As far as I know they can't be deleted, just remove any personal info from it (credit card details etc) and stop using it.
If you downloaded any content via it then you will need to remember it and it's password, as content is tied to the account that bought/downloaded it, so if you move to a new computer you'll need to authorise the account on it if you want to use any of its content there (or if you bought apps with it you'll only be able to download updates to them via that account)

I just got my new iPhone4 set up today and it has pulled in every email that is in my desk top as being unread. Yet I have read all the emails. Still the iPhone thinks they are unread. Does anyone know how I can delete all of these emails at one time from the phone?
I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

Does anyone know how to recover contacts that have been gone missing or have been deleted somehow. The contacts that are missing are the ones where I only had phone numbers (no email address). The ones where I have both phone numbers and email addresses are ok. They are the same ones I have on my laptop. I dont know what I did to cause the ones with phone number only to disappear.

I know the importance of saving and updating your contacts. What type of phone do you have? If you are using Backup Assistant, you have the ability to sync the contacts between your laptop and phone. You will also be able to see if all your contacts are stored on the online portion of the application versus the phone itself. The contacts should be the same for both online and the phone.

Does anyone know how to permanently delete emails with attachments on the ipod touch?
Hey guys, a few months ago I sent an email from my cell to my ipodtouch(I have the newest model) to a friend(she has a older model) does anyone know if you delete the email by clicking on trash then will it be non recoverable? Thanks
You will need to empty also trash to be sure. The email and the attachment will not be on iPod but may be a copy will still be on a server of your provider according to the system he uses (IMAP or POP3) and according to the preferences you have set on the mail programs (leave message on the server... delete it after a date or after deleting it from inbox or... there are many possibility).
If the mail message is still on a server teoretically you can download it again from the iPod or even another computer.. of course knowing your account settings and password.
What is not clear in your message: you mention 3 devices: sent thge mail from your cell (1) to your iPod (2) and/or to your friend (3).
Added later: you will also need to check the SentMessage Folder because a copy of the mail could also be there if you sett to keep a copy there. -

Just been on holiday and one of our party lost his iPhone 4s.He didn't set it up on iCloud.He has it set to vibrate and it goes straight into voice mail. Does anyone know if there is a way of locating it without iCloud/MobileMe?
We do know his number which is a bonus I suppose

Boz1070Sorry, unless Find My Phone was turned on & activated on that phone, there is no way to locate it other than physically looking for it.

While setting up new iPhone 4S, I mistakenly mistyped my Apple ID (email address) so when I go to app store, that incorrect account is revealed. Trying to figure out how to change the Apple ID on the iPhone 4S to correct info. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks in advance for you help.

I doubt that there has been time for that process and has already been mentioned early failures
are probably checked out thoroughly before being recycled
In any event you would never know the difference between new and a refurb

Contact YOUR OWN carrier (provider/the company you pay for cellular service) and tell them about your problem with listening to your voicemails. They should be able to reset it for you.
To delete voicemails: Go to voicemail, choose a voicemail, and swipe left. The "delete" option will appear. -

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.

My printer is an HP 8600 OFFICE JET. I cannot print anything when using mozilla. when i'm using explorer and i go to yahoo or yahoo finance or any other website print my stock portfolios, email, etc. but i can't do that when i'm in mozilla.
I didn't have that problem with my HP OFFICE JET 8500.
HP support hasn't been able to resolve the issue.Does that printer appear in the "Printer -> Name" drop-down and can you select it?

I can not hear music in iTunes when I select a song for play in the "Store", but I can when I select them from my Library? I can hear music offered in "iTunes Preview", just not in the actual store. Contacted Apple Support and was advised to uninstall/re-install iTunes, but found you can't do that because it is integral to OSX? I previously downloaded Audirvana software after reading about it in Stereophile Mag. I could hear Store songs with the original version of Audirvana, and later updated it. After the update, no audio in the Store. I've had no luck with email exchanges to date with Audirvana, or with Apple Support. Any suggestions appreciated...
Try opening Audirvana and in the "Audirvana Plus" menu uncheck "iTunes Integrated Mode".

Why not? Are there error messages? Where are the files located? Why are you deleting MicroSoft Word files?

Unable to create cd from Image file
I downloaded the Solaris 8 for Intel, unzipped the files. I have been unsuccessful creating an image file for the file sol-8-1_01-fcs-bin-ia-v1. I have tried various CD writing applications. I was able to create images from the other files. Thanks
