Does anyone know how to lock a specific application, such as e-mail in Ipad?

I have my company email in my Ipad and I want to lock it in order to prevent whoever uses my Ipad to login to my email. Does anyone know how to lock a specific application or it cannot be locked?

There is a somewhat clunky way to do it. First, go into your mail (Settings - Mail/Contacts/Calendars) and turn off (dont' disable) any accounts you don't want to be seen. Then go into Restrictions - Accounts and select "Don't Allow Changes." This will prevent anyone from turning the mail back on. When you're ready to turn it back on, go into Restrictions and either Disable Restrictions or go into Accounts and select Allow Changes.

The feature has been removed to make safari even less useable. You need to download a third party browser like atomic web browser to get the functionality you want back.
Like many new IOS 7 "features", safari on the ipad is a FAIL.
At least you can now bury safari in a folder containing hundreds of icons that you can only view 9 at a time.

Friends! Does anyone as movies recorded with torrents broadcast via apple TV. In iTunes, they are not all copied. Maybe they can somehow transform or there is a way to bypass iTunes broadcast on TV. They are viewed on a computer in vlc player.

You were correct again. I deleted everything I had done to date and re-did the entire SMS backup of my 28 message conversation again and YES I was able to open it using IE-8. It looks great and it prints great and life is good! I am going to go make a donation.

Does anyone know how to block a specific person's e-mail acccount in Mail??

I am trying to block a specific person from sending me e-mail. They insist on sending me that forwarding crap that I hate, and refuse to ignore my pleas to stop. So I would love to be able to block their e-mail address from my Mail account so I won't be receiving mail from them any longer.
Is this possible to do in Mail?

Click on one of the unwanted messages.
Mail > Preferences > Rules tab.
Add Rule button.
Give the Rule a name: Block <pest's name>
If all of the following conditions are met.
(select)FROM (select)CONTAINS <email address of pest> in text box
Perform the following actions:
(select)DELETE
click OK then YES.
Done.
In the panel on the right side of this page.
click MY SETTINGS
When it comes up Avator: click Edit Avatar
click Choose Avatar
Choose an avatar
At the bottom of the page click SAVE SETTINGS.
Done.

Request for feature or does anyone know how to lock a playlist

I have a touchscreen which causes problems when selecting a playlist as it sometimes drops the list on playlist above or below thus duplicating the tracks into that playlist...nice feature but tedious if you do not want it to happen, let the kids at it for five minutes and bye bye nice playlists.
Whilst this feature is useful when wanted, when not (99% of the time in my case) it is aggravating as I have to tidy up the playlists frequently to put them back.
Either to be able to lock the playlists or have a setting to control that behaviour would be nice.
The only way I have figured round it is to put the tracks on a remote machine and share them as you can not mess with those playlists, now if only I had another machine to do that with...

Ive read about it in mail's help and tried to set it up according to it. Ive created a self-signed certificate but have no idea how to set it up as it would work with Mail so that i would be able to send signed messages. could anyone help me??

If you follow the instructions when you set up the certificate, you should be fine.
Incidentally, most +"ordinary users"+ (like me) do not use this function. I am curious as to why you want to jump through hoops in your Mail application.

I remember I did this before when I had ios 6 but I can't find that option anymore in ios 7.

Looking at the basic ListUI implementation, it looks like the UI bases its wrapping on the list height (dividing current height by element height). So, it will always grow horizontally, never vertically. Makes sense, I guess, but it leaves me with two hacks:
1) Add a listener to the data model that expands the list vertically based on the desired number of columns. As long as the list lives in a scrollpane, this isn't an issue.
2) Use a table instead of a list. I have a strong negative reaction to this, as it seems somehow wrong to take a component designed for two-dimensional data and use it to display one-dimensional data. It's also a royal pain to set up the table properly: create a facade TableModel that translates to the underlying ListModel, limit selection to a single cell, make sure that the table's header doesn't appear in the scrollpane, etc (I'm sure I'll find things I haven't thought of).

Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

- Charge the iPod for half an hour. Then reset the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- if still not working, connect to your computer. If iTunes sees the iPod, restore the iPod.

I followed the steps to unlock the .icc file in the "getinfo" screen then went on clicking repair in colorsync utility.
This is the message i got:

   Tag 'cprt': Text tag has an incorrect length. Fixed.
Repair done - 1 profiles fixed.
However, when i hit verify again it shows up like this:

New to mac so I really don't know what to do.
I didn't get this message so far. What i did before getting this message was to open a jpeg file. I wanted to edit it so when i did right click on the file i went to open with, and colorsync came as an option; so i chose it.
Then this message started comming up.

what exactly are you trying to accomplish here? i understand that you don't want to see the music status come up on your lock screen, but what are you trying to do by clicking your home button at all?

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help
You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure.
