac became very short, maybe due to overcharging etc. Therefore I want to make sure I dont make any mistakes this time around and make good use of my battery so that it doesnt get damaged too fast. Does anyone have any tips on how to do this? Or perhaps any MUST NOTs (things that would be harmful to the battery), eg. overcharging?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
    Macs do not have overcharging. The battery is stopped being charged when it is full, so do not worry about that.
    The most basic tip is to make regular battery cycles and do not disconnect the MacBook Pro from the charger until the battery is fully charged. Then, if you want, you can use your MacBook plugged in all the time, but remember to make a cycle at least once a month to keep the battery life. Also, do not let your MacBook turn off because its battery ran out of energy.

  • Does anyone have a recipe page layout?

    I would like to create either a book, or a number of pages with favourite family recipes.
    Does anyone have one or can you refer me to a site where I may copy one?
    Thankyou
    Jim

    So you are saying your bookshelf looks like this:
    I think I see the problem!
    Laying out a recipe page is not difficult.
    It consists of a Recipe Name, a photo, a list of ingredients, a list of instructions and some comments.
    Often not even all those, and certainly not rocket science.
    Take a sample recipe, lay it out like a recipe you have seen somewhere and save that as a Template.
    As Jamie Oliver points out it is faster to make your own Pizza (the way you like it) than to order it, with someone making it using dubious ingredients, and then driving it around to your place.
    Sometimes you just have to not automatically choose the inconvenient "Convenience" option.
    If you can't do that you probably can't cook either, so a moot point.
    Peter
